
Spiritual Guidance From Your Higher Self - Talk

This talk presents directions on how you can do a "Higher Self" meditation. It explains the idea of the higher self and then teaches you how you can access deep wisdom by connecting with higher self. After listening to this talk you will be able to move to the "Spiritual Guidance from Your Higher Self Meditation."

Hello and welcome.
This meditation is for anybody who would like to connect with the higher parts of yourself.
We all have access to the higher parts or the wisdom aspect or the awakened aspect of ourselves.
That wisdom is always with us.
And if you can imagine that some point in the future or in the past,
You have been a person on this earth or somewhere else who is the highest form or highest wisdom of oneself.
So I want you to picture now who this person might be.
You can visualize yourself any way you would like.
For some of you,
It may be easy to visualize just as you would visualize any object.
It may be easy to see yourself as yourself,
Only some other form of yourself perhaps.
Or perhaps it is just a feeling that you have in your body when you think about what your highest self could be.
Either way,
Use any senses that you like to create this person,
Either through your visual imagination or your audio imagination or hearing them or any sort of feeling.
So maybe you can smell them.
Any sense is perfectly fine and you can use more than one sense to imagine this person.
So just take a moment now and imagine this person in your timeline of all that you are wanting to be and become.
Feel into this person.
You don't have to think about it too much.
Just feel them.
Now once you have this image,
And if you need more time perhaps,
You can pause this recording and spend a little bit more quality time on this aspect.
And you don't have to have it perfect now.
You can always come back to this over and over again and your imagination may change each time.
Whomever this person is,
This wisdom being,
They may change over time.
Once you have a feeling of this person or a visual image of this person,
Bring them to the forefront of your mind.
Now simply ask them any question that you desire to have the answer.
Any question that you want to come up with.
Perhaps if you cannot think of anything in this moment,
You could just ask what should I be doing right now?
What should I be doing right now?
Now feel for the answer.
What is the answer that this wisdom being,
Who is you?
Perhaps at some point in the future,
Perhaps now.
However you want to visualize this person and wherever point in time you would like to visualize them in is fine.
Simply ask them,
What does the you of now need to do right now in this very moment?
Now listen,
My higher self right now is telling me to share this wisdom with you.
So that is what I am doing.
Now let's say that the answer you have received does not feel like something you could do in this very moment.
Perhaps the task that has been offered to you feels extremely overwhelming and you think I can't do that right now and then you begin to feel obstacles in the way.
Then you simply go back to the higher self and ask once more,
Can you please offer me steps in between so I can get to what you are telling me to do?
What is just the first step of what I could do now to eventually achieve that goal that you have proposed?
And then you can shift to listening.
What is your higher self offering you?
What is an incremental step?
Now let's say that you have been offered an incremental step that still feels quite overwhelming and it doesn't feel like something you can do right now.
Now you can ask your higher self another question.
I see that you have given me step one but this step still feels extremely overwhelming to me.
Can you kindly offer me something even before this step so I may get to this first step?
And then you listen.
And you keep doing this until your higher self presents something that you think that you can indeed do right now.
Sometimes your higher self presents something that feels like it might be too much effort.
So you can ask your higher self to break that down even further.
Now let's say that is the smallest increment that the higher self can offer but you still feel stuck.
Ask what you can do to feel unstuck.
Remember your higher self is like an oracle.
Any wisdom,
Anything you might want to know is offered here.
You just have to remember in the moments that you feel like you need your higher self to come here.
This wisdom is always available to you.
Sometimes I like to do this meditation in a place that I feel safe.
Often water,
Which feels very very safe for me is the place I choose to do this meditation.
I can continue to ask questions throughout the session of my higher self.
And perhaps I want to listen to some answers about various aspects of my life.
Suppose I would like some wisdom and some guidance around my family.
I may choose to sit in a session and ask some questions.
And perhaps in the same session I would also like some guidance about the food choices I am making.
I can ask both of these things to my higher self.
Let's say I have been asking my higher self questions for about two hours.
But I haven't yet done anything.
Sometimes it can be exciting to receive this bit of wisdom of higher self as oracle.
And then we want to ask it all kinds of questions.
And it will keep answering us.
But the point of the meditation is to be able to take action on the things that the higher self offers.
So when the higher self begins to offer,
Continue to ask,
What is the step that I must take now?
Time is very very important to consider here.
The higher self can always tell you what to do at any given point in time.
But in reality,
The only time that we currently have in this body earth form is the present moment.
So if we are asking higher self about all kinds of things for the future,
That may not be helpful.
Because we have no control at the moment of the future.
The only thing we have control over is what happens now.
So the only wisdom that is important in this moment is the wisdom that the higher self can offer for what you're to do now,
In this moment.
So when you do this meditation,
Try and ground yourself first.
And by this I just mean,
Think about where you want to ask the questions.
Do you want to set aside an hour of time just to ask the higher self questions?
If you are going to spend that long,
Where will you be?
What room will you be in?
Will you have certain elements and objects around you when you do this meditation?
You do not need to do this meditation in any kind of a formal way.
In fact,
It can be good practice to just simply get into the habit of asking higher self,
What should I do right now?
What should I do right now?
Sometimes it can be helpful to ask a question about the future slightly.
What is my higher purpose?
So let's say that the higher self has offered you some clarity around what your higher purpose is.
And now you know what your higher purpose is,
But it feels daunting to get there.
This may not be the right time.
You may ask then,
What are the steps I need to take?
And then continue to break that down until you recognize that this is the moment to do this step.
It is important to consider time when working with the higher self.
This is the teaching of the higher self.
When you get caught in some traps,
Such as the higher self offers you something,
But you look at what it has offered and you say this cannot be done.
Then you say to your higher self,
Why can this thing not be done?
The important thing is to keep inside of inquiry and curiosity.
When there is a particular kind of stuckness and you feel that you can begin to get inquisitive and curious about that stuckness.
The higher self is not stuck.
It is all knowing and it does not have any limitations.
So when you feel stuck,
You can ask always the higher self,
Why do I feel stuck?
What can you offer me to help me to get unstuck from this?
I want you to continue to experiment with the higher self.
And as you move along,
I will offer more tips,
Tricks and guides and you can ask questions.
If you feel stuck in this practice,
The rule of thumb is to always ask the higher self.
But sometimes we get stuck even imagining who this higher self is.
You don't have to quite get it right.
But you can start to sense,
Am I still speaking to my higher self?
So sometimes when you get stuck,
Perhaps asking the question,
If you are stuck,
Are you really my higher self?
Can you please help me to feel my higher self again?
Remember,
The higher self is never stuck.
The higher self is all knowing and the higher self always has answers.
So when you get stuck,
Break it down.
When you still feel stuck,
Ask yourself if you are still feeling and connected to the higher self.
Now once you are finished,
You can ask the higher self,
Is this the end of the session?
And the higher self will offer that with clarity.
Yes,
Perhaps it says,
You're done with this session now.
This is enough for today.
So you may want to work incrementally with the higher self.
You may just set a little bit of time to work with them each day until you get used to talking to them.
You don't have to jump into always talking to your higher self.
But for others,
That may be more simple.
Perhaps it is easy to go about your day and just ask the higher self for guidance whenever that feels right.
There is no right or wrong way to do this meditation.
This is for you to experiment and perhaps you will ask the higher self questions and even this meditation will change for you.
This is just a beginning,
A start.
I hope that this offers some guidance to working with your own mind,
Your own heart and really having the confidence to see your higher self.
