This practice is for anyone who wants to connect with the deep wisdom of the higher self as a method to remove obstacles on one's path. Obstacles might include feeling stuck, overwhelm, stress, worry, or anything we are seeking wisdom or answers for. This meditation is a visualization practice which also uses all the other sense perceptions. If you do not have a strong ability to visualize, you can use any sense perception you wish to imagine with.

Part 2,

Guided Practice Now that you understand the higher self,

We will go through a simple visualization practice that can help you to get started.

Please feel free to alter this as you see fit,

Or create your own.

This is just one idea.

This practice is for anybody who wishes to work with the higher self in a dedicated time span.

Find a space that makes you feel safe.

It could be a room with your objects around.

It could be a bathtub.

It could be outside in nature.

It could be anywhere.

Now either lay down in a comfortable spot or sit.

Anything that makes you feel comfortable and good is really what we're trying to go for.

Once you find the comfortable spot and the position that you'd like to be in,

Close your eyes if that is helpful.

You can also leave them open to do this meditation.

Now imagine your higher self.

Visualize yourself in some point in time.

This part of yourself is all knowing.

This part of yourself has done so much spiritual work that this person has become awakened.

You ask this person now to come down and help you.

The current today version of yourself who sometimes feels lost.

You ask,

Please higher self,

Come down now.

Guide me,

Support me,

Help me in my journey.

You allow your higher self to appear.

However they appear is fine.

What do they look like?

Study their face for a moment.

What are they wearing?

Visually what do they seem like?

Do they have ornamental clothing on?

Special clothing on?

Do they have a golden halo surrounding them?

Do they have wings?

Are they translucent or opaque?

What do they look like in your mind's eye?

What do they sound like when they speak to you?

Can you hear them speaking?

Do they come forth in a feeling or thoughts?

Or perhaps in some other way?

How do they sound?

What does their voice sound like?

Is there music playing in the background?

What do they smell like?

Do they have a particular scent?

Is it the same scent as what you smell like today or is it different?

When you reach your hand out,

Can you touch them?

Are they see through?

Hollow?

Or can you feel them physically?

What does their presence feel like?

Are they smiling?

What is the expression on their face?

Remember this person is awake.

Whatever time period they are in,

They are awake.

What does awake feel like?

Are they restricted by time?

Do they know all?

Who are they?

Introduce yourself.

Say hello.

Just as you would with any new person that you meet.

Have casual conversation.

Hello.

How are you today?

Once you ask,

What did they answer?

How did they speak to you?

Do they ask you any questions?

Do you answer them?

Begin to have a conversation.

Now when you are ready,

Ask questions.

Whatever questions feel most relevant to you in this moment,

Ask.

What do I need in this moment?

I am confused about something going on in my life.

Can you offer me some guidance at this time?

I am feeling a lot of fear right now.

What can I do to help my fear?

Now listen for the answers.

See if the answer that you have received is something that you want to do,

That you feel like you can do.

If what you hear is something you feel you can do,

But perhaps you are not ready yet,

You can write this down so you do not forget,

Or you can always come back to higher self and ask the same question again.

Now let's say the higher self offers you something,

But you know this is a future thing,

But perhaps you want to get started now.

Now ask the higher self.

I see the wisdom you have offered,

And I will do this at some point in time.

However,

Now does not feel like the right time for me,

But I would like to get started.

Can you offer me a step that I could take today,

Right now,

As soon as we are done having this conversation?

Something I could do today to step into this direction.

Now listen.

Write this down,

And then look at it and ask yourself,

Is this a step that I can do today?

If the answer feels like yes,

Then you can thank your higher self and continue on.

If the answer still feels daunting,

And it is a clear no,

Then ask higher self.

Higher self,

I still don't feel like I can do this today.

Can you please offer me an incremental step to get to this first step?

Now listen.

Write this down.

Once again,

Ask yourself,

Does this feel like a step that I can take today?

And if you receive a yes,

Take the step.

If you receive a no,

Then ask the higher self once again to break it down even further.

Keep going until you find something that feels right for the moment.

Once you feel like you know what to do today or within the next hour,

You can thank your higher self for their guidance and ask them,

Is it okay if I were to call upon you in my times of need?

Given that higher self is so kind because they are higher self,

Their kindness pours out.

They tell you,

I am always available.

Thank them.

Now come back into your body.

Allow higher self to dissolve.

Knowing that you can come back to them,

You can always bring them forth again when you need.

Now see if you can take the wisdom that was offered to you and implement it.

And remember,

You can always call higher self in any given moment.
