Hello and welcome to open-hearted meditation.

In this practice today we'll explore finding stability in times of uncertainty.

So first finding a comfortable sitting position.

This can be on a chair or on the floor,

On a cushion,

Whatever is most comfortable for you.

But in whatever position you choose,

Have it so that it's easy for your body to relax,

To feel stable and supported.

So just taking a moment to arrive,

Arriving into your body,

Arriving into your position.

This doesn't need to be a rigid feeling either.

So always feel like it's okay to shift your body or adjust or stretch your legs,

Stretch your back.

Most important things to feel comfortable and at ease.

So in this beginning part of the meditation just think about coming into your body.

You can start with coming into your breath,

But instead of focusing on the breath so too much just allow your breath to be slow and light.

Letting go of your breath,

Allowing your body just to breathe naturally on its own.

Just think about relaxing.

Relaxing your body and with a feeling of as you relax slowly expanding.

Letting go of any tension in your body allows the space between yourself to get bigger.

As you relax more energy can flow more freely through your body.

And whatever situation you're in,

Even the most uncertain,

You still have your body.

The winds of change are always happening.

You can lose your home in an instant.

So let's think and focus on feeling at home in your body.

Relax into yourself.

Relax into your muscles and bones.

Relax into the soft slow breath.

Relaxing down into the cushion or the floor or chair you're sitting on.

Allow that ground to support you.

Let go and relax into that.

And at the same time feel yourself expanding upwards so that your body is tall and erect.

Your torso,

Spine,

And head are all in line.

The top of your head,

Your crown,

Is gently reaching for the sky.

With every breath you take,

Feel an expansion inside.

With every exhale,

Keeping that expansion,

Let go of any tension.

Feel the muscles in your neck and shoulders softening.

Feel the muscles up and down your spine loosening.

Feeling tension inside your body,

Inside of your torso,

Letting go.

Your abdomen and belly are soft.

Also letting go of any tension in your jaw,

In your face.

Let your face feel smooth and relaxed.

Coming home to your body,

Trusting your body,

And becoming friends with your body.

For just one more minute do a scan from your head down to your toes.

See if you can find any tension that you can let go a little more of.

And as you relax your body more,

Even when things outside in the outside world are uncertain or unstable,

You can always come back home to your body.

A soft animal nature of your being.

There is a deeper home in our body,

So now we can turn our attention to our heart.

You may have heard the phrase,

Home is where the heart is.

So now allow your heart to soften.

Try to feel if there's any anxiety or attention or nervousness in your heart.

Try to feel your heart opening and softening,

Allowing those feelings to dissolve.

You open your heart,

Love from your heart begins to shine out in the world,

And love from the world shining into your own heart.

And like warm water melting ice,

This love can dissolve those difficult emotions,

Setting your heart free to move,

To open.

With every slow and light breath you take,

Feel your heart expanding and relaxing.

Imagine your heart is full of love,

Overflowing,

Love from your heart pouring out into the world,

Connecting with love that already exists in the world.

Feel your heart opening up to the heart of nature,

To the love in nature,

Connecting with the beauty of this planet,

All the trees and animals,

The mountains and rivers.

Feel your heart connecting with the earth,

The heart of the earth,

Even imagining your heart connecting with the universe.

When your heart connects with the earth and nature and the universe,

You begin to feel like this big body of love,

A big heart,

Always at home,

Always at home on the earth,

Always at home in nature,

Always at home in the whole universe.

Keep allowing your heart to open and connect,

Love from your heart shining out everywhere and love from all around shining back into your heart.

And for one more minute allow your heart to continue to open.

Feel more love into your heart,

Shining out from your heart.

You you you And now begin to forget about your heart and just feel love,

Feel the unconditional love surrounds you,

Energizes you,

The most basic original energy of the universe,

This big love,

Universal love,

Unconditional love,

Forgetting about your body,

The room you're in.

Allow yourself to feel merged with this love at home.

No matter what's going on in the outside world,

Any conflicts or disputes,

There's always this presence of unconditional love,

Deep stability,

Ever-present truth of love.

You Just keep letting go,

And resting in that universal and unconditional love.

Become one with that love.

You you you You can adjust one more minute to allow yourself to merge with that love.

You and the universe are one.

You and the universe are one.

You and the universe are one.

You and the universe are one.

And now slowly start to become aware again of your own heart,

Of your own body,

Of your own body,

Of your soft and light breath.

Seeing that feeling of merge with this universal and unconditional love,

With that perspective,

Can look at events in your life a little differently.

Sensing that constant presence,

Deep stability of love,

Even in the midst of any change.

So the power of your own heart,

Love from your own heart,

Being a steady presence.

And feeling that relaxed,

Open body as your constant companion in the sea of change.

Cultivating a deep feeling of equipoise,

Meaning when things get challenging or down in your life you don't get too despair,

Or when things are really good you don't get too excited.

Finding this steady and constant feeling.

Feel and imagine your body's going through life always relaxed,

Your heart always open,

This universal and unconditional love always connected.

In the midst of any uncertainty,

You can first connect with your body and your breath,

Connect with your heart,

Connect with the universe,

Connect with the love.

That's amazing.

And for just one more minute,

Imagining the deep stability of unconditional love flowing through your life,

Flowing through the world,

Holding all of the change in any uncertainty or confusion.

Is this steady and constant unconditional love?

And feel yourself always at home in this love.

As you begin to return back to your body,

Feeling yourself on the floor or cushion or chair,

Letting yourself take a couple of deep breaths,

As you're returning back to your normal life,

Back to the room you're in.

Thank you for joining me in this open-hearted meditation practice today on finding your home,

Your true home in the midst of uncertainty.
