When you are comfortable and feeling ready,

Let your eyes close and bring your attention to your breath.

Fill your belly with air as you breathe in 2,

3,

4 and slowly exhale through your nose out 2,

3,

4.

Now bringing all of your awareness to your body,

Feel the muscles in your face relax.

With the next breath in,

Feel your shoulders lower as your chest rises and falls.

Feel your arms and legs get heavier and sink further into relaxation.

Feel your body completely relax,

Breathing out any tension that may be lingering,

Feeling calm and at peace.

As you feel yourself anchored here in the present,

Relaxed and at ease in this moment,

You may notice some thoughts or emotions begin to drift through your mind.

Whatever thoughts or emotions you may be experiencing,

They are a natural and normal part of our human experience.

Times of stress or uncertainty can sometimes make us feel overwhelmed and mentally or even physically tired and depleted.

If we are not sure how to deal with these thoughts and feelings,

We can also begin to feel disconnected from others,

Even those closest to us.

Whenever we experience these challenges,

Taking a few deep breaths can help us to shift our awareness back to the present moment and to be able to sit with our feelings and observe them calmly and with acceptance.

You can let go of unhelpful feelings and thoughts by reconnecting to the positive things in your life right now.

You can visualize the smiles of people who care about you,

The sound of music that moves your soul,

Getting lost in a book or any moment that brings you pleasure or a sense of wellbeing.

As you can imagine yourself in a place where you feel safe and protected or somewhere in nature or a special place that holds positive feelings or memories for you,

A place that makes you feel good.

When you feel gratitude for some of the positive things in your life,

You can also choose to let go of negative thoughts.

You can decide whether to give energy to doubts and fears or to open your mind to an awareness behind your thoughts and actions that will help you address any unmet needs you might have and navigate your day and your life with more ease.

Remember that you can easily return to your own safe space of inner calm anytime you choose.

You can release uncomfortable thoughts and emotions by closing your eyes,

Exhaling deeply and setting any negative energy free as easily as letting go of a balloon and watching it drift away on the breeze.

You always have the power to choose your thoughts and what deserves your attention.

But no matter what you decide to do,

It's okay,

What you do today is enough,

You are enough and this moment,

Like all moments,

Shall pass.

Now you can begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Allowing your body to awaken,

Refreshed and re-energised.

Feel your body rise and fall with your breath and breathe in gratitude for this moment.

Trust that you will have everything you need within you to deal with each challenge as it evolves.

Take a deep breath and when you are ready,

Let your eyes reopen.
