**UPDATED: Based on listener feedback, I have lowered the music volume in this track. I hope you enjoy this gentler, softer version!** This is a visual-auditory journey through your inner emotional landscape to slowly soften bits of numbness, emotional tension, and dissociation. It is so easy to numb, to protect, to forget that we are alive. That we have deep feelings that are meant to be expressed and felt. This meditation is your daily emotional check-in. Music: Nod by Lo Mimieux; The Crossing of Time by Gavin Luke; Nocturne in the Rain by Megan Wofford; Ocean Waves by Chris Collins; Thunder & Rain by Chris Collins; Morning Light Serenade by Martin Landh

Today's session is an inner visual and auditory journey to find the hidden emotions that we have been avoiding.

Sit comfortably,

Your eyes closed,

Sensing into any areas of your body that need attention and breathing into those places to soften.

Breathing in through your nose,

Holding for a second and breathing slowly out your mouth.

Ease in your shoulders,

Your jaw,

Your forehead.

This is a walk through the paths of your heart.

Feel the ascending and descending of your breath between your throat and belly.

Let the wind blow through the foliage of your heart,

Let it move and swirl,

Take the time you need to settle into the vastness of the forest within.

This is you,

The enormousness of your heart,

The immensity of your ability to feel and find yourself through feeling.

Experience the sensations of the whispering winds of emotion again,

The tickling vulnerability,

Conscious of your emotional landscape appearing before you.

Let me guide you to travel the paths of your emotions again,

Uprooting weeds of numbness,

Avoidance,

Fear.

Use the light of the tenderness at your core,

Your rich,

Boundless,

Verdant heart with dark pockets of sadness,

Large fields of longing and streams of grief,

Flowers of happiness and joy,

The sunshine of peace and contentment,

And sometimes the glint of shame.

A tiny core of stillness in the heart like the eye of a violet,

D.

H.

Lawrence.

Continuing to breathe and with each breath,

Becoming more and more relaxed and open to your emotions,

Entering deeper into your own still sanctuary with each breath,

Each tense moment of vulnerability relaxing into what you feel.

There is an ocean within you and an eternal rise and fall of breath,

Of feelings,

Of thoughts,

Of sensations.

Let each emotion come as a wave and then recede in its own time.

So,

Encourage patience and time,

Instead of hardening around what is happening within you right now,

Continue to soften.

Soften your shoulders,

Your jaw,

Your forehead again and again,

Breathing from belly to throat.

If frustration,

Anger,

Shame come up,

Allow these emotions to thunder through today and be cleansed by it all.

Watch the clops of thunder come and go,

Seeing their electric energy in the dark sky of your mind.

As each cloud passes,

Feel it,

Feel the thunder and the chill of the spray and the reverberating in your chest,

Emotions moving freely like the rain,

Thundering loud and then calming.

Tears are words that need to be written.

Sadness and longing are aged emotions,

Years in the cask of our lives,

The most valuable vintage.

All of those beautiful aged emotions,

Let them be seen and felt.

Breathing deeply,

Feeling the cloudiness of the beautiful gray within you.

With each breath,

Feeling them gather,

Condensing and pouring down.

It is safe to feel.

Let your sadness accumulate,

Spilling the cup within,

The rain of soft sadness falling from the cloudiness in your heart.

A rain of memories,

Of regrets,

Of lessons,

Of pain,

Of acceptance.

Tasting the precipitation of your feelings condensed in the atmosphere of your mind and heart.

Tensing and softening tight areas in your body,

Listening to what your body wants.

Do not make your heart stone,

Unable to catch fire.

The fire is necessary,

It is human,

To remind us of who we are,

What we want,

What we prize,

What matters.

5.

Starting at the top of your head,

Tighten your jaw,

Hold,

And loosen completely.

Pull your shoulders tightly up to your ears,

Hold,

Now drop them down completely.

Pull your arms tightly into your chest,

Clenching your fists at the same time,

Hold,

And loosen your arms and hands completely.

Tense your stomach,

Hips,

And glutes,

Hold,

Now completely relax them.

6.

Now your legs,

Tensing,

Holding,

And releasing.

Finally your feet,

Curl them up,

All your toes tensing and holding.

Now release.

7.

Now tense your entire body,

Hold,

Hold,

Hold.

And as you release,

Imagine all the stuck emotions flowing out of your body,

Releasing,

And letting go.

Placing your hand on your heart,

Feeling again.

How do you feel after that?

I hope there's a lightening,

A loosening,

Knowing that feeling is available to you.

You can let your emotions bubble up and increase anytime you need.

I have found it helpful to do something like this daily.

I hope you'll join me again soon.
