Hello and welcome to Bounce Back.
This practice is all about recognizing how to bounce back after a challenging or hard time.
To start this practice let's find our comfy seat and when you are ready you can close your eyes.
Bring your awareness to your breath and begin to take some nice healthy breaths in and out.
As you sit here try to imagine a ball.
The kind of ball that bounces really high.
You are kind of like a ball and it's healthy for us to build our bounce back skills just like a ball.
Although the ball may fall to the ground it still bounces back into the sky.
Full of life and ready to play.
We can bounce back each time we fall down too.
Sometimes in life or in school or even with our family and friends we are given challenging or maybe even some things that we don't like.
These things can make us feel down.
Upset or even feeling kind of stuck.
Being able to bounce back means not staying down for too long because we know that life is full of tricky situations and that we can build skills to bounce back.
Bounce back to be ourselves and ready for more challenges to come our way.
Things like trusting yourself and your own ideas,
Feeling okay to try new things and being okay with making mistakes.
Making mistakes are actually a great way to learn and grow.
It's also helpful to remember that these tricky times do not last forever and as you build your bouncing back skills means that when you my friend are met with your next challenge Repeat to yourself after me.
I can bounce back after a challenge.
I trust myself.
I am not afraid to make mistakes.
I can bounce back.
I am not afraid to make mistakes.
I can bounce back.
When you are ready slowly make some nice gentle movements in your body.
Roll your shoulders and make some last wiggles in your fingers and toes.
When you are ready you can now open your eyes.
Remember at any time today you can always bounce back to being your awesome self.
