And welcome to this meditation on changing habits.
My name is Juana,
And I'm honored to lead you through this journey to creating healthier,
Better habits for yourself.
Start by finding yourself a comfortable position with a straight spine and eyes closed.
Tune into the flow of your breath.
How is it doing?
Feel your chest expand as you inhale and contract as you exhale.
From here,
We will move into a space of deep mental and physical relaxation.
I would like you to inhale to the count of three,
Hold your breath for a moment,
And then exhale to the count of three and hold for another moment before you begin the pattern all over again.
So let's begin.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Hold right there.
Inhale three,
Two,
One,
Hold for a moment.
In one,
Two,
Three,
Hold.
Out three,
Two,
One,
Hold.
Keep the rhythm going on your own.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Hold.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Hold.
Sense yourself getting more and more mentally relaxed with each breath in and out.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Hold.
Let go of your count and continue breathing slowly and mindfully as I take you through a deep body relaxation.
We will begin at the top of your head and make our way down,
Releasing any stored up tension as we go.
Envision a warm light slowly making its way down your body,
Starting at the crown of your head.
Experience your head slowly relaxing.
Mentally repeat to yourself,
Head relax.
Feel the light moving down to your temples and silently repeat,
Temples relax.
See your conscious scan as I bring attention to every part of your body.
Repeat after me as you focus on relaxing this specific area.
Eyes relax.
Jaw relax.
Neck relax.
Throat relax.
Shoulders relax.
Arms relax.
Hands relax.
Chest relax.
Stomach relax.
Hips relax.
Thighs relax.
Knees relax.
Shins relax.
Ankles relax.
Feet relax.
Toes relax.
Sense the ground below you supporting your entire body.
Allow your body to rest as you bring your attention back to your breath,
Feeling your nasal rise and fall with each inhale and exhale.
You are now in a state of complete mental and physical relaxation.
As you bask in the space of peace and stillness,
Bring to mind a habit that you currently have that is no longer serving you.
See for yourself how it is holding you back.
Feel the frustration,
Pain or problems it is causing you.
Why do you want to change this habit?
You must know your why in order to create any meaningful change.
Why do you want to shift this habit?
Next I want you to see yourself taking action to change this habit.
What would that look like?
What would it feel like?
Allow yourself to receive any inspired action steps.
Envision yourself making this change,
Taking the steps,
Living out this habit.
Finally I want you to see and feel the end result of having incorporated this change into your life.
How would your life be changed?
How would that look?
How would that feel?
Who would you be?
How would you act?
Who would be affected by this change besides you?
See how those around you would react to you.
Experience the contrast of the problems and pain your old habit is causing you versus the freedom and joy you will experience once you replace it with a new one.
The choice is quite clear,
No?
As we prepare to move out from this meditative space,
I want you to feel,
Think,
Speak and act as if your new habit is already in place.
If you fail one day,
That is quite alright.
That is all part of the growth process.
Return to this meditation as much as is needed to make this habit your new reality.
By reprogramming your mind,
You are reprogramming your habit.
With enough focus,
Determination and a vision of where you want to be,
Anything is possible for you.
Just believe it into being.
It's time to slowly transition out of your meditation.

Connect with your body.
Four,
Connect with the ground beneath you.
Three,
Wiggle your fingers.
Two,
Wiggle your toes.
And one,
Flutter open your eyes.
