Hello and welcome to this meditation that you can take and practice whilst feeding your little one.

This can be taken sitting or lying down.

You could be meditating whilst you're breastfeeding or bottle feeding your baby.

It's simply a meditative practice to help you rest,

To help you stay mindful and to help you find calm amidst a time that can feel almost chaotic,

Quite tiring for sure and absolutely transformational.

So get comfortable.

No matter how you're arranged,

Whether you're sitting or lying,

Make sure that you feel supported and propped up with cushions,

With pillows,

Duvets,

So that you experience minimal strain,

As minimal effort as possible,

Hopefully zero.

But it's understandable if you can reach somewhere close to zero instead.

And now close your eyes.

Allow yourself to tune in to this moment.

Tuning in to this precious moment of you nourishing and soothing your baby.

Now take a deep inhale in through the nostrils.

Exhale slowly through parted lips,

Like you're exhaling through a straw.

And again,

Deep inhale.

Full exhale through the mouth,

Again,

Like you're gently blowing through a straw.

Feel how your shoulders soften,

How your facial expression can release.

One more time,

A deep inhale.

A soft,

Slow,

Steady exhale through your mouth,

Feeling more parts of you soften,

Let go and receive rest.

And with now easy breath,

Gentle breath,

No effort.

Your awareness is drawn to the connection of you with your baby.

Feel into the softness of your baby.

Notice the sensation of them resting on or near you.

Tune in to their taking comfort in this closeness,

This precious moment that they can hold with you.

Listen to the sounds that they make.

Notice the movements that they make.

Notice the love,

The tender,

Patient love that arises when you begin to notice every aspect of how your baby is in this moment.

You and your baby.

And you and your baby sharing this moment together.

And you're now scanning your body.

You can start at the crown of the head.

Travel your awareness down through the face,

Through the jaw,

The chin,

The mouth.

Down through the neck,

The shoulders,

The arms,

Into the thumbs and the fingers.

Your awareness traveling down from the chest through the belly,

Into the hips,

Down the legs and into the feet and the toes.

As you swim your awareness through the whole of your body from head to fingers to toes and everywhere in between.

Send any gratitude and appreciation that you can feel to this body.

This body that created this child.

That is growing life.

This body with creative power that can weave magic in such a way that it can birth this precious being.

And begin to raise and parent this beautiful child.

Land your awareness into the space at the center of your chest.

Land your awareness at your heart.

And feel its energy now.

As you feel the energy of your heart.

Allow love to grow.

Tune in to the sensation of the emotion of love growing from the center of your chest.

And as if with each breath this sensation can grow bigger.

And it takes up more space.

And it fills into every pocket and every corner,

Every fold and every crevice of your body.

You're sending love,

Appreciation and gratitude to every cell within your being.

Soon you feel the whole of you glowing,

Vibrating,

Filled with the love of both yourself and your baby.

Abundant with the preciousness of this moment.

This moment,

This quiet moment right here,

Right now.

With you and your very precious little one.

Now come back to your breath.

Allow a soft rise and fall of your breath as you feed your little one.

No effort,

Just softness.

Satisfaction.

Comfort.

Making the most of this quiet moment.

One breath at a time.

One moment at a time.

You and your little one.

And you can stay here for as long as you would like.

Or as long as your little one allows you,

Of course.

You can remain here breathing,

Appreciating and allowing your awareness to stay in this moment.

Namaste.
