Welcome.
Welcome to this Breath for Energy practice.
You've probably found yourself here because you're not sure what else to do.
Feeling so tired.
So exhausted.
And yet,
There's still so much more that you need to give.
It might be that you've spent parts of today wondering how you'll get through.
Feeling like a wilted version of yourself.
Trying so hard,
Yet running on empty.
Here's a breath practice to fill you back up.
A short exploration of your breath that gives to you.
Nourishes you and replenishes your stores.
So go ahead.
Sit comfortably or lie comfortably.
Close your eyes.
Place your hands on your belly.
And tune in to the movement of your breath.
Feel how your hands move with your belly.
Your soft belly presses into your hands as you breathe in.
You expand the whole of you.
And then your belly draws back gently.
Your hand follows and you feel how your body returns to its normal position.
Let your breath deepen.
Breathing with your breath moving in your belly.
And now feel as though you can keep your belly relatively still.
And breathe in to your ribs.
Feel how your ribs can expand with the breath.
And then how they draw back to the centre when you breathe out.
The inhale lifts the ribcage forwards.
Backwards.
Sidewards.
Upwards.
And the exhale softly brings everything back to centre.
Next we're going to breathe into both and hold the breath.
So we'll meet on an exhale.
And now inhale into your belly.
When your belly is full take that breath up into your ribs.
When you're completely full hold on to the breath for a count of 1,
2,
3.
Slowly exhale through the mouth.
Feel the ribs draw back,
The belly draw back.
And at the bottom of the exhale hold on for 1,
2,
3.
Inhale into your belly.
When that's full lift up into the ribs.
When that's full hold 1,
2,
3.
Exhale all the way down from the ribs through the belly.
When you get to the bottom hold 1,
2,
3.
One more time now.
Inhale into the belly.
Up into the ribs.
Once you reach the top of your breath hold for 1,
2,
3.
And slowly exhale.
Everything softens and you find yourself at the bottom of the exhale.
And you hold for 1,
2,
3.
Now breathe normally in and out through the nostrils.
As you're breathing normally here now notice how do you feel?
Can you feel your shoulders releasing?
Can you feel tension melting away from your jaw?
Your eyes softening in their sockets?
Can you feel your hands,
Your fingertips?
Gentle hum and vibration of what it's like to just be your hands and your fingers here.
Same for your feet.
Tune in,
Soles of the feet,
Toes.
This breath practice helps you to soften your nervous system.
Relax your mind.
Allow intention to melt away.
Stay here and breathe for as long as you need to.
Experience the whole of your body.
The whole of you.
Finding a new state of consciousness.
A new comfort.
A new relaxed state.
