This is a place to rest for a couple of minutes.
Today we practice a gratitude meditation.
Gratitude is an inner state of mind where one cultivates recognition for oneself and one's surroundings.
To feel gratitude consciously means that we can go through life with more balance.
We want to learn to focus on the positives and to feel appreciation for what we experience.
Find a place in a quiet environment.
You can lie down or sit down comfortably.
It is important that you can breathe freely and that your breath can flow well.
When you are ready,
Take a few deep breaths in and out.
Be aware of the sound you hear in the background.
Feel the contact of your body with the floor or chair and arrive here and now.
Breathe in and out.
You hear a recurring sound,
A pulse that will accompany you through this meditation.
This pulse comes and goes all by itself,
Just like the breath that comes in and out through the nose.
Be thankful that your breath nourishes you every day in every moment.
Breathe in and out calmly.
In and out.
Listen to the recurring pulse of music that carries you like your breath all by itself.
Now I invite you to think about the significant moments and people in your life.
Observe which images and feelings arise in you.
Give thanks that these moments and people exist and are part of your life.
Breathe deeply in and out and try to store this feeling of gratitude.
By focusing on certain thoughts and feelings,
They are nourished and can grow,
Regardless of what those thoughts are.
You therefore focus on appreciating the positive things in life and practice giving them space.
Now imagine yourself standing in front of a mirror.
Smile at yourself.
Notice yourself in fear gratitude for this very moment.
Perhaps you feel a sense of warmth.
Accept this moment as it is.
And yet you find something more specific for that moment.
Now the reflection changes.
And you see a person who means a lot to you.
Maybe you feel affection and appreciation for this person.
If you wish,
Send the person a smile.
Stay in this moment.
Accept this moment as it is.
And you see a person who means a lot to you.
Remember how your reflection smiles at you.
