Wherever you are,
Come to a comfortable seated position or maybe lying down whether it's sitting up in a chair,
Sitting up on your mat,
Lying down in your bed wherever you are just have a little wiggle starting to connect with the body feeling your feet on the floor,
Maybe feeling your bottom on the chair or on a block being grounded is all about becoming a little bit more present so it's very easy for us in this modern world to get a little bit flighty maybe to get carried away with the manicness of life and it's super important to take time to ground yourself down and this grounding down gives us time to hone in on what is important.
It allows us to become ever present within ourselves and what it is we want and need.
When you find this comfortable position take a moment to notice your breath,
The inhales,
The exhales and not making any changes or any judgments just allowing yourself this space to allow the breath to naturally flow in and flow back out again maybe just to release any stagnant energy.
Let's take a big deep breath through the nose and a sigh throughout the mouth feeling those shoulders melt down your spine,
Lengthening through the back,
Expanding our energy centers.
Now we want to become a little bit more mindful and a little bit more present feeling into the body and taking a little bit of a scan noticing where we are at physically in this moment noticing how the feet and the ankles feel,
The legs,
Moving up the body to the hips and the pelvis,
The torso,
Traveling up again to the shoulder,
The throat,
The head,
Recognizing where the body is,
Almost taking yourself outside of your body and feeling what it's like to be looking at yourself sitting or laying there connecting to mama earth and if you have your eyes closed maybe flicker the eyes open just for a moment and without any big changes without moving your head just notice your surroundings notice the room around you the space around you whatever it is each time noticing any shapes or colors then inviting any smells in around you slowly coming back to your inside world closing off those eyes and now recognizing any kind of shapes or shadows or flickers on the back of the eyelids there might be nothing it might be darkness and that is it that is absolutely okay as well maybe there is a color just recognizing it and just being aware of yourself here and acknowledging if you can feel now the body slowly starting to relax a bit more bringing the mind back to the breath the simplicity of the inhales and the exhales breathing in breathing back out and i invite you to count your inhales and count your exhales working with your own rhythm maybe in for three and out for three or in for four and out for four really trying to keep the inhales and the exhales equal in length allowing ourselves to find a little bit of silence and stillness working through those inhales and exhales now allowing now allowing your breath to come back to its natural pace coming to find a visualization and as you inhale feeling a warm bright light at the crown of the head and as that inhale continues that light traveling all the way down the spine lighting up your whole body with energy as it comes in drawing that light all the way down towards the feet as you exhale letting that light come through the toes and really connecting with the earth so any part of the body that is connected to the earth right now just really feel it recognize this connection and again inhaling and drawing that light all the way in filling your chest allowing your lungs to expand your belly to expand the light travels the whole way down the spine lighting up your energetic field and aura and drawing it all the way down through the feet through any parts of the body that are connected to wherever you are positioned right now grounding you cementing you here but in a gentle way that still allows you to grow and still allows you to shine just continuing to breathe in this way light coming in drawing it all the way down gently flowing through the body through the body notice if any particular colors arise for you or any other visualizations just let them be there it's like we are sliding down a waterfall washing it away coming down to the feet light draws in through the fingertips through the toes grounding us down finding our strengths finding our stability and seeing how it feels to go even deeper here when you bring that light in and it travels all the way down your body to your feet see if you can travel down to your roots those little stands connecting us to our authenticity of who we really are and really giving space and allowing that energy to just swirl around through the body the auric field wherever it needs to travel the whole time staying with the breath the inhale the exhales allowing the mind now to slowly drip back into the physical body noticing the body maybe giving a wiggle with the fingers and the toes the eyes remaining closed nothing away from the visualization and feeling into the body and knowing that anytime life gets a bit hectic and you lose sight of your ground you lose sight of your stability those roots that breath your body is the place you can always return to whether or not you come back to this meditation or if it's just a moment here or a moment there whatever works for you and take a moment to allow everything in this meditation that resonated with you to just sink in a little bit deeper and anything that didn't just let it go let it go and taking one more big breath in and let it all out through the mouth exhale maybe rolling those shoulders back finding a bit of a yawn fluttering open the eyes namaste
