Thank you for joining me and for trusting me to guide your body and mind to a more peaceful state.
First I want you to take a look around the room that you're in,
Noticing that it is a safe space,
Noticing that there are no immediate threats to your safety,
And noticing that this space has the capacity to be a healing space for you now in this moment.
Often when we are in a state of panic,
Our body is sending emergency signals all throughout,
Ringing alarms,
Causing uncomfortable sensations and whirling thoughts,
And we can send cues to the body and to the mind that we are safe and that it is okay to turn off the alarms.
I want to take you on a little visualization journey now.
So just close down your eyes and follow along with me.
In your mind's eye,
Visualize yourself standing in front of a refrigerator.
Open the freezer.
Feel the cold air rush out towards you.
Take out an ice cube.
Hold the ice cube on the inside of your wrist.
Rub the ice cube around on the inside of your wrist.
Feel the cold sensation rush through your wrist and arm.
Breathe.
And now we're moving.
Now visualize yourself standing in a giant field of wildflowers.
Reach down and grab a handful of wildflowers and pull them from the ground.
Look down at the wildflowers you've pulled.
What colors do you see?
What shapes of flowers do you see?
Smell them.
And now we're moving again.
Visualize yourself standing on the side of a creek,
A shallow creek.
You can see the bottom.
Step into the creek.
Feel the water rush around your feet and ankles.
Notice the temperature of the water.
Feel the stone underneath of your feet.
Look up and see the sun shining bright upon you.
Feel the warmth from the sun start to build on the top of your head and your forehead.
Breathe.
Stay here for a moment,
Letting the sun rays hit your face.
The sun rays warming and healing the parts of you that need healing.
And the water that you're standing in washing away the tension,
Pulling out the anxiety from the bottoms of your feet and washing it away in the creek.
Just breathe here.
And now we're moving again,
Keeping the eyes closed,
Moving back into the room that you're in.
Feeling your body supported by the surface beneath you.
And listen to the following affirmations with an open heart and open mind.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
My body is safe.
My body is safe.
My body is safe.
I have everything I need in this moment.
I have everything I need in this moment.
I have everything I need in this moment.
I choose to let go in this moment.
I choose to let go in this moment.
I choose to let go in this moment.
My body and mind are relaxing more with every breath.
My body and mind are relaxing more with every breath.
My body and mind are relaxing more with every breath.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
And through your nose,
I invite you to take your biggest inhale of the day.
Inhaling,
Filling all the corners of your belly with air,
Filling the belly and slowly releasing the air through the exhale,
Letting it all go.
Fully exhaling through your nose.
Breathe deep into the belly,
Filling the belly and exhale.
Let it all go.
And one more inhale,
Filling the bottom corners of the belly,
The top corners of the belly and the chest.
Inhale and releasing all of the tension within you,
Blowing out through your breath,
Away from your body.
And return to any natural state of breathing that feels good for you.
