
Guided Meditation To Stop Overthinking & Worrying
If you feel like overthinking and over worrying are disrupting your quality of life, give this meditation a try. We'll use guided techniques to call on our Higher Self to release what no longer serves us. Know that you are safe and you are a powerful self healer. You have the tools within to say goodbye to the overthinking self. Relax, settle in, and prepare for the transformative journey.

There are many reasons why during periods of our lives we may get stuck in an uncomfortable loop of overthinking,
Worrying,
Or just feeling uneasy when we're left alone with our thoughts.
We are just human and we are faced with challenges from our external world every day.
There are techniques we can use not only to quiet the mind but to aid the mind to return to a peaceful state where we aren't feeling the need to control,
To overthink the outcome of our lives,
But where we are simply the observers of our external world and we are in realization that uncertainty is about the only certainty in this life and there's something beautiful in that.
During this meditation we will meet with our higher self.
With our higher self we will become the observers of our thinking self.
Our higher self will aid in the release of the thoughts that circle our minds,
The thoughts that keep us from getting a restful night's sleep,
The thoughts that no longer serve us.
Your higher self is you,
The one who hasn't been affected by societal standards,
Pressures,
Or trauma of living here as humans on earth,
The part of you who is connected to the universal world,
The part of you who contains the energy of your highest potential.
This is who we will call on today.
Our thinking self has kept us safe for years and we are thankful to our active minds for keeping us prepared and getting us to where we are now.
But we have grown.
We know better now and we are ready to release and let go.
We are ready for the next step in our journey towards a peaceful mind and the ability to access a restful state.
So let's start by making sure you're comfortable whether you're seated or lying down,
Adjust your clothing or grab a pillow or blanket if you'd like.
If you haven't already,
Close down the eyes.
Place the hands comfortably beside you or on your lap and if it's accessible place the palms facing upwards.
Let's set the intention that we are open to receiving the universe's guidance during today's meditation.
Begin to simply observe your breath.
We aren't judging our breathing but just simply observing,
Saying hello to our breath and listening like it's an old friend telling a story.
Maybe you're breathing slowly and deeply,
Taking breath all the way into the belly.
Maybe a bit more shallow,
Maybe a bit quicker,
Maybe somewhere in the middle.
Can you feel the air passing through your nose?
Does it feel cool on your nostrils?
Can you relax the jaw any further?
Can you release the tongue a bit more?
Is there any tension hanging on in your neck or shoulders that we can let go of?
First I want you with your eyes closed to become aware of how safe your surroundings are.
You're sitting or lying down comfortably and there are no immediate threats.
You are in a safe place where you are ready to transform to a meditative state where healing can occur.
Continue to observe the breath and remember at any point if your mind drifts from the meditation you are not lost.
Just simply return to the breath and the breath will guide you back to the meditation.
Begin to visualize a beautiful blue sky,
A perfect weather day with just a few clouds painted across the sunny skies.
Maybe you can feel the sun shining down on your face or maybe there's a breeze floating across your hands.
Maybe the sky is a pale blue or a vibrant blue.
Maybe the clouds are full and fluffy or maybe they're thin and wispy.
Begin to focus on one certain cloud that begins to stand out to you.
Observe its characteristics.
This cloud begins to gently float down,
Lower and lower through the sky to meet you where you are on the ground and it begins to surround you and cocoon you.
Observe how relaxing it feels to be wrapped in this cloud.
This cloud begins to take you on a gentle journey.
Next you want to ride up and up and up through the skies,
Through the other clouds and up and up and up until you reach a room in the sky.
This is your healing room where your higher self lives.
You enter the room and you see that it is decorated just to your liking.
How is it decorated?
What color are the walls?
Are there wood floors or tile?
Is there a rug?
Is there a floor lamp or a chandelier?
Are there candles burning?
Visualize your perfect room now.
Just be sure that there is a comfortable couch available for you as well as a fireplace burning.
Expertise available and Discovery-ism impactful on the everyday-meNazi consciously and emotionally Now that you have your healing room set up,
Take a seat on your couch.
Settle in and take a moment to invite your higher self to sit with you on your couch.
You may see your higher self as you see yourself now or maybe a version of you that you don't recognize yet.
Join hands with your higher self so that you are now fully thinking and feeling with the innermost wisdom of the entire universe.
You are now infinitely intuitive and a powerful self-healer.
Breathe gently here.
Now is the time where we will ask our higher self a question.
You will know that when the answer comes to your mind,
You can trust this answer as it is truthful and intuitively correct for your highest good.
Please ask your higher self,
What fear-based thought is holding me back in my life?
When you have your answer,
Ask your higher self,
Why is this thought coming up for me?
When you have your answer,
Ask your higher self,
Is it okay to release this thought so that it can no longer affect me?
As you sit on your comfortable couch in your healing room,
You look in front of you and you see a few pieces of paper and a pen.
When you're ready,
Walk to the fireplace and lovingly release this thought by throwing it into the fire.
Stay in front of the fireplace,
Feeling the heat,
Watching the paper burn as the universe handles this fear-based thought for you so that it can no longer affect you.
When you're ready,
Return to your couch and again join hands with your higher self so that you are again infinitely intuitive and a powerful self-healer.
Please ask your higher self,
What fear-based thought is holding me back in my life?
When you have your answer,
Ask your higher self,
Why is this thought coming up for me?
When you have your answer,
Ask your higher self,
Is it okay to release this thought so that it can no longer affect me?
See yourself writing this fear-based thought down on a piece of paper.
And when you're ready,
Walk to the fireplace and lovingly release this thought by throwing it into the fire,
Watching it burn,
Knowing the universe is taking care of this worry for you.
Return to the couch and again rejoin hands with your higher self.
Ask yourself,
What is the next best thing I can do on my journey?
When you hear your answer,
See yourself writing down what is the next best thing I can do on my journey and this time after you write it down,
You'll fold it into a small square and place the paper in your pocket.
Now turn to your higher self and take a few moments to thank your higher self for the wisdom and guidance.
You turn around and see the door is now open to your healing room and your cloud is waiting for you outside the door.
When you feel ready,
Hop back into your cloud and settle in as the cloud begins to take you down,
Down,
Through the skies,
Down,
Down,
Back to earth,
Back to your physical body.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Bring your awareness back to the room you're in,
Back to your physical body.
Bring your awareness back to your breathing as you introduce tiny movements to the body.
Maybe take a little stretch or move the head side to side and when you're ready gently open the eyes to a soft gaze.
Welcome back.
Remember anytime you feel stuck in a mode of overthinking,
You can come back to this meditation or simply ask your higher self why this thought keeps visiting you and if it's okay to release it to the universe so that it can no longer affect you.
You are a powerful self-healer and the light in me sees and honors the light in you.
