Hi there,
My name is David Atkinson and welcome to this gratitude,
Affirmation and meditation practice.
In today's practice we are going to build our positive emotions during the meditation,
So that when we move onto the affirmations we magnetise and memorise these words mind,
Body and soul.
Find yourself a comfortable position either sitting or laying down.
I want you to just momentarily tense your muscles and then relax again.
Do this a few times,
Maybe with different muscle groups.
This allows you to truly relax your body.
Each time you tense and then relax you go further into relaxation.
Now become aware of your breath.
Maybe it's shallow or deep,
Maybe it's slow or fast.
Just for a few breaths take your breathing slow and deep into the belly.
And each time you breathe out release any more tension and relax.
Now bring your awareness back to your breath and notice if anything has changed from before.
And whether your breathing is shallow or deep,
Let your next breath take you further into relaxation.
And as you relax more and more you can feel the relaxation spreading through your head.
The tension releases from your shoulders and your neck.
And in turn this allows your arms and your hands to go loose and limp.
Your chest,
Back and stomach releases any stress that is held in those muscles and in those bones and in those tendons and organs.
The hips relax as a warm energy runs down your legs.
And that warming,
Relaxing energy runs down into your feet.
Loosening and lengthening all those muscles.
And now you are in this fully relaxed state.
We will now build up some gratitude but only if you want to.
Do you want to?
And if you want to build up gratitude then listen to my words.
Focus on my words as though they are your words.
And as you hear my words let them reverberate around your body and mind.
And when you hear my words as your words you feel a joy and happiness build within your mind and within your body.
And now you can allow a gentle smile to appear on your face.
But maybe you are so relaxed that you aren't physically smiling.
But that sensation of smiling is building within.
And as that sensation of smiling builds you feel the serotonin levels start to build.
And the dopamine levels start to increase.
And this starts a gentle reaction flowing from the head all the way down to the tips of your fingers and the tips of your toes.
As these chemicals start to signal to the whole body that it is smiling.
Even on a cellular level your body is smiling.
That joy and happiness is filling and flowing throughout your body.
And with so much joy and happiness within it starts to shine outwards.
And this outward shining of happiness and joy is expressed in a beautiful white light.
And this white light is gently filling your aura.
Spreading from your beautiful body outwards.
And now that our body is fully relaxed and fully in joy and happiness.
We can turn our attention to our mind.
Our mind is calm.
Our mind is at peace.
Just letting any thoughts drift through.
As we witness this peaceful,
Calm,
Joyful and happy sense as an energy within our minds.
And if any thoughts come up we can easily let them drift on by.
Momentarily noticing without attaching.
Just like a cloud floating through.
And with our bodies and minds in this gentle and relaxed,
Happy,
Joyful state.
We can start to build gratitude for this state.
Letting a memory manifest in both our minds and our bodies.
We are thankful for our bodies.
The way our body works in such harmony.
With a joyful automation.
We are grateful for the way our mind can relax.
Thankful for finding happiness within the stillness.
Thankful we can allow thoughts to drift through with ease.
We are grateful for letting our bodies relax.
We are thankful for letting our minds relax.
We can find gratitude for our friends and families.
Let the excuses go,
Don't attach.
You can feel gratitude for your friends and your family.
Let the beautiful,
Happy,
Joyful energy build.
Thank you.

Wherever you live right now,
Be grateful.
It may not be your forever hope.
And that's okay.
Just be grateful for what you have right now.
Be thankful.
Be thankful for whatever nature is close to your home.

In a moment we are going to use an affirmations.
If you want to repeat them out aloud,
Feel free.
It will not disturb your meditation.
In fact,
As you speak those words out aloud,
You will find it will help deepen your meditation state.
And whether you repeat these words out aloud or in your head,
They will echo in your mind and your body.
Creating a beautiful memory in your mind and your body that is positively,
Emotionally charged.

We are now becoming aware of our physical bodies.
We can feel our legs and arms.
Moving our fingers and toes.
Moving our arms and legs.
As we come back into this space and time.
