When it's all too much, use this exercise to calm your emotions down when you feel on edge, exhausted, agitated, or are just ready to burst into tears! It will bring much-needed calmness to your mind, allowing you to act with Love rather than react from a place other than Love. My teacher, Donna Eden calls this a battery recharger.

When it's all too much,

You feel exhausted.

You may be ready to burst into tears or just say something to somebody that you really don't mean to say.

Before you do that,

Take a moment and do this technique with me.

It helps when you're on edge or when you feel emotional.

Sit down and plant your feet,

Take a deep breath in.

Let it out with a big sigh.

Another deep breath in.

Let it out.

One more.

Cross your right ankle over your left knee.

And with both of your hands,

Start to squeeze the sides of your right foot.

Starting at your big toe,

Work your way down all the way to the heel and then go back up from the heel to the big toe.

Do this a few times,

Squeezing,

Squeezing.

Big toe to heel and heel to big toe.

And now with a hand over hand sweeping motion,

Sweep from your big toe along the inner arch to your inner heel.

Sweeping big toe heel,

Big toe heel,

Hand over hand.

And now go from your inner ankle to your inner knee,

Keep sweeping hand over hand.

Ankle to knee,

Ankle to knee.

Now from your inner knee over the groin to the right outer hip,

Inner knee,

Groin,

Outer hip.

Inner knee,

Groin,

Outer hip.

Sweeping,

Sweeping,

Hand over hand.

From the outer right hip all the way up into the right armpit,

Sweeping up up.

Now let your left hand rest over top of the right lower rib and your right hand will just go below your collarbone.

And you'll tap these points together as you breathe in through the nose and sigh out through the mouth.

Breathe in through your nose,

Let it out through the mouth.

One more deep breath in and sigh,

Release that breath.

Plant your right foot on the floor and now cross the left ankle over the right knee.

Let's repeat this technique on the left side,

Squeezing.

With both hands squeeze the side of the left foot from big toe to heel,

Heel to big toe.

Squeezing,

Squeezing.

And now sweeping with that hand over hand motion from the big toe along the inner arch to the ankle.

Big toe to heel,

Big toe to heel.

And now from the inner ankle bone to the inner knee,

Sweep up the left leg,

The inner left leg,

Sweeping,

Sweeping.

And from the inner left leg go inner knee to groin to outer hip,

Inner knee,

Groin,

Outer hip,

Sweeping hand over hand,

Hand over hand.

Good now from your outer left hip all the way up into your left armpit,

Sweeping up,

Sweeping,

Sweeping,

Hand over hand.

And now right hand just rests on the left lower rib and your left hand is going to go below your left collarbone.

And you're going to tap these two points together as you take a deep breath in through your nose.

Breathe out through your mouth.

Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth.

One more big breath in,

Keep tapping.

And now let your breath out.

Good,

Rub your hands together,

Create some heat.

And now shake the hands off.

Place the left hand on your navel and the right hand over your energetic heart.

Take a deep breath.

Let it out.

One more.

Let it out.

Remember that you are love and light and even during tough times you can find that love and light.

You can recharge yourself.

You can reduce the emotional craziness that you feel.

So go now throughout your day with this love and light in your heart.

Namaste.
