This meditation helps you to go within the body to find where you store emotions related to the Shadows you push aside. Using breath and visualization, we call in our shadows so that we can learn to heal our relationships with them. Based on the shadow work I do, this meditation was recorded for a group session. It can be repeated many times as the shadows showing themselves each time change.

Transcript

This is a group healing process using shadow energetics.

Create a comfortable position where you won't be disturbed,

Where you can really tune into your body.

You can do this lying down or sitting up.

Just make sure you're as comfortable as possible.

Place a do not disturb sign on your door.

When you're ready,

Just bring your awareness inward.

Begin to really slow down the breath.

Just feel your body.

Go through some areas of the body.

And if you feel that the area that I name resonates with you,

Then perhaps this is where your shadow is showing up.

So just breathing,

Bringing your awareness to your heart,

Your energetic heart at the center of the chest.

Just feeling the inhalation and the exhalation and how this area of your body moves.

Do you find that your breath is getting stuck in your chest?

Then drop down to the navel,

The area,

The small intestines.

And just notice if you can breathe down into your lower navel area,

The lower abdomen,

Upper abdomen.

Bring your awareness to your right side rib cage and just notice if there's any tightness or tension on the right side.

Either right underneath your rib cage in the front or perhaps a little tightness or tension running up the right back side.

Bring your awareness to your lower back,

The kidney area.

Noticing if you have any tightness or tension in this area or maybe in the lower abdomen,

The bladder.

And now being aware of the lungs and how easy or difficult it is for you to actually breathe into the lungs.

How is your digestion today?

How is your stomach?

Did you eat good foods today?

Do you feel any tension,

Any knots in your stomach?

What about the left side rib cage?

How does that feel for you today?

Do you feel any tightness or tension there?

And then bringing your awareness to your thymus gland,

The area in the upper chest.

You notice any tightness in your breastbone,

Across the collarbones and into your shoulders.

I just want you to sit here with whatever area of your body brought up tension.

Where do you feel this tightness?

And then ask your body to show you the shadow that's hiding there.

What is the emotion?

Drop down into that space and find that emotion.

And then take a long deep breath in.

Let the breath out.

Allow that emotion to come to the surface and ask yourself if you're willing to integrate this disowned aspect of yourself.

Begin to take a few slow deep breaths,

Relaxing more and more with each exhalation.

And now take a long deep breath in and begin to hold the breath.

And when you slowly release your breath,

Notice where in your body your attention is being drawn and describe what you notice.

In your mind's eye,

Be aware of any sensation,

Any shape,

Any size,

The density or the color of this form.

And take another deep breath in.

Hold your breath.

And as you exhale,

Slowly release the breath into that form.

What is it like to be here in this shadow,

In this form that has shown itself to you?

In your mind's eye,

Describe any feelings,

Emotions or sensations that come up.

And now take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

Withdraw your mind from this form.

Know that this form perceives the shadow trait as being a problem and has pushed it away.

Take that form for how it has been attempting to help you and gently say out loud,

I am now choosing to break my agreement with you.

Take a deep breath in.

Hold the breath.

And as you exhale,

State out loud,

I call upon spirit to completely release this form now.

Focus on that area of the body again.

Focus on that form.

What does it look like and feel like now?

Take another deep breath in through your nose and bringing that awareness into your heart center.

Allow that loving energy to grow at your heart as you recall a loving memory.

And with each breath,

You're going to allow that loving memory to build heartfelt feelings in the center of your chest.

Breathing in,

Breathing in all of that love into your chest,

Connecting with that love and that joy and breathing out.

And now ask your hearts wisdom and guidance.

Ask what gifts your shadow trait has to offer you.

What's coming up for you in this moment?

What does your shadow come here to teach you?

Take a long deep breath in and begin to hold it.

And as you slowly exhale,

Allow your mind to bring forth a symbol or an image that best reflects you lovingly embracing your shadow.

We'll do that again.

A long deep breath in.

Hold your breath.

And then as you exhale,

Bring forth a symbol or an image that best reflects you lovingly embracing your shadow trait.

What image did you get?

And now ask that image if it has a message for you.

Does that image have a message?

Please share it.

Ask the image to share that message with you.

Now bring your awareness to the area in the body that you found the shadow trait.

And breathe this image,

This new image of you lovingly embracing your shadow.

Breathe into that site,

That area that once housed the shadow.

And now gently bring your awareness back to your body.

Placing one hand,

Your left hand over your heart and the right hand over that area where the shadow lives.

And say,

I am so sorry you felt separate.

Welcome home.

All is forgiven.

We are unified through love.

We are unified through love.

I now understand why you came.

I now see clearly through the loving light of my heart why you were here,

What you needed to show me,

What I needed to heal in myself in order to be a better loving person.

I love you.

I release you.

I heal from the very presence of you.

Thank you for showing up today.

Thank you for showing me what it is I needed to learn.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

All is forgiven.

We are unified through love.

All is forgiven.

Thank you.

Wrap yourself in a loving embrace.

Take a deep breath in through the nose.

Exhale out through the mouth.

Take another long deep breath in through the nose and exhale out through the mouth.

Bring loving energy into the body,

Into that place that once housed your shadow.

Feel the breath expanding.

Feel the light growing here.

Feel love.

Take this time now to either journal your process or just sit with the music,

Allowing the energy of love and light to flow through your body.

Letting a smile come to your face as you realize all the lessons you need to learn in order for you to be a loving human,

A beautiful soul that you are.
