Welcome my dear one,

Welcome to this weekly practice of Yoga Nidra.

This session is about creating space.

Let me tell you where that is coming from.

In our quest for love and happiness,

Or anything we wish into our lives,

We tend to look for it with all our heart and soul,

Chasing it.

Now let us stop looking and just create space.

Space for something that is already there to appear.

It is the cessation of sadness that lets us experience joy,

Just like it is the cessation of anger and fear that lets us experience love.

Also let us release and let go to make space.

Let go of doubt,

Aversion,

Attachment,

Judgement,

To create an open space for love,

Contentment and peace.

In the open space of your heart there is fertile soil for love to grow.

Let us get ready for the practice.

Find yourself a quiet spot where you are not going to be disturbed and lie yourself down.

On your back,

Cover yourself up.

Place a pillow under the head and neck.

Separate your legs and your arms away from your body so your body feels really open and free.

Release the whole body.

During the practice you remain motionless and still,

So make sure that you are absolutely comfortable that this pose is just right for you.

Make your last wiggles and turns.

Let us set an attention for the practice.

Let my words become yours.

I step back into the space of non-doing and no judgement.

I let go of all that I am holding.

I remain open and lovingly accepting towards all that is.

I take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in.

Hold your breath for a moment and then exhale with a deep sigh.

Let the whole body release.

Let go.

Let go of any holding.

Let's do that once more.

A long,

Slow,

Deep breath in.

Hold for a moment and exhale with a long,

Deep sigh.

Feel how your body settles in more and more.

Weighs down.

Let your body become limp.

Release all tension.

Let your legs drop.

Surrender the arms to gravity and let your head be heavy.

Then release the breath and just let it flow.

Gentle in and exhalations and feel the breath in your throat as it clears your throat.

A smooth,

Unforced breath moving in and out.

Nothing you need to do for it.

Just observe your body being breathed.

Feel your lungs filling,

Opening up the chest,

Expanding the ribs,

Front,

Side and back.

Gentle rise and fall of your chest.

Feel the breath moving to your abdomen.

The rise and fall of your abdomen creating space for all your organs.

Nice,

Soft,

Spacious belly.

Feel the flow of breath moving through the body.

Feel the breath flowing into the legs and the arms all the way to the soles of the feet and the tips of the fingers,

Top of the head.

Breath flowing in and out,

Moving through the body like waves washing over you.

Feel your breath clearing your head,

Emptying your head,

Washing it away.

Feel the head becoming lighter as you feel the whole body becoming lighter.

Empty hollow head,

Light in every body.

There might be thoughts,

But just let them float by in that open space of your head.

Let anything float by.

Any sounds,

Any thoughts,

Any sensations.

Breathe of air,

Touch on your skin.

Just let everything be just as it is.

You're just that open space where everything can float through.

Become aware of a sensation in your body of closeness,

Tightness.

Feel in the body any holding,

Maybe feeling cramped or constricted.

Feel those places in your body when you're feeling closed,

Tight,

Constricted.

And feel in your body this freedom and openness,

A very spacious feeling.

Feel the body expansive,

Boundless.

Where do you feel open and free in the body?

Then return to that feeling of closeness,

Feeling tight,

Constricted and cramped.

Then feel open and free,

Very spacious,

Expansive.

Then remember or imagine feeling restricted,

As if you were captive,

Feeling bound.

Maybe remember a situation that you felt very restrictive.

And then remember or imagine feeling very free,

Released,

Liberated.

Do you remember a situation or imagine that feeling of being completely free,

No limits,

Released,

Liberated?

Then return to that feeling of feeling restricted,

Captive and bound.

Return to that feeling free,

Released and liberated.

And notice your breath as it moves in and out of the body.

Notice the free breath moving in and out.

The flowing breath,

The body breathing up and down.

Feel the movement of your breath moving from your tailbone to the crown of the head on an inhalation and back from the crown to the tailbone on the exhale.

Up and down.

And feel the breath moving all the way from the feet to the crown of the head and back down,

Crown to the feet.

Moving up and down.

Flow of breath,

Up and down.

And as you watch the breath,

Become aware of your energy body and the energy radiating outside your physical body.

Feel completely safe and secure.

As the breath moves out,

Feel yourself expanding out.

Feel yourself becoming lighter and lighter until you begin to float in the air.

Give yourself the freedom to float out of your physical body.

Release them freed from identification with your body and mind,

Time and space.

No past,

No future.

Observe your body resting in complete peace and stillness.

Observe the open space you are resting in,

The open space of pure awareness.

Now settle back into the physical body and allow your beautiful body to welcome you home.

Sense these feelings of deep gratitude flowing through you.

Let the feeling of being loved wrap itself around you.

Feel this love in your heart like an eternal burning flame.

No matter how many others you light with that flame,

It will never fade.

Remain empty and free from all doing.

Rest in this open space of awareness.

And in this open space,

Leave room for anything to arise.

Be without anticipation or expectation,

Completely free and open for anything or nothing to arise.

Be open to any form.

Every words or sounds,

It may be shapes or colors.

Welcome it with curiosity and acceptance.

Give this open space for your inner wisdom to unfold,

For any guidance to appear.

Resting in the vast space of complete contentment and peace.

Notice your breath,

The gentle rise and fall of the breath.

And slowly let yourself rise to the awareness,

Becoming aware of your body and space around you,

Coming back very gently,

Very gently and slowly.

Take a breath and move your body in any way that feels right for you at this moment.

Maybe it's the slightest movement,

The fingers or toes.

Maybe you want to curl with your knees to your chest or take a big stretch.

Allow yourself this time and space to gently come back,

Gently come back.

And leave space for yourself to ponder upon the experience and take with you what you wish to take with you in your daily life.

Audio is very soft. Facilitation is gentle and steady. I appreciate this approach to yoga nidra - slightly different from others and feels more specific.
