Welcome.
This is Padma Gordon and this is called Living from the Heart.
So today I wanted to talk to you about coming home.
Coming home to your own heart.
Coming home to the heart is no small thing.
It means that we need to feel,
To turn toward,
To face the things that perhaps we have not wanted to.
So in this meditation I will guide you in to your own heart.
I will invite you to open the doors,
To soften,
To take refuge in the sweetness of your own heart.
So let us meditate together.
Close your eyes.
Close your eyes.
Let the lids rest.
Let them rest.
And take some generous breaths.
Breath creates space.
Breath creates space.
And right now you are making space to rejoice in your own beautiful heart.
Every breath takes you inside.
And I know that it can be challenging to turn toward the heart.
Because when you turn toward your own heart,
You turn toward everything.
Everything that is between you.
And rejoicing as your heart tenderly cracks open.
And this means being willing to feel the things that you have been avoiding.
And we all avoid pain and move toward pleasure.
So let's dive together into the heart.
You might want to rest a hand on your heart.
One of your warm loving hands.
And just feel what happens as you place a hand on your heart if it feels right for you.
What happens when your heart recognizes that you are here.
You are here and you are present.
Offering your own kind,
Warm,
Compassionate presence is a gift.
It invites your heart to soften.
And in my experience,
I have been saying,
The heart cannot be rushed.
So the warmth of your own presence invites these frozen parts to begin to melt.
And if tears come,
They are welcome.
If laughter comes,
It is welcome.
You might feel all kinds of sensations as your heart begins to soften.
And perhaps there is something that you want to say to your heart.
You might whisper it or just say it internally.
Do what feels right and good to you.
You are tending to your own heart,
Sweet friend.
And your heart is the gateway to the mystical realms of untold love,
Generosity,
Compassion and true freedom.
So I will hold the space as you tend to your own beautiful heart and everything that your heart has been holding.
And please,
Take your time.
There is no rush.
You cannot rush the blossoming of your heart.
So let us sit together for a little while as you hold your heart gently breathing as it begins in its own way,
In its own time,
To open.
How deep am I?
That's right.
Tending to your heart is a process.
And each time you return to your heart,
The pathways widen and deepen.
And you will fall ever more deeply in love with your own heart.
In love with your own heart.
So please return to this practice as often as you would like.
I will be here to hold the space.
And you can trust.
You can trust your own heart.
Trust.
Trust it deeply.
For it is the gateway home.
Many blessings.
