Namaste everybody.
Welcome to In The Flow with Lori Albert.
How is everyone today?
Yeah.
So one of my favorite sayings,
Quotes,
I don't know what you want to call it,
From Ram Dass is that we are all just walking each other home.
We're all humans.
We are all humans and we are just walking each other home.
Doesn't that kind of mean that we should be there for each other?
That we should just be there for each other.
Right?
So the reason I brought this up is because there's something that I have been saying for years and I don't know if anybody actually,
Like,
You know,
Spiritual whatever said this,
But I say this all the time and I don't know where I got it from.
So nothing is right,
Nothing is wrong,
It just is.
Right?
Crazy.
Like if you think about what that means,
Nothing is right,
Nothing is wrong,
It just is.
It just is in the present moment.
Yeah.
It's kind of deep.
But here's the thing,
It's like we are all humans and we're just trying to roll through this human experience together.
We're just trying to understand each other and just be.
So when I say that nothing is right,
Nothing is wrong,
It all just is,
That makes me think that we can all be together,
Just together.
You know?
I mean it sort of gives me hope.
Let me just put it that way I guess.
Right?
It gives me hope.
Because we're having this experience on Earth together.
What a crazy thought.
You know?
Imagine that.
All of us doing stuff together.
Imagine that.
You know?
All the different races,
All the different ethnicities,
All the different political parties,
All the different genders,
Everything.
We're all in this together.
We are.
Because we are all human.
I was so sort of struck by that this weekend.
You know?
With everything going on,
And okay I'm just going to say this.
I always say this.
I try not to be political.
But here's the thing.
When the President went into the hospital,
Everything kind of like stopped.
And people became,
We wish you well.
We wish you well.
You know?
And it became just a few moments of we're all one and we're all pulling for you.
Shouldn't we all do that with each other?
I mean if we can be nothing else in this world,
Maybe we should just be kind and realize that no one,
And that's what this actual virus has taught me.
Right?
That's what this virus has taught me.
Right?
Is that we're all humans because here we are.
This virus doesn't distinguish between anything.
It doesn't distinguish between people of color,
Political parties,
Ethnicity,
Nothing.
Because we are all human.
And we're all just trying to walk each other home.
And that's why I love doing this.
This thing.
Every single day.
That's why I love doing this.
Because we are walking each other home.
No one is better than anybody else.
No one is more transformed than anyone else.
We're just here together.
That is just so beautiful to me.
That makes me feel so grateful to be alive.
Makes me feel so grateful to just be part of the human race.
I know that sounds so like,
Oh la la la la.
But it's true.
If we can just look around at everybody around us with a look of love,
Peace,
Joy,
If we can just look at everybody around us,
Wouldn't this world be a better place?
So.
So that's what I'm going to say about that.
Okay,
So we are going to meditate on this today,
Of course.
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
Because as David G says,
Comfort is queen.
I love when he says that because it's so true.
If you're comfortable and you start to meditate,
You will probably do it again.
That's part of creating the practice,
Which I love.
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
Let's get ourselves comfy and close your eyes whenever you're ready to.
So we start to meditate.
We start this day out with,
In a space of gratitude.
I am so grateful for each and every person that watches this,
Listens to this,
Whatever it is.
So grateful.
What are you grateful for today?
What is the highest thing on your list that you are grateful for?
What makes you feel so much love?
What brings that joy to your heart?
So yesterday I was busy doing all kinds of stuff,
Right?
All these different things.
And I realized that I got to spend the day with my family.
I'm so grateful for that time.
It was the time that I was grateful for.
I'm grateful for the family,
Of course.
But I was so grateful for our time together.
Perfect.
So let's take a deep breath in through our nose,
Filling up our lungs and our body with beautiful oxygen and release it.
Very good.
So today's mantra.
Today's mantra is one I've used before and it is so hum.
And that is the Sanskrit for I am that.
And what that means is it means several things actually to a lot of different people.
I recognize that I am part of the universe.
I recognize that I am part of the universe.
I am the that.
That which is everything.
That which is the universe,
Joy,
Love.
So hum.
I identify with the universe.
So hum.
So today I'd like for us as we're meditating,
Place your palms on your lap with your palms facing up because we want to receive all that beautiful,
Nourishing energy.
Your palms facing up,
Keeping your eyes closed,
Sitting very comfortably with our mantra.
So hum.
If you get lost in the mantra,
That's absolutely fine.
Just come back to your breathing.
Following your breath.
And I will keep the time.
Let's begin.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
We can start releasing the mantra,
Bringing our awareness to the room,
The chair we're sitting in.
Let's take a deep breath in and release.
And you can open your eyes when you feel comfortable.
So as we go throughout the day,
Let's keep with us so hum,
Knowing that we are all part of this universe.
We are all part of this universe and we are all just walking each other home.
As the beautiful Ram Dass like to say.
So thank you for joining everybody.
I just love you all so much.
Appreciate each and every one of you.
And until next time,
Namaste everybody.
