This is the meditation to bring you into the stillness.

Nothing you have to create or do to make the stillness.

The stillness exists deep within you,

Taking a comfortable seated position or lying down.

No matter what's going on in the mind right now,

Whether it's agitated,

Judging,

Restless,

We're going to go deeper.

Think of your mind like the waves in the ocean tossing and turning and you're diving deep,

Deep into the beautiful blue silent space of the ocean,

The deep ocean within you.

Begin by focusing on your body,

Taking your attention deep down to the feet and the legs.

Notice the sensation around your hips,

What you're sitting on.

Allow the weight of your body to drop in to that support.

Taking notice of your back and let it soften,

Let all the muscles begin to soften around the middle back,

Upper back,

Lower back,

Sensing the spine releasing.

Become aware of your shoulders,

Letting the shoulders soften and relax in the arms,

In the hands,

Each of the fingers,

Thumbs.

Feel an openness in the palms of the head,

An openness to receiving,

An openness to offering.

Sense around your head,

Especially around your jaw,

Your ears,

Releasing the tension,

Softening the facial muscles,

Relaxing the back of the tongue.

Notice the breath flowing in through the nostrils.

Begin to expand the breath that you breathe in all the way down to the pelvis,

Right to the bottom of the spine.

When you breathe out,

Let it rise up like a lightness all the way out through the top of the head.

As you expand your inhalation,

Feeling it go down into the pelvis connecting to earth.

When you breathe out,

Lightness rising up to the infinite space of the sky.

Feel your connection to earth,

To sky.

Perhaps you have a question or an intention.

Allow it to now just be offered,

Offered to this deep space within you,

Offered to that connection to universal consciousness.

Don't look for the answers.

Don't worry if they don't come right now.

Just allow yourself this beautiful moment of stillness,

Deep rest,

And knowing that you're creating the space that's necessary for the answers to come,

The solutions to arise,

For the creative ideas to bubble up.

You might receive colors,

Shapes.

You might have ideas.

You might have nothing at all.

And all of that is fine.

Enjoying,

Enjoying the silent stillness that's within you.

Continue conscious connection to your breath.

This is the place of your physical body,

Watching,

Observing,

And witnessing any thoughts that arise.

Letting them flow through without attachment,

Without aversion.

Perhaps you feel your awareness is expanded now and you hear some sounds around you in your environment,

Allowing the sounds to come to you.

And noticing the silent background from which the sounds arise.

And sensing that deepest part of your being,

That you are part of this silent background.

It can remain as long as you like.

And stillness go deeper in joy.

Inv believes it.
