So hi everyone,
My name is Nikki and I will be guiding you through an energy meditation that will go through the chakras for the next 15 minutes or so.
So begin by settling into a comfortable position that allows you to have a long spine.
This can be sitting tall,
Lying down straight.
Feel free to grab any props that allow you to feel more supported.
Maybe a pillow behind your back or even a blanket to wrap around you.
When you're ready you can close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Starting now just by noticing how your body meets the surface below you today.
And the state of your energy.
Did any parts of the day that came before this come with you to your seat?
Notice where you may feel some heaviness or tension without judgment.
Almost as if you're letting these parts collect.
Imagine now that there's a vacuum towards the bottom of your feet clearing out what was gathered.
You may even be feeling a bit lighter now.
And bringing our focus now to the breath,
I invite you to exhale a breath or two longer than your inhale.
This can be at however many counts are comfortable for you.
I like to start with an inhale for four counts and an exhale for five.
Just doing a couple rounds.
Dropping the count now and just returning to your natural pace of breathing.
We're going to do a body scan that focuses on the different energy points in our bodies called the chakras.
Each chakra is associated with a different meaning and connection to your body and your life.
So when a chakra is open it's aligned and has flow.
When it's blocked it may feel as if it's working a bit sluggish.
So as I guide you through each chakra I may ask you to breathe into this area.
Simply imagine sending your breath to that space.
No extra effort is needed other than just breathing and visualizing.
So let's start with the root.
Imagine a small red wheel at the base of your spine.
The root chakra connects us to the feeling of being grounded.
Breathe into this space as if each breath allows this wheel to move freely almost like a pinwheel in a breeze.
And with each inhale breathe in confidence and with each exhale breathe out as if you have roots planting you deeper into the earth below you.
Spending a few more breaths here to really ground into the beginning of our practice.
Getting ready now to move up towards your lower abdomen about two inches below your belly button.
Imagine an orange wheel here.
This is your sacral chakra which can connect us to our emotions pleasure and our overall well-being.
Breathe into this space as if each breath gives a bit more life force to this area.
You may even think to yourself where can I honor what brings me joy?
Each breath allowing the wheel to spin with a little more ease than the last.
Shifting your breath up towards your solar plexus now which is located in your upper stomach.
Imagining a yellow wheel here.
The chakra relates to your self-worth and your confidence.
So when breathing into this space you may breathe in deservingness and breathe out doubt.
Breathing now in the area of your heart chakra located in the center of your chest.
Sometimes when this chakra is blocked you might even feel a tightness in your chest.
Imagine a green wheel here and ask how can I show myself unconditional love?
You might even place your hand over your heart.
And with each breath allowing the wheel to move more freely.
Allowing your breath now to make its way towards the area of your throat chakra.
Imagining a light blue wheel here.
Sometimes I like to lightly place my hands over my throat when this feels tight.
The chakra is connected to speaking your truth and communicating your personal power to the world.
Sending your breath to your throat might ask yourself where in my life can I invite myself to speak my truth?
You may even help to swallow and feel that space freeing up breath by breath.
You may even help to swallow and feel that space freeing up breath by breath.
Shifting now towards your third eye chakra located in the middle of your forehead between your eyes.
The chakra controls your intuition and imagination.
Almost like a portal connecting you into a deeper knowing.
Breathing more air and light into this dark blue purple wheel and even thinking this part of you for guiding you here today.
And lastly extending your breath to the very top of your head right above it at the crown chakra.
An open crown chakra connects you to divine consciousness making you a vessel.
Breathing into a violet wheel here.
Maybe even asking yourself what would my life look like if I knew I was supported?
You may have wanted to spend a little more time at one of the chakras than we did so feel free to spend a few more breaths with one area that may still need a little bit of tending to right now or you can simply notice the natural pace of your breath.
Your breath is a powerful tool much like these energy centers that can bring life force into different areas of your life and your body at any point in the day.
So please come back to this practice as much as needed or spend time with a specific space in your body if you feel resistance in a certain chakra during the day.
We're gonna prepare to awaken for the room so when you're ready you can start wiggling your body maybe starting with your toes you could be knocking your knees side to side wiggling your fingers moving your head from left to right and when you're ready you can open your eyes.
Thank you.
