This is a guided meditation on the Mooladhara Chakra.
If you are driving or in a situation where you are unable to close your eyes or go within,
Please skip this section and listen at a time when stillness is an option.
This is a guided meditation on the Mooladhara Chakra.
Allow the body and mind to become quiet.
Feel yourself softening into a deep stillness and peace.
Allow the eyes to close.
Take in a few deep breaths and let them out very slowly.
Begin to venture to the base of the spine,
To the Mooladhara Chakra.
There you will find awaiting your awareness a whirling vortex of energy vibrating and radiating a brilliant red.
This color vibration generates outward as the Mooladhara Chakra.
From the base of the spine,
Feel energy moving downward,
Rooting directly into the earth.
Notice how this energy connects to us,
To the force of Mother Earth,
To our basic survival.
From her body and elements,
Our bodies are created.
The energy entwines and draws us to her as gravity,
Drawing energy from her to sustain life.
She blesses us through the food we eat,
Protects us through the clothing we wear and the shelter that safeguards.
We thrive on planet Earth.
Observe the breath as it flows in and out with ease.
Feel the energy coursing down from the center of your body and down both legs as they sprout branches from the bottom of the feet,
Transmitting energy to and attracting energy from Gaia.
The assurance of survival.
Feel a slight movement,
Even a tingling,
Taking place at the base of the spine.
From this center of survival,
The sense of smell develops,
Coordinating directly with the organ of sense,
The nose.
This direct connection links to our memory.
Begin to imagine a pleasant smell,
Perhaps from your childhood,
That kindles up a memory activating all the cells of the body,
Igniting pleasant feelings and sensations.
A smile lights the face.
If you are unable to recall the smell exactly,
Just imagine the smell and it will kindle the memory.
Give now the childhood memory and allow the mind to meander to an adult memory.
Was there a time that you received flowers and the feeling of being loved was deeply ensconced in your memory by the fragrant aroma?
Become aware of the entire body as a memory bank,
Tingling with that precious feeling.
The mind becomes flooded with red,
The color of love and our life's blood.
Take a moment to allow that experience to infuse your entire being.
Now invoke the scent that allows you to recall a fearful event.
Notice how that feels in your body.
Is it the same soothing feeling as the experience of being loved and nurtured?
Observe the unpleasant feeling.
Once again,
Invite the pleasant feeling back to the forefront of your memory.
Allow the unpleasant invocation of fear to fade into the background and return to the sense of hope.
You have found the gift of being able to switch to the pleasant when the unpleasant enters into your world.
Gently bring the awareness back to the base of the spine.
Honor the Muladhara Chakra for being the connection to the earth that sustains us.
Make a silent affirmation to nurture the Muladhara Chakra and the qualities it holds.
It is honored when we care for our basic needs and for our Mother Earth.
Namaste.
When I am in the place of love and oneness,
I am one with Mother Earth.
Namaste.
