This meditation will increase your chi,
Your prana,
Your life force energy and start to reset your mind,
Which creates limits.
As many wise souls have said,
Everything we want is on the other side of comfort.
And so we will be releasing today and resetting conscious and unconscious aspects of our emotional being that create a drag on our energy and mind.
I will guide you to see past your edges,
So I invite us to this pranayama breathing,
This active three part breathing exercise to increase the oxygen in your mind and body to help you perform and flow,
To reduce the inflammation in our body due to acid buildup,
Which happens so naturally when we are stressed,
Eat bad food or perform at high levels.
These teachings use Hof method and other pranayama techniques to allow us to release,
Center and then find our inner calm.
Pranayama means vital life force energy,
Yama,
Two meanings,
Control and ayama,
Liberation.
This is liberation of you to your unlimited nature.
This is an active and powerful breathing practice.
You may experience a shifting of your energy vibration in your body.
You may feel uncomfortable,
Know that this is all normal and will help release the stagnant energy,
The life force or trapped trauma that is within you.
You may want to cry,
Let it flow for when you cry,
Know your own tears are healing and cleansing.
Let them take you deeper into your unlimited nature.
So I invite you now,
If you're safe to do so,
To sit or preferably lying flat on a comfortable surface,
Your eyes covered and maybe a cushion under your knees.
So getting ready now and whatever position you find yourself in now,
Take one final shuffle and make yourself 5%,
Maybe 10% more comfortable.
Relax your shoulder blades down your spine,
But maybe taking your arms above your head just for a moment,
One arm up and one arm down and landing your shoulder blades back into their socket.
Feel the surface under you.
You are so held,
The ground supports you as I build this container for you and if you haven't already done so,
Soften your gaze or close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in now and out with an audible sigh.
Doing that one more time,
So holding at the top and let it out,
Maybe with horsey lips,
Signalling to our nervous system that we don't need to take ourselves so seriously because flow happens when we're relaxed and telling your nervous system that we're perfectly safe and ready to go within.
So breathing in now into your belly for four,
Three,
Up to our chest,
Our side chest,
Our back chest and then hold.
And when you're ready,
Out with an extended breath for six,
Five,
Relaxing your head,
Your shoulders,
Dropping the tongue to the bottom of your mouth and sensing,
Feeling how relaxed you feel,
Down to your belly,
Your pelvis as you let go,
Letting go,
Letting go,
Letting go,
Letting go.
I invite you now to place two fingers of the palm of your hand to the centre of your chest and notice by this very act of placing your hand on your heart centre,
You call in now all the pieces of you that have been scattered,
All the energy that you've left,
On your to-do list,
On whatever,
Call it all in now and say thank you.
We know your attention goes where your energy flows,
So every time you find your attention just going wherever,
Just call it in and say thank you and then return back to my voice.
It's just how your brain works and it's all good,
But here our attention will be focused on my voice,
On this here and now.
So as we bring ourselves to this ever present now,
Take another deep breath in as if you're breathing in through a straw,
From the top of your head right down to your throat,
Your heart,
Your belly,
Holding at the bottom and then breathing out again back up through the straw.
We transition now into our pranayama breathing and just letting your breath be its natural rhythm.
I shall guide you in a moment to this three-part breath,
But just let your breathing relax and when you're ready,
Place one,
Your left hand on your heart and your right on your belly and I'll explain what we need to do and then invite you to join me,
But just listen to your own body and intuition through this practice.
There are three parts,
Two breaths in and one out,
All through your mouth.
If you struggle,
Start with breathing through your nose.
We aim to increase the oxygen,
Reduce the acid buildup and any stuckness,
So getting ourselves ready,
Licking our lips just to moisten them.
I will guide you and let your subconscious just hear my words as you breathe gently in and out.
Now in a moment,
We will actively breathe deeply through the mouth,
Two breaths in through the mouth,
Into the belly and then into the chest and then out through the mouth.
So the first breath into the belly,
Second into the top chest or high heart and out the mouth.
We're keeping the rhythm fluid and circular,
So join me now,
Choose your own pace,
But as we keep that breath fluid and circular,
It's a graceful flow.
Can you imagine a wave lapping onto the beach or the wings of an eagle,
Gracefully flowing in flight?
We'll do this for 30 times and then we'll hold for 10 to 15 seconds at the top.
We'll release fully and on the out breath,
We'll hold that for 10 to 15 seconds and we're doing that for three rounds.
So when you're ready now,
Lick your lips and join me.
This may feel hard at first.
Just like running,
We'll reach a hump when the endorphins kick in,
But remember you may feel slightly light-hearted if you're not used to deep breathing,
But we're bringing oxygen to your blood supply and then your body will relax.
Well done,
10 more,
Well done,
Two more and holding at the top,
Hold all of that breath in,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
And let it all out and then hold,
Deep breath in again and hold and out fully and hold and breathe in.
One last time,
Let your breath go back to normal as we go into round two.
Now see if you can get your breath 10% deeper and with every breath in,
Pulling like a straw,
Sucking out all of the stagnant energy from the toes to your feet,
Your knees,
Your pelvis,
Really letting it out.
Maybe saying internally now or out loud,
I am safe to release,
I am enough,
I am light,
I am flow.
So nearly there,
Come on,
Well done.
Last one,
Holding at the top and let it out and holding at the bottom and in again,
Hold and out and again,
Hold in and let it go.
Last round,
We're doing so well,
We're releasing everything that's blocking us,
Breathing in 10% more now,
All that stuckness.
This is your healing,
This is your power,
This is your flow.
Having the courage to keep going,
Pass our edge,
Doing so well.
Maybe you're getting hot,
That's all good,
That's your energy dissipating to a higher level,
A higher mind.

Let it go and hold it at the bottom,

Just let your breath return back to its natural rhythm,

Feel or know the flow of energy now that you have cultivated,
The heightened energy and flow,
For it is already here and so it is and it is so.
