We do have control over how we feel and this is what it's all about, the process of meditation that is. We learn a way to take ourselves up emotionally through learning how to shift our focus onto something very simple, our breath and as we learn how to stabilize emotionally, and be sensitive enough to keep that stability, we become deliberate about the way we feel. Why would I want to do that? The question really is, do I want to be happy? And I assume the answer is logical and is a yes.
