So welcome to part two of preparing for 2022.
Whether you're watching this live now or you're listening to this as a recording,
And it's not the beginning of a new year and it's just a new time in your life,
All of the information and content is completely relevant no matter what time of year it is,
But we are talking in the context of preparing for 2022.

Everybody.
Hi,
Karen.
Thank you all for the congratulations on one year on Insight Channel.
Not quite there yet,
Probably was the end of January.
So I'll,
I don't know,
We'll see what happens in January if I do some sort of celebration for that.
But last on part one of the series,
We talked about really diving into who you want to be.
And we talked about goal setting.
And we actually talked a lot about flipping goal setting on its head.
So if you were here for that,
Or you listened to it,
You know that someone had asked the question of,
So how am I supposed to set goals?
And this is like,
Completely contradictory to how I've been told to set goals before.
And that's because we're doing it differently.
And my question to that person was,
How has the traditional way of setting goals worked for you in the past?
And the answer was no.
So why would we keep doing the same thing over and over again?
So yes,
Preparing for 2022.
We're going to look at it in a completely different way than you probably have ever heard of in the past when it comes to kind of traditional goal setting.
And we're not really talking about goal setting.
But that's what people look to.
We're talking about new beginnings and new chapters in life.
So here's where we end it last week,
Or the last session,
When these three questions where I said,
Dive in and really sit down and think about these questions for yourself.
Who do you want to be in 2022?
Where do you want to be?
And what do you want to be doing?
And really sitting.
So if you took those questions,
And you really thought about it,

So if you're willing to be open and sharing what came up for you,
I'd love to just kind of recap what showed up for you.
And maybe we could dive into a conversation from there of like,
This is great.
I got this or I have some more questions,
And I'm not really sure where to go.
Or I'm not really,
I wasn't really sure how to answer the question,
Which is totally fine.
Because the one topic that's really diving in for me today is really where I want to talk about action.
Because we set goals,
And we want these resolutions,
And we want to create new things for the beginning of the new year or beginning chapter of our lives.
Because a lot of what people responded with on Friday was,
I'm starting this new chapter,
This thing happened in my life,
And now I'm starting over,
Or I'm making a shift and a new chapter.
So whether again,
It's beginning of a new year,
Or you're just starting a new chapter in your life,
All of this stuff is completely relevant.
So here's what's going on in the comments.

So I wanted them to work separately and also to cohesively work together.
So Kathleen says I journaled about the questions and I got several answers for each one.
That's amazing.
Because we have several parts of our lives.
We have different parts of our lives.
We have this family section,
We have a work section.
We have a personal,
We have this and we have this.
We have finances,
We have all of these sections in our lives.
So we're going to have separate answers that are kind of going to correlate to those different parts of our lives.
We are not linear human beings.
We have ups and downs.
We are circular.
We are cyclical human beings.
So to think that there's only one way or one thing that we're going to want,
We're not really looking at the whole picture.
So that's awesome that you got those several questions.
How did that make you feel getting all of those answers?
So Katrina says in 2022,
I want to be an inspired,
Energetic and centered self who is able to positively share my energy with others to help them be their most authentic centered selves.
That is amazing and beautiful.
And if we,
I love what you did there Katrina,
Because I think this goes back to our conversation before of flipping goal,
Quote unquote goal setting on its head where I want to have this job.
I want to have this much money.
I want to lose weight.
I want to be fit.
I want to be healthy.
It's who do you want to be?
And really focusing on that.
Who do I want to be?
Where do I want to be?
And what do I want to be doing?
But really talking about it in a very general sense,
Because we have to be open and flexible to all of the opportunities that present themselves to us and what we might set as a goal as we experience and go on that journey towards that goal.
That goal is likely going to change and shift because of the experiences we're having.
So how you put that and really embrace that around the being is really beautiful.
I want to be super connected,
Present and a responsive parent and partner.
Beautiful.
And there are so many different ways to do that.
Okay.
So I'm going to erase this.
I actually kept this up from before.
So again,
Those questions,
If you're just listening to this session is who do I want to be in 2022?
Where do I want to be?
What do I want to be doing?
And realizing that as you answer and journal and think about these questions,
They're likely going to change as you go through the process and as you start taking action,
Which is really what we want to dive into today.
I really want to talk about taking action,
But not just action for action's sake.
I really want to dive into taking aligned and inspired action.
And we probably don't know what that action is right now.
And that that's kind of where I want to step into here with part two.
All right.
So as I'm erasing the board,
I will come back up to the comments and then we'll,
I'm actually going to write that on the board.

And we're not going to rush through these conversations.
These are really beautiful conversations that we can have.
And again,
This isn't a one-time conversation.
You can have this conversation 10 times throughout the year.
You can have it every single week.
You can have it every single month.
I technically say that I look at this stuff every month when I set my monthly manifestations and it's,
You know,
What do I want?
How do I think,
How do I want to try to get there this month?
And then at the end of the month,
I go back and reflect on those.
What did I do?
Well,
What did I learn from the experience and what can I change and shift moving forward?
Maya says in 2022,
I want to slow down and enjoy the present moment.
Great.
Oh,
Kathleen,
Responding to having all those things.
It made me feel focused and a little overwhelmed.
Okay.
I kind of expected that.
That's why I asked that question.
Cause a lot of times when we have a lot of things in front of us,
We can get really overwhelmed because we're like,
Oh God,
Where do I start?
So we look at it and then we actually never start anything because we're so unbelievably overwhelmed and we're like,
I don't even know where to start.
So I want to talk about that today.
Maya wants to slow down and enjoy the present moment.
Kathleen says there was a running theme of being present and balanced.
Yes.
Please.
I have the same goals as well.
Awesome.
I love this.
Okay.
You guys are amazing.
Keep,
Keep being active in the chat.
Even if I don't see something,
What I love to see in the chat and I see it usually I pay attention to it,
But if you guys work with each other and you guys support each other,
So it's not me teaching to all of you.
You are also all co-creating with each other,
Making connections,
Providing resources,
All of that stuff.
So it's really beautiful.

I want to be my healthiest ever.
My health goes up and down just like weight.
I lost my consistency since early 2020.
If an emotions tend to dictate my health,
But I need to work out to feel good.
I tend to eat instead because it's easier.
Yes.
Okay.
Beautiful.
So much clarity and it's okay.
Here's what I want to say first.
It's okay to not know how you're going to get there.
And I'm going to write that on the board because gosh,
I love writing on the board.
And I just think it,
It,
It solidifies what I say that it's okay to not know how to not know how you'll get there.
So I say that because of that overwhelm.
I think that was Kathleen who said,
It made me help me get focused,
But also felt overwhelmed.
So you have all of these things,
You,
You know,
Maybe who you want to be or what you're striving for.
And you might say,
I want to be my healthiest ever,
But I don't know how I'm going to do that.
Uh,
What in my,
Uh,
Maya said,
I want to slow down and enjoy the present moment,
But I don't know how I'm going to do that.
That's okay.
2022.
I will slow down though,
Concentrate on one job at a time at work.
Personally,
I am Dr.
Glack being more creative and focused.
I love dumping lack Patty.
That's cute.
It's so hard.
Okay.
Perfect.
So there's a lot of running teams of you guys are responding and saying me too.
Yeah.

That's awesome.
That's why I say post in the comments because people are going to go into share and then I know,
Okay,
There's a lot of people that want to hear this.
We're going to dive into this topic and then to be able to bring more value to you.
Well,
As it says,
I want to be the best person for myself.
It's time to put myself first.
I'm a single mom.

I want to be more open and meet more people.
These are beautiful.
When you guys think about those goals and you think about the how,
So we're going to go from,
This is what I want.
When you think about what you want and what you're desiring,
How does that feel to you?
So in my mind,
I'm thinking you can feel,
You can feel multitude of ways,
But are you feeling,
Oh my God,
This is so exciting.
I can't wait to have this amazing year.
I'm going to be the healthiest ever.
I'm going to slow down.
I'm going to be more present.
This is going to be really exciting.
Or are you on the other end of that stick and saying,
Oh my God,
This is so daunting.
This is so overwhelming.
I don't know how I'm going to do this.
I don't know where I'm going to be or what I'm going to do.
And I'm going to be the healthiest ever.
This,
This means I have to do,
I have to work out every day and I have to eat healthy and I can eat crap.
And well,
Which side are you on the excited side or are you on the overwhelmed side or whatever emotion that's coming up for you?
This is my 2021 goal not reached yet.
That's okay.
We are always striving for more.
And if this is why every month I set three manifestations and then at the end of the month,
I go back and I relook at them.
What did I learn?
What did I do?
Well,
What can I do differently next time?
Because it's not about the disappointment of,
Oh,
I didn't actually reach my goal.
I didn't manifest into my reality,
The thing that I wanted,
But I'm just going to continue to learn.
So this is something that's carried over from 2021 and 2020 and year from year over year over year over year.
Give yourself some grace and allow yourself to go,
That's awesome.
What did I do in 2021 that worked well?
What didn't I do?
And what can I now try to incorporate into 2022?
I focused a lot more on the present,
But I forgot to include myself and it made me feel unworthy to others.
I'm going to include myself more and take some time to give myself care and let Bianca.
That's beautiful that Bianca or Blanca,
I apologize.
That's an L Blanca.
Because you tried something and you're like,
I did this and that was great.
And I learned a lot,
But I also,
I missed myself.
So now I'm going to take everything that I learned in being more present.
And I'm going to translate that over to myself.
So that's what a growing human being is.
We do something,
We try it,
We improve,
We learn from it.
And then we do better.
I'm on the excited side side,
But still want to create a tangible plan to move forward.
Yes.
More excited,
But a bit unsure of the actual end goal.
I find that focusing on one word for each goal helps.
Like if you want to eat healthier,
I just think of the word health or socialized and just want to think social.
Perfect.
So number one,
Yes,
We want to know how we're going to get there because we're human beings and we want to have control.
We can't always have control,
But it's okay to not know every single step along the way.
That's totally okay.
So it's okay to not know how you're going to get there.
Let's talk about,
We're going to take this another step.
And we're going to talk about,
We're going to talk about how to figure out those steps.
So I know who I want to be.
I know what I want.
I have a,
Whether it's a really clear vision or a really blurry vision.
So I think it was Katrina who said,
I'm not really sure of the actual end goal.
That's okay too.
Cause your end goal,
Like I said,
Is going to change.
So let's focus on if you know what you want,
Like you kind of know a little bit and you're like,
I know how I want to feel.
I don't know what that's going to look like.
I don't know what that's going to mean for me or my family or what that actually is going to end up looking like.
So let's talk about figuring out the action.
What are the actions I need to take?
Cause manifestation and getting what you want in life is so much more than sitting and visualizing what you want.
You've got to take action,
But you don't want to take action from a place of lack.
You want to take aligned action,
Truly,
Absolutely aligned action.
And what is aligned action?
Aligned action comes from you when you're connected to source.
And when I say source,
It's interchangeable for inner being,
Your soul,
Your inner self,
The universe,
God,
Whatever it is that you believe in,
The word doesn't matter.
It's the feeling behind it.
So aligned action comes when you're connected to source.
I'm just going to come up and look at the comments.
I am with you on the word.
Mine is also,
Mine is health also,
But I asked myself if everything is as part of my health right now.
Beautiful.
See,
So many of my actions are not aligned.
That's what it is,
Melissa,
Or Louise,
Sorry,

When our actions aren't aligned,
It's not the right action to take.
We want to come from an aligned,
Centered,
Connected to source.
That's the action you want to take.
So if you don't know that next step,
You know what I want,
But you're like,
How do I get there?
What does that mean?
Get connected.
And how do we get connected?
We are you ready for it?
We meditate.
So when you're ready to take action,
And you're like,
I know I want to feel aligned.
I want to live a healthier life.
What does that mean?
I want you to slow down.
You don't need to have the answer in this moment.
But if you slow down,
And you meditate,
And you go into meditation,
And maybe we'll do this as we kind of get towards the end,
Maybe this is something we can do together of meditating and asking.
I think God,
Source,
Universe,
Self,
I don't know the answer,
But I know that this is the desire I have.
I want to be healthier.
I want to be more calm.
I want to be more present.
And I'm going to slow down.
And I'm going to listen.
And I'm going to feel.
And I'm going to listen and feel for the message that you're giving me.
And when I get aligned,
And that idea pops into your brain,
And you feel it in your heart,
That's the thing you're supposed to do.
And sometimes it doesn't make sense.
And it might not happen in the middle of the meditation.
It might happen a week later,
Two days later,
An hour later,
10 minutes later,
It might come from somebody else.
Somebody might call you and say,
Oh,
I was just thinking of this thing.
I'm looking to do this challenge.
Do you want to join me?
And you're like,
Oh,
My God,
I'm even thinking about that's great.
I'm like,
My goal is health this year.
I think that's a really great way for you to start off my year.
Thank you so much for thinking of me.
That's going to come from an aligned place because now you're vibrating.
You're connected to source and you are vibrating that you're sending that vibration out into the world.
And what vibration is going to come back to you?
That same vibration of connectedness?
Yeah.
How do you discern desire from being aligned?
Why is there a difference?
Patty?
The listening is a hard task for me.
I'm getting better.
Thanks for the reminder.
The listening happens every single day.
And you might sit down to meditate and that day might not be your day.
But Abraham Hicks always says,
Get out ahead of it.
Don't wait until you're so deep and so down.
Your goal is to wake up and meditate and to be with yourself,
Not to wake up and take action unless it's coming from an aligned place.
And I have done that where I've woken up and I'm like,
Oh,
Gosh,
I have like,
I need to go do this.
I need to go check our bank account.
And I go and check it.
I'm like,
Oh,
No,
Something's wrong.
I have to fix it.
Like that's a line.
Like that was like source saying,
Hey,
You need to go take care of this.
Something's going on.
Desire could be ego based.
Why do you think desire?
Why are your desires ego based?
If it's a desire that's on your heart,
It's not your ego.
Your ego is telling you that that desire is not right.
Your desire is your desire and you own that a thousand percent.
And if you're talking down to your desire that you feel you're not worthy,
It's too much.
Why are you so selfish?
If you see your desires as selfish,
And then you say that selfish is bad,
We need to start there first.
Your desire is not selfish.
Your desire is your inner being saying,
This is what you desire and you are allowed to desire and to want that.
And you are allowed to have that.
So to say you can't have it,
Or you're not worthy of it,
That your desire is ego based.
You are going to constantly block and resist yourself.
And you're not going to get into alignment because your belief is that your desire is not good enough for you.
Yeah.
That's a hard thing to get past because in our society,
We are taught that we are being selfish human beings.
If we go after things that we want,
And we maybe want that nice car,
We want that big house.
We want that money,
That that's wrong,
And that's evil,
And that's greedy.
But it's not.
So there's a lot of beliefs there that need to be rewritten first,
So that you believe that your desire is worthy.
Good.
I'm glad you follow your desires.
But there's still something where you feel your desire is ego based.
You said it.
There's something there.
So I definitely would kind of get get into that as well.
I get stuck in that also.
Yeah.
If you have a desire.
So here's how we get into aligned action.
We can't get to aligned action.
If we don't think we're worthy of our desires.
We talk ourselves out of it.
Our ego is the one that talks us out of our desires being worthy.
They're not inherently unworthy.
They're not ego based.
That's just our beliefs.
So you have life experiences and your life experiences cause you to desire things.
Really those life experiences are things that you don't want.
You're like,
This happened to me and I hated it.
I worked at this job and it didn't align with me and I was miserable.
I had this boss who didn't respect me.
I bought this house and I can't stand that the bathrooms are so small.
Whatever it is,
We have experiences that cause us to desire new things.
That's life.
That's what is supposed to happen.
You're supposed to have experiences that cause you to want more in life.
Good.
Keep working on it and not just working on it,
But saying,
I'm going to believe that I am worthy.
So you have to have a belief.
You must trust and believe in your desires.
That is light.
If you don't believe in your desires,
You're never going to get there because you're never going to get into alignment.
Alignment comes from belief.
When you believe you can easily get into alignment and then you can get that download to take the action.
But if you don't believe in your desire,
Source is going to continue to show you things that make that desire stronger.
And you're going to keep resisting.
And your resistance is going to feel very challenging.
I think that we should focus more on the emotion we desire than more to focus on the thing.
That depends,
Maya.
I have a desire to paint,
But it's so difficult to learn.
So you have a belief,
Michelle,
That painting is difficult to learn.
Is that belief true?
Is painting actually difficult to learn?
And where did that belief come from?
My desire was for a new lamp working torch in Clinton for Glassburg.
Desire core is to be creative.
Beautiful Patty.
So you have the thing,
But then you have the core desire,
The feeling that you're searching for.
So it depends.
So as Maya said,
We need to focus on the emotion more than the thing,
But that depends on what comes up for you.
So when you think about the thing that you want.
So if Michelle says,
I desire to paint,
Sorry,
There's some really loud noise going on outside.
I don't know what it is.
Anyway,
So if you're desiring a thing or an experience or whatever it is,
And looking towards that thing makes you feel really good and excited,
Then lean towards that.
If thinking about that thing makes you feel like I can't have it.
If the thoughts come up of I'm not worthy,
Then don't focus on that thing.
Focus on the emotion of being creative instead and do something else off of that thing that allows you to be creative.
And as you get more clarity,
So we start general,
You start with the emotions.
And then as you go through the emotions and your belief gets stronger and stronger,
You can get more and more clarity on what that visual actual thing looks like.
But you don't have to start with the thing.
You can start with the emotion or you can start with the thing and then go towards the emotion.
It just depends on what that elicits for you.
So there's no right or wrong.
Do you start with the emotion or do you start with the thing?
You have to listen to yourself.
If you sit down and say,
I really desire $5,
000.
And if you think about getting that $5,
000,
You're like,
God,
I could never,
I could never do that.
That's too hard.
What would I need to do?
That will be too challenging.
Then don't think about the money.
Think about what will that then you go back and say,
What is it that I believe this money will give me?
What is the emotion underneath that I'm desiring?
I'm desiring freedom,
Desiring ease.
Okay,
Well,
What else in my life brings freedom and ease?
I'm just going to focus on that instead,
Because that's easier.
You want to focus on what's easier.
You don't want to swim upstream.
You want to swim downstream.
You want to go with the current.
So only you can decide based on how you're feeling,
What feels easy and what feels difficult.
Yeah.
So going along the strings,
You have to trust and believe in your desires.
And if having that focus clarity of what that thing is,
Is too difficult and too challenging,
Then go more general.
Abraham Hicks,
What we say,
Go more general,
Go more general.
So you've got to trust and believe in that.
So what else at this moment is coming up for all of you that are here live?
What's what's showing up for you that you were like,
I'm a little confused here.
This really resonated has resonated with me so far.
We've been chatting for almost a half hour now.
So what is coming up?
What do we need to dive deeper into?
Because I know I was really guided to talking about action,
But now I'm thinking,
Is that really the direction we go in?
Is that really where everybody is right now?

You could take an evening painting classes,
Most community colleges have extend.
I'd love to take I'd love to talk action.

So what is our action?
What is our action?
So we talked about aligned action.
We talked about it.
What is it that I can do to feel this way?
So I can't tell you what to do.
So Katrina,
You wrote much earlier up here,
And I'm going to see if I can scroll up to find it.
And I want you to think about,
I found it and then hold on.
I want to read it and then I kind of want to see I want to be inspired.
This is what you wrote inspired,
Energetic,
Centered self was able to positively share my energy with others.
So in what ways?
What can you do?
What do you currently do?
Or what can you do right now that is really easy,
Really flowy,
That gets you inspired?
That is inspiring to you that helps you feel energetic?

You asked a question.
And you had a belief that painting was challenging.
And if you see in the comments,
You're getting a whole bunch of ideas of like,
Well,
And again,
When you get ideas and tips like this,
You take what feels good to you,
You don't have to force anything on yourself.
But you might go,
It's shifting that belief of is painting really hard?
Or can I learn it?
Can I figure this out?
Yeah,
So Katrina,
I'd love to know some things that what can you do right now in this moment that helps you feel inspired and energetic?
Emily writes,
She wants a career change that will tap into my creativity,
Teaching strengths,
Is flexible,
Allows travel and networking and is lucrative enough for health insurance and travel for me and my kids.
I know it's there,
But don't know what it is and how to start.
Okay,
Awesome.
So you're gonna have a journey,
Emily.
And that journey is not going to get you to point z immediately.
So let's start with point one,
You're gonna go,
So we don't want to go from A to Z,
We need to go from A to B.
So what is step one?
And when we think about goals,
Sometimes we think too big.
So what is I don't need you to list,
I'm not telling you to go steps one through 10.
Well,
I'm going to do this.
And then I'm going to do this.
And then I'm going to do this.
And then I'm going to do this.
And then I'm going to do that.
What is step one?
I'm going to do that.
So it's actually a number one.
What is step one?
That's all you need to answer right now.
And then once you get to step one,
Then you're like,
Oh,
What's next?
And then step two,
Oh,
What's next?
What then step three?
I work in the arts,
There is no right or wrong way to paint.
Oh,
See,
Look,
You're getting so many things.
Yeah.
So,
Emily,
If you're looking at making a career change,
Don't focus on the career change.
I want you want something that's going to tap into your creativity,
Teaching strengths is flexible,
Allows for travel,
Focus on one of those.
So we were talking about overwhelm earlier to focus on one of those,
What is something that you can do that's going to tap into your career doesn't have to be work related,
And start focusing on things that make you feel really super creative.
And guess what the universe is going to bring you opportunities to allow you to be more creative,
Or what feels best,
Want to focus on my teaching strength?
Well,
What are your teaching strengths?
What can you do so that you're teaching more towards your strengths?
Right?
So if you're,
What I would say,
Tap into your creativity.
And then keep that idea in the back of your mind of,
I want to tap into my creativity,
But use my strengths and teaching,
Figure out what those strengths are.
I want to be flexible,
And I want to be able to travel.
I would actually probably even take out lucrative enough for health insurance and travel for me and my kids,
Because you have no idea that that's also limiting yourself.
Is that the only way to be able to do that?
Say,
I want to be able to travel and I want to be flexible,
And I want to be able to take my kids and travel with them.
And I want to be able to use my creativity.
Start with one thing.
How can I be more creative?
What can I do right here right now today?
Katrina says I can connect with people I work with who are looking for support and help them create a small plan.
A plan to involve small death.
Is that when you write that out and you read that back to yourself,

How does that feel to you?
The overwhelming one is what feels stifling.
This feels manageable.

So start with step one.
So I'm looking at Katrina's response and I'm saying,
But what's step one?
You still went really,
Really deep.
Step one,
Just like you guys were suggesting about the painting,
Like go get a paint by number book and just start painting.
Look,
Go Google local painting courses.
Go online and see what kind of painting courses are out there.
Udemy,
U-D-E-M-Y is a great resource if you wanted to learn something.
So I don't need to paint today.
What is step one?
Step one is doing some research and hopping on the computer for 20 minutes and just seeing what's out there.
Step one is posting on social media and saying,
I'd love to learn more about painting.
Does anybody know anyone?
And I'm going to tell you right now,
You're going to get your step one when you meditate.
Don't force,
Do not force this action step.
This action step,
You will meditate.
It will feel easy and it will feel exciting.
And you will have no idea what the outcome of step one is.
So how can you create a step two if you have no idea what the outcome of step one is?
So once you get step one,
Then you can go down to two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
10,
11,
12,
13,
15,
20,
And just keep going along.
And that paragraph,
You guys came up with some really beautiful paragraphs.
Those also might shift and change too.
And they're going to go from really general to more specific.
So to get to step one,
To get to any step,
You're going to meditate,
It's going to feel easy and it's going to feel exciting.
And that's how you're going to know that's the action step that you're supposed to take.

So this is step one.
Don't worry about step 10.
Do step one.
And as you do step one,
You're going to gain more clarity.
So here's what I'm going to share with you guys.
And I'm going to share this and I've shared it before.
I share it all the time.
This is my story of what I wanted,
Of how I really started on this journey.
And really had an experience of having a manifestation come to reality,
But not in the way I expected.
So it really taught me how to let go of the how.
I want to get to the next.

I want to get to the next level of my career.
I have applied internally,
But I've been unsuccessful.
I think step one is to look for.

Step one.
How does that feel?
Maybe it's the right thing.
Maybe it's not,
But let me just take this step.
So I will share this with you,
Demi.
And I don't recognize your name,
So I don't know if it's been on my live.
But in 2016.
.
.
So I'm going to do a little timeline for all of you.
So in 2016,
I knew I started a side business.
So I started a side business with the goal of working from home.
So I wanted to work from home.
I didn't really know any other way.
I learned about online business.
A woman popped up in my feed.
I had no idea who she was.
I was like,
Oh,
I'm going to learn from her.
So I started a side business so I could work from home.
Two years later,
That side business still wasn't doing what I wanted to do.
And as I went through the next two years,
Things really declined at my full-time job.
My full-time job was my work-life balance was declining.
It was in the crapper,
So to speak,
Declined.
I had gotten so far away in those two years from what I truly wanted.
So like you just said,
Demi,
I had to make a shift.
Me doing a side business wasn't the right choice.
So I started looking for new opportunities,
Other opportunities.
I had to open up my perspective and take off my blinders and say,
What else could I do because this wasn't working?
And it took me two years to get to that point,
Which was really hard for me.
It was a really hard two years.
But I started to realize that I was so focused on this is the only way that I can get out of my full-time job and have the workplace flexibility that I want.
And the universe was like,
That's not how you're going to do it.
So we're going to push you and we're going to challenge you until you open your eyes and listen.
And trust me,
The universe delivered.
My work-life balance declined.
I got so far out of touch.
I had to eventually take the blinders off and say,
What else can I do?
So I applied to other jobs.
I started researching and I was like,
Wait,
There's part-time jobs out there that I can do.
Let me see how this fits for me.
Let me go interview at other organizations.
So I took another step.
I was like,
Okay,
This isn't working.
What's the next step I can take?
So your step one might not get you the result that you want,
But it sure as heck going to give you opportunity to do something again.
So just because step one doesn't give you the exact result you want doesn't mean you don't go on to step two.
That's simply a part of your journey.
And then you're going to go from step one and go,
Oh,
That didn't work out so well.
What else can I do?
One decision at a time,
One action at a time.
Don't overload yourself because then you're going to burn yourself out.
So I started looking for other opportunities.
None of those opportunities panned out.
I got zero job offers from all of those.
I did like five interviews in two weeks.
It was insane.
I'm like,
Okay,
This isn't it.
And it didn't take me two years to make a shift again because it's this time in between challenges and learning has gotten smaller.
So I found those other opportunities.
Those didn't work.
And I went,
Okay,
What's next?
So this was early 2018.
So right,
We do early 2018.
We do mid 2018.
I quit my full time job.
Became a consultant,
Tried that out for a little bit.
Search for more opportunities.
I searched for more opportunities.
For other and more opportunities.
I just kept taking small little action steps.
And that's what I've been doing for the past three years.
And then in 2019,
I found a part time job.
Because things got challenging working on my own.
That was really hard.
It wasn't financially viable for me to continue.
So I found a part time job.
Did that for two years.
And while I was doing that,
I was still continuing to do things to kind of see what else did I want to do.
I continued looking for opportunities.
I quit that part time job in 2021.
And started a new,
More aligned job.
But still,
I'm not really sure where this is all leading.
I do know where this is leading.
So this is over a five year period.
Oh,
I just realized I was out of the camera.
Five years of 2016 wanting a side business so I could work from home.
To all of this transition to getting to where I am now.
Step one.
Step two.
Step three.
Step four.
Step five.
Step six.
Step seven.
I mean,
This is and this isn't the end.
I've got more to do.
I didn't realize in 2016 that the opportunity that I'm sitting in now and the way that I'm living now is possible.
I had to go through all of these experiences in between in order to get to where I am.
Every experience I had showed me,
Oh,
Wait a minute,
I can work part time,
Make a decent living.
And then continue to explore other options.
Oh my gosh,
Well,
This part time job was great.
It provided me the financial security that we needed at the time,
But it still wasn't an aligned job.
I wanted something,
Then I started to desire,
I said,
Why can't I work a part time job that's more aligned with who I am?
And boom,
That opportunity showed up for me.
And now I'm shifting and changing once more.
I didn't know if I would have set a goal in 2016.
And I did.
I had all my goals.
This is how I'm going to do it.
It didn't work out.
I had to continue to shift and change.
And I know that writing is really small,
So I don't know if you guys can see it.
So I'm going to go check out the comments now.
Oh,
You guys are just helping each other.

Here we go.
Maybe I can research ways people connect with others.
That the word maybe.
So I would say you don't have to have that answer right now,
But sit in meditation and say,
What can I do to be inspired?
And just see what shows up for you.
I have a master's in social work.
I want to figure out how to use this to connect with people.
Yes,
Following on my training.
Okay,
That's beautiful.
That got real specific.
How can I take my social work degree and connect with people,
But also using my yoga and meditation and just sit with that and just see what shows up.
It's really beautiful.
Or maybe I need to focus more on my own personal skills.
So there's a lot here.
So Katrina,
What I would say is sit and be and just see what feels right for you.
And listen,
You don't have to do anything.
You don't have to take a single piece of action.
You can go,
Oh,
Maybe I could do this.
Oh,
How does that feel?
Or maybe I could do this.
How does that feel?
Or maybe I could do this.
How does that feel?
And really focus on how those things feel.
And if they don't feel like 1000%,
Yeah,
This is aligned.
Just keep going.
And sit in that meditation and say,
This is getting closer.
Or don't even think about the thing that you're desiring.
If it starts to get too muddied and too stressed out.
Don't even think about it.
Think about something else.
Think about being inspired and living authentic.
Don't tie it to career and work that you're doing.
How can you just be more inspired and energetic in your life in general?
And manifestation is going to bring you more opportunities because you've already put what your desire into the vortex,
As Abraham Hicks likes to say,
Into the vortex.
It's there.
You don't have to keep putting it there.
It's there.
Just go live your life over here,
Knowing that the universe is over here going,
I got you.
You keep living inspired and energetic and connected.
And the universe is like,
I got you.
I'm going to keep bringing you these opportunities as long as you're living in this way.
You don't have to get there on your own.
You can,
We're going to get there together.
Just listen and follow and,
And let it flow.

So here's what I'm going to tell you guys.

So here's what I'm going to tell you.
These are all the outside things I was doing internally.
So 2018,
Again,
Two years of extreme stress,
Extreme overwhelm,
Extreme trying to figure.
I spent 2016 and 2017 focused on the action and doing the things,
Whether it felt good or not,
Because that's what a coach told me to do.
And that's what I was reading online.
And those are the podcasts I was listening to,
But everything I did was so out of alignment with who I was.
I didn't know anything about alignment at that time.
I had just really started diving into personal development and personal growth and spirituality,
Just starting my journey.
So I was in action mode in doing mode.
I wasn't in feeling and being mode.
In 2018,
From January of 2018,
I set out with a goal in mind,
And I said,
I just want to be home with my kids.
I don't know how I'm going to get there,
But I started to learn to be open to opportunity.
And I set a goal to meditate for 30 days.
You guys have probably heard this story a lot if you've been on my life.
Two years I spent focusing on the action.
And in 2018,
I finally said,
Who am I?
What do I need?
What do I actually want out of life?
I started listening to myself.
That's when the change happened.
That's when the shifts happen.
And they happened in months,
In weeks,
And things just move so much faster.
It was two years of treacherous torture of trying to force and push grateful for those two years taught me so much got me on my journey.
But it was when I started to focus on self and feelings and emotions,
And listening to myself,
That things catapulted for me.
And they moved 10 times quicker than they ever would.
So 2018,
And then probably like mid to late 2018,
I was still really focusing on action,
I was really just learning about manifestation and meditation and really creating that that general practice of understanding it.
2019 got a little bit better.
And I was still a little defeated of like,
I had to go back to work,
This is kind of a bummer,
This still isn't where I want to be.
But I never gave up hope.
2020 was a huge year for me.
I dialed in on,
I can work part time,
Even though I don't enjoy this job,
This isn't where I want to be.
This is a part of my journey.
And it's allowing me the freedom to do these other things and to kind of explore and have fun.
I was able to take my teaching and my coaching and really just play with it.
I took the stress out of it and that part time job allowed me to do that.
And then I went a little deeper and said,
That's not serving me anymore.
What's next?
So it was focusing on me.
I wasn't focused on the action.
The action came,
The inspired action showed up when I stopped focusing outside and started focusing inside.
So if you see yourself like I can do this,
Or I can do this,
Or I can do this,
Get out of your head and get into your heart and listen to your heart.
That's where all your answers will lie.
If you're out here and you're thinking too much,
Slow down,
Go do something that's completely different than what's on your mind and you're stressed and worried about.
You know?
Yeah,

I didn't say this,
But I think somebody else said it.
Kathleen said,
Work on your energy before you take your next action.
Don't take action unless it feels really good.
Action for action's sake is only going to give you more contrast.
It's the truth.
You're going to get results.
You're going to learn lessons.
It's really beautiful.
It could be a part of your journey,
But I'm telling you action from alignment is going to get you to where you want to be 10 times faster.
So if you feel that stress of I have to do something,
Take a step back,
Breathe and go,
I don't need to do that right now.
It's going to sit and be,
Because it's not necessarily aligned action.
It's maybe coming from a lack.
I have to do this because I don't have this.
And if I do this,
It's going to get me this thing that I want.
That's not,
You're only doing it out of lack and need.
You want to do things out of love and ease.
So I share this journey with you for all of those reasons,
Because I'm seeing so much of this and I am asking these questions.
And as I ask questions,
I learn and I go,
Nope,
That's not where we need to go at this conversation.
We need to shift and go here.
So to say you can take action,
You can do whatever feels good to you knowing here's what I'm going to say.
There is no wrong action.
Because every action has a lesson.
There's a lesson.
There's a lesson.
Oops,
Lessons.
There's a lesson.
There's more clarity in those actions you take.
So just do what feels good and be open to learning what that outcome brings you.
Learn from your actions.
Don't just take them,
Learn from them.
Take what you learn into your next action and repeat this cycle over and over and over again.
So if you're not sure what alignment feels like,
That's okay.
Take the action.
And then when you take it,
Go,
Oh,
Is that aligned or out of aligned?
And maybe it's a you're looking at it afterwards,
Not in the moment,
But you'll get better at it.
This is practice.
This is life.
This is practice.
Inspired action.
It's one of my favorite terms.
One of my favorite terms.
All right.
So we're creeping up on 55 minutes.
So I do want to go back and do a meditation.
Very short couple minutes.
I want to help you guys just understand and appreciate the slowing down this.
That's not a word.
I'm going to make it one,
But it's not slowing down the value in slowing down.
Bring my chair forward.
I'm coming.
I'm coming.
The value of slowing down.
And then you guys can hang on afterwards.
I'm more than happy to sit and answer questions or do whatever so we can continue talking.
But I want to take this moment.
And I want everyone to just slow down.
I just looked down and we have one hundred and eleven people here.
So we are clearly if you guys know angel numbers,
We are clearly in alignment right now.
This is aligned action and it's really amazing.
Beautiful.
So take a moment.
Slow yourself down.
And just take a deep breath in through your nose.
Out through your mouth.
Let it go.
Really,
Maybe you need to shake it out,
Whatever it is you need to do.
Maybe there's a lot of energy in your body.
Just let it all out.
Deep breath in.
Side out.
OK,
Good.
Because there's a lot that happens here,
We talked a lot about action and that can feel that can have a lot of energy to it.
So let's slow it down.
Take those deep sighs and once you do that,
Just slow your breathing.
Shifting your focus to your breath.
In through your nose.
Out through your nose.
Feeling your breath.
Getting connected to your physical body.
Shifting your focus to your body and your breathing.
One can focus on where you feel the breath the most.
Is it actually going through your nose,
Visualizing the breath through your nose,
Going down your body,
Coming back out?
Or is it the rise and fall of your chest and your belly?
Just listening,
Breathing,
Feeling.
Focusing on your breath.
Right here.
Right now.
Just simply connecting.
Putting a hand or both over your heart.
Getting energy from your hands and visualizing that energy going into your heart.
Opening it up.
Feeling love for yourself.
For where you are in this moment.
Feeling love and beautiful energy through your heart chakra.
As you shoot that energy through your heart chakra,
You can maybe release your hands to the tops of your knees.
That energy you just put in your heart,
Allow that energy to flow through your entire body.
Maybe you feel some vibrations and tingles,
But feel the energy.
That white light spreading through and into every cell of your body.
Through your blood and your bones,
Just allowing it to flow with ease,
To expand and open up yourself.
Now take a moment to just breathe and feel that energy as it flows through your body.
Maybe bring a smile to your face because it just feels so good.
To be connected to your inner being,
Your own self.
And allowing that energy to just flow.
Now taking your hands and lifting them high into the air.
Breathing your gaze upwards towards the sky and pulling down that beautiful energy from source above you back into your heart.
Taking another deep breath in,
Breathing through your heart this time.
Breathing in,
Filling your heart with all the love and oxygen and beautiful energy.
Then as you breathe out,
Spreading that love and energy out into the world.
Bringing your focus back to your breathing,
Back into your physical body.
Reconnecting with your body here where you are on this earth.
Knowing that you just connected with your source and that you,
Your body and your source are all connected as one.
Keeping your eyes open,
Coming back into this space.
Coming back to where you are.
