This meditation allows you to be present with your vision, using your breath. It contains some background noises (it was recorded in a garden). It allows a lot of room for authenticity in how the meditation is practiced.

Welcome to this vision guided breathing session.

The aim of this exercise is mostly to be present with our vision as kind of an alternative to regular meditations.

We are simply changing the object from the breath to the vision.

We will still be using the breathing because it is that which we are probably trained to focus to.

Then let's see if we can use the breath to be in the moment with our vision.

This can be a really fun way to change up your meditation practice by,

In general,

Changing the object every now and then.

Vision is a very exciting thing,

Actually,

If you are really present with it.

To start off,

You can take any kind of vision you want to focus on.

I will just give some examples.

You could use an apple that's in your house,

Your turned-off TV screen.

You might also use an outside view.

Maybe you have a nice plant.

You can choose a very specific part if that feels easier for you.

Let's say one specific leaf or even one specific nerve in a leaf.

But you can also decide to take your entire vision as your object.

Just see if for these 20 minutes you can keep an intention and stick to it.

Now that we've identified our vision object,

Let's take a seat or lie down,

Depending on what position you want to be in.

But make sure that you're definitely a bit comfortable so your attention can really go towards your vision and you don't have to worry about sitting upright or something like that.

Perhaps as we start to tune in to our present vision,

We start by noticing our breathing.

We give the breath all the space it needs to settle in its own natural rhythm.

Make the thoughts a bit softer.

Let the breath take a little bit more space.

Once the breath has settled into place,

Let's see if we can start by noticing something about our vision.

Some small detail without thinking of how it should be or look.

What we are seeing is what currently is.

Now this might come as either very natural to you,

But it might also be that it is really hard to see something without judgment.

That it's like we're trying to grasp for something in our vision,

Like we're pulling it towards us.

The point of this exercise is to see if we can simply allow the vision to be exactly the way that it is and see if we can,

With patience,

Grow into a state of just being with the vision.

Using our breath,

We're breathing in our vision and breathing out our vision.

At the start it might be really hard to get in touch with your vision.

Just keep on very small steps at a time,

Breathing in the present vision and breathing it out again.

Breathing in the present vision and breathing out.

It could be that your vision is moving,

Either the object itself or the muscles of your eye and your inner representation of what you're seeing.

There might also be a stillness,

Be judgments,

Distractions,

Whatever it is.

See if you can return to the very pure,

Very natural,

Present vision.

And wherever our mind wanders,

We can realize ourselves that we are currently seeing.

We are currently breathing.

And we are currently breathing with our vision.

Should there have been a distraction,

Just allow that distraction to be.

And realize the very pure vision once again.

Should it happen that your eyes tend to get slightly more strained over time,

Maybe just find a natural way for your eyes to relieve the tension.

Let them bathe as much as possible in the present moment.

Are you still present with your vision?

Once again,

Try to notice,

Become aware of your current vision,

Your vision.

And as we are approaching the end of this vision practice,

Let me take a little bit of a moment to see how this vision exercise has changed you or how you have incorporated it.

Maybe you did it with a sense of deeper connection to your environment,

Perhaps a sense of fun.

Or maybe it was just a nice eye muscle workout.

Maybe you couldn't connect to your vision at all.

Whatever your experience of this practice,

It's completely okay.

Maybe it can be nice to roll around your eyes a little bit,

Look to the left,

Look to the right,

Wink a few times.

Thank you so much for listening to my practice and I hope you have a wonderful day.
