In a fast-paced world,
We often find it hard to slow down,
Focus on the details,
And see the softness of life.
I encourage you to take a moment to tap into that
slowness.
Let your mind relax.
There's nothing that you have to do.
You can be
right here,
Right now.
Let's take a deep breath together.
Ready?
In 1,
2,
3,
4,
And
hold for 1,
2,
3,
4.
Out 1,
2,
3,
4.
Again,
Take a deep breath in 1,
2,
3,
4.
Hold
1,
2,
3,
4.
Exhale 1,
2,
3,
4.
And hold 1,
2,
3,
4.
Last time.
Breathe in 1,
2,
3,
4.
Hold for 1,
2,
3,
4.
Exhale 1,
2,
3,
4.
And go back to your normal breathing.
Now
check in with your body.
See if there's any place in your body that feels a
little bit tight,
And use your breath to release it.
You might even want to
massage that area while you're breathing into it.
Just check in with
your body.
Do a full body scan starting from your head,
Going down to your throat,
To your clavicle,
And your arms,
And your hands,
Your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your
stomach,
Your hips,
Your legs,
And your feet.
Is there any place that you can
relax into just a little bit more?
See if you can relax 5% more.
Now that you're
in this relaxed state,
What is happening around you?
Tune into your different
senses.
What do you feel?
Maybe you want to rub your feet on the ground.
What do
you hear?
What do you taste?
What do you see?
Find one thing in your environment
that you find really beautiful,
And focus in on that.
Look at it in detail.
See what
are some of the things that you notice about it.
What are some things you
already knew about it,
And see if you can discover anything else.
Now let's go
back to feel,
And feel your feet.
Or you can also use your hands if you want,
If
you've got shoes on,
Or socks on,
And it's difficult to feel.
You can use your hands
to brush them up against something,
Or use your feet.
See what what do you feel?
What is the sensation?
Have you felt this before?
Is there something new that you
can discover about this feeling?
And let's tap into hearing.
See what you can
hear.
Now see if there's another layer of what you're hearing that you can tune
into.
Taste might be a little bit difficult to do,
But if you can,
See what
your mouth tastes like.
I know that might sound funny,
But there's always taste
that we have that are happening.
And if you want,
You can experiment with taste
later by very slowly eating something,
And playing with the different layers of
taste.
So just one thing,
And go really slow,
And see what are those layers of
taste that you can taste.
You'll find that there's different textures,
Different
tastes that you never found before with something that you eat on a regular
basis.
So you can play with that later.
So now that you've tuned into these little
details of life,
Remember that this is something that you can do when you get
stressed out.
And you can do it anywhere.
You can do it at work,
You can do it at
home,
You can even do it while you're in an argument,
Believe it or not.
And it
might ground you and completely change the trajectory of what it is that was
happening that may have been irritating,
And bring you back into the present.
This
is also really good for rumination,
And bringing you into the present.
So I hope
that you use it frequently,
And many blessings to you.
