Hello and welcome.
My name is Nick Scott and this meditation is titled,
Cultivating Your True Potential.
Only when we step away from the busyness of our minds and look within are we able to connect to the part of us that is truly limitless,
The part of us that knows no boundaries,
The part of us that loves unconditionally,
The part of us that doesn't need to prove anything,
The part of us that regardless of what the ego perceives as a mistake,
Loves you anyway.
We reaction to circumstances with motivation rather than inspiration.
We are often being guided by a part of us that is heavily influenced by external factors.
This includes the media,
Social media,
Social expectations and comparison to others.
Whether it's a health or fitness desire,
Improving your athletic performance,
Lacking inspiration,
Struggling to deal with an overactive mind or simply looking for an authentic connection to your source,
This short meditation will guide you towards your true inner potential.
So let's sit comfortably,
Either upright with the Nerex spine or perhaps lying down if you prefer.
There are no rules in this meditation.
Together let's take a deep breath into the nose,
Pause and release through the mouth.
Again,
Deep breath into the nose,
Pause,
Exhaling out through the mouth.
And one last time,
Breathing into the nose,
Pause,
Exhaling out through the mouth.
Now bring your attention to your head.
See if you can soften your brow.
At least your jaw.
At least your tongue.
At least your right hand.
Right foot.
Left foot.
Left hand.
Lower back.
And neck.
Now bring your attention back to your breath.
As your breath slowed,
Perhaps it still feels partially restricted.
Whatever you're experiencing,
Just observe what is happening,
Refraining from judgement.
If your mind is busy,
Simply allow it rather than forcing it to quieten.
When the mind wants to wander,
Allowing it to do so often softens its charge.
So when you notice your mind wandering,
Ever say it gently.
Just bring it back to the mantra.
Now we're going to sit with the mantra So Ham.
Meaning I am that,
All that is.
This powerful mantra will alter our vibration,
Guide us to a sense of groundedness and oneness.
Often in competitive sport,
Exercise and competition,
We can tend to spend more energy focusing on what our competition is doing,
Their strengths,
Rather than maintaining our own focus.
Maintaining a calmer state of consciousness.
This state of consciousness that will allow our true potential to flourish.
Just before we get started,
If your mind wanders,
Just observe it.
Simply noticing and let it flow.
Try and avoid exploring the answers.
Just let the thoughts flow through you.
Let's begin.
So Ham.
I am all that is.
So Ham.
So Ham.
So Ham.
So Ham.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
Keeping your eyes closed.
Just gently release the mantra.
Just bringing your attention to the muscles in your face.
Just taking a gentle scan across the muscles in your face.
Just noticing the breath.
Simply observing.
In your own time.
Just gently wiggle your fingers,
Toes.
Let's just take one last deep breath into the nose.
And then pause.
Exhale out through the mouth.
One last time,
Breathe into the nose.
Deep into the belly.
Pause.
And exhale out through the mouth.
Now in your own time.
Gently open your eyes.
Namaste.
