This meditation is designed to bring about feelings of love and joy.
I recommend that you take a comfortable position,
Either lying down or in a chair,
And make sure you are in a place where you'll be undisturbed.
Perhaps dimming the lights and just taking some time,
Taking some time just for yourself.
As you begin to find your comfortable position,
We'll begin to bring our attention to our breath.
So as the eyes close,
Drawing your attention inwards,
Beginning to bring your attention to your breath.
Taking a few moments,
Breathing in,
Breathing out with gentle awareness and focus on your breath.
Beginning to notice where you feel this breath.
Maybe you feel this breath coming in through the nose and out through the nose.
Perhaps you feel this breath in the throat,
The upper chest,
The abdomen.
Just taking these next few moments,
Continuing to breathe in and out with gentle awareness.
Noticing where you feel this breath.
Taking our awareness from our breath and becoming aware of our body.
Aware of our body and the position it's currently in and just noticing where it feels supported.
Noticing those little points where your body touches the surface supporting it.
The shoulders,
The hips,
Thighs,
Calves,
Heels.
Beginning to pick apart every little point in which your body comes into contact with the surface supporting it.
You are aware of the surface supporting your body.
Your body resting on the surface supporting it.
Becoming aware of this support and allowing yourself to deeply relax into this support.
Every exhale,
Relax into the support.
Relaxing into the support that's available for you.
Every exhale,
Relaxing into the support.
Bringing your awareness to the center of your chest,
The seat of the heart.
As you bring your awareness to your heart.
Your awareness gently resting at your heart.
Taking this moment to breathe in.
Feeling the breath move into the heart.
Feeling the heart,
Physical and energetic heart,
Begin to expand as you breathe in.
Softening and relaxing as you breathe out.
Breathing in to the heart.
Softening,
Relaxing as you breathe out.
As you continue to breathe into the center of your heart.
Breathing in the essence of love and joy.
Breathing in love and joy to the center of the heart.
As you exhale,
Sending this joy to every part of your being.
Breathing in love and joy.
Exhaling this love and joy.
Sending this love and joy into every cell,
Tissue.
Breathing in love and joy.
And distributing this love and joy as you exhale.
Breathing in love and joy to the center of your heart.
And as you exhale,
Distributing this love and joy to every cell,
Tissue,
Organ.
Distributing this love and joy to your entire being.
As you continue to breathe,
You notice that your heart begins to expand even more.
Your heart so full of love,
So full of joy.
As you exhale,
You notice your body is full.
This time now that is pure love.
Being is pure love,
Pure joy.
My being is pure love and pure joy.
Now that we have taken some time to nurture ourselves,
To fill ourselves up with this pure love and joy and to remind ourselves that we are pure love and joy.
Opening space to send this pure love and joy to someone,
This reminder.
Someone in your life that may need this love and joy.
At this time visualizing that person.
Perhaps a friend,
Perhaps a friend,
A spouse.
And as you breathe in,
Feeling this pure love and pure joy.
And as you exhale,
Sending this pure love and pure joy.
The person in your life that you feel may benefit from receiving.
Doing this a few more times as you breathe in pure love and exhale,
Sending this pure love and pure joy from the center of your heart to the center.
Sharing in this.
Each and every one of us is made of love,
Pure joy.
And in this moment reminding yourself that in order to share this abundance,
To share this gift,
To give love,
To share joy,
We must first cultivate this within ourselves.
Recognize this within ourselves.
Nurture yourself first.
Yourself first to share,
To give.
The cup is full.
Your heart is full.
You are overflowing with pure love and pure joy.
At this time bringing your awareness back to those points of support,
Those points of support that are holding you,
Those places where your body touches the surface supporting it.
Feeling held,
Feeling aware of your body,
Feeling supported.
Bringing your awareness back to your breath,
Perhaps consciously deepening your inhale,
Lengthening your exhale.
Becoming conscious of your breath,
Deeply breathing in and lengthening the exhale as you breathe out.
Aware of my body,
Aware of my breath.
Bringing yourself back to your breath,
To your body.
When you're ready,
I'd like for you to gently invite movement into the body,
Perhaps wiggling the fingers,
Wiggling the toes,
Moving the body in any way that feels natural.
Taking this time to consciously breathe in and breathe out,
Remembering that you are pure love,
Pure joy.
And when you're ready,
You can gently blink the eyes open.
This meditation can be done at any time,
As often as you'd like,
Morning or evening.
Using this meditation in times when you feel as if you are lacking,
Perhaps feeling empty or alone,
Perhaps when you're feeling drained or tired.
Using this meditation as a tool to help fill and fuel yourself,
Your heart,
Your being,
Body,
Spirit.
Thank you so much for listening.
Until next time.
