Welcome to this guided meditation to help stop the infinite mental to-do list.
Whether you need a moment of true rest in the middle of your day or you are ready to close your eyes for the day,
This is your space to rest.
Not only for your body but for your mind and your soul as well.
Let's take 3 deep breaths filled with presence.
Breathe in slowly through your nose.
Feel your chest expand,
Hold it at the top for a moment.
And now release slowly.
Let your shoulders soften,
Let your jaw unclench.
Breathe in again slowly through your nose,
Hold it at the top and release slowly.
Let the space between your eyebrows smooth.
Let your chest open and your heart feel a little lighter.
And the last grounding breath,
Breathe in,
Hold it and now release slowly.
Let your hands rest heavy,
Free of anything to hold.
You've done enough today,
Whatever didn't get done doesn't need to belong to this moment.
If thoughts of what you need to do keep popping into your mind,
Let them through and when you notice,
Come back to your body,
Come back to your breaths.
As thoughts keep coming through,
Imagine them as little bubbles floating above your head.
They fly there for a moment and with your exhalation let them drift away.
Nothing is lost,
Everything that truly matters will still be there when you return.
As you picture your thoughts flying away,
Feel their weight release their grip.
Feel the muscles in your body.
Is there any muscle that feels tight?
Feel your jaw.
Feel your neck.
Feel the muscles around your eyes,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your belly,
Your legs.
Allow for all the tension to melt away.
Now bring your hand to your heart,
Feel it beating,
Steady,
Calm,
Alive.
This is what's real.
This is what's here,
What's now.
Repeat quietly to yourself,
I am safe to rest.
I am safe to let go.
I am enough,
Even in stillness.
Notice how your breath moves in waves,
How life continues even when you stop doing.
This pause is not empty,
It's sacred.
It's the space where your energy restores itself,
Where your clarity returns.
Allow your mind to rest in this space,
Spacious,
Open,
Quiet,
Like a clear sky after the storm of thoughts has passed.
You can stay here for as long as you need.
When you're ready to come back,
Take one deep grounding breath,
Feeling the support beneath you,
The earth.
And remember,
You don't have to finish everything to deserve rest.
Rest is what allows you to keep going and to begin again.
Thank you for meditating with me.
