In this meditation session,
I'm going to talk about intention.
But before that,
I want you to bring your awareness into your breath.
Breathe in through your nose and breathe out through your mouth.
Inhale through your nose,
Exhale through your mouth.
And continue to breathe.
Inhale through your nose,
Exhale through your mouth.
While you bring your awareness into your breath,
Feel what's happening in your body.
Do you feel that your tension softening,
Your body become more gentle when you can really feel and listen to your breath?
Now you can breathe normally as you usually do.
Bring your awareness into an intention.
What is your intention?
Why do you join this meditation?
Why do you want to meditate?
Finding the time and motivation to meditate is difficult.
That's why finding the right intention will help you to stay focused on your goal of keeping a consistent meditation practice.
Every journey and every practice of meditation begins with an intention.
If you don't set firm intentions,
You'll eventually lose sight of the reason you're meditating and you'll find yourself wondering of course.
Intention is a sense of attitude that helps you to stay focused on keeping a consistent practice.
Human intentions arise from your innate,
Ascension nature.
The force that drives you to breathe,
Eat and seek shelter as well as to find a connection to something bigger or to seek enlightenment.
Your heartfelt intention is a powerful internal agreement with yourself.
Take time with your practice now to discover your genuine intentions.
Write them down and engage them for your practice.
Do this when you start a meditation and yoga journey.
Keep in mind that intentions are concise statements that harness your determination to achieve specific outcomes.
Doubts may arise,
But when you have genuine intention,
You will find that you say what you mean and mean what you say.
A commitment to yourself.
If you have any difficulties focusing once you get into your meditation,
You can set intention to inquire into a particular emotion or belief.
To focus on being aware of your body and mind.
So it is ultimately to be aware of being aware.
No intention is either too small or too large.
The point is to discover and affirm the intentions that are right for you.
To start,
You can write down the word or phrase that best describes your answer to these questions.
What is my deepest desire for joining this journey?
What would my life look like?
What would my days look like?
What would I do?
Who would I be?
How many minutes a day am I truly willing to dedicate on the journey?
How many days a week am I truly willing to take me time moment?
You can pause this meditation and then reflect and answer all those questions.
And then after you finished writing your answers,
You can reread your responses and pay attention to how true each feels on an intuitive level in your body.
Intuitive level means that when you affirm each statement,
Does it feel right in your gut or heart and not just in your thinking mind?
Circle keywords or phrases that resonate with you.
You can express each intention as a concise statement of fact in the present tense as if it's already true.
You can pause now and answer those questions.
Next,
You can pick one,
Two or even three intentions and shorten them into simple,
Easily remembered phrases.
So,
It will be easier for you to remember when you do your practice.
For example,
I practice yoga two times a week for 20 minutes can be stated as yoga,
Two and 20.
Another example,
I take my alone time by walking becomes mindful walking.
You can pause on this section and then work on those intentions that you choose.
And then the final meditation section is to repeat your intention internally to yourself at the beginning of,
Throughout and at the end of every practice you do.
Always affirm your intentions with deep feeling certainty with your entire body and mind.
So if you want to repeat this meditation on intentions again,
You can repeat from the beginning.
And then remember what is the most important thing for you.
And remember always create an intention when you start your activity,
Your meditation,
Your yoga practice.
And enjoy your journey joyously.
