Today,

We're going to do a quick grounding meditation.

This is a great one for learning how to be still and recharging.

It's actually also a great one for kids as well because it helps them calm down.

So to start,

You can either sit or stand with your feet firmly on the ground.

Go ahead and close your eyes.

Gently take a deep breath in,

And notice how your body feels as you inhale.

Now take a long breath out,

And feel the difference in your body as you exhale.

Just breathe in and out,

Noticing how your body feels.

Connect to your breath,

Connect to your body,

And all of your awareness into your body as you breathe in and out.

Feel how you connect to the ground beneath you.

Bring your focus to how your feet are connected to the earth underneath you.

Just keep your breath flowing in and out.

Be aware of your breath as you inhale and exhale.

Don't force it.

Just notice.

Feel your body sink into the earth.

As you move through your breath,

Feel your body almost sinking into the ground.

Just take your time here.

Don't hurry or rush.

Just take this time to connect your body and your breath down into the earth.

If your mind wanders,

Don't worry about it.

Just see the thoughts and focus once again on your breath.

When other thoughts start to come in,

Just notice them.

Let them pass,

And again,

Come back to your breath and the feel of the earth beneath your feet,

Connecting you deeper and deeper,

Sinking further and further into the ground.

Whenever you feel ready,

You can open your eyes and take a deep breath in.

Take your arms overhead and stretch from your fingertips down to your toes,

And head back into your day feeling calm and grounded.
