This is a yoga nidra to guide you in connecting with your own inner compass,
Your own sense of inner knowing.
My name is Natalie and I'm so glad you're here.
Take some time now to allow your body to settle into a comfortable place.
Give yourself the support that you need.
As we begin this yoga nidra practice,
You can set a heart's intention or a sankalpa.
If you have one in mind that you like to use,
You're welcome to use it.
Otherwise,
You might choose one of the following.
I trust in my path.
I choose myself.
I am grounded.
Choose the words that resonate the most with your own heart.
And then once you've chosen them,
Say them to yourself quietly three times.
Allow your body to become still.
Bring all of your attention to your eyes.
Sensing your eyes,
Eyelids,
Cheeks,
The bridge of your nose,
Right nostril,
Left nostril,
Top lip,
Bottom lip,
Tip of your tongue,
Teeth,
The back of your throat,
Right shoulder,
Right elbow,
Wrist,
Palm,
Back of the hand,
Tip of thumb,
Tip of first finger,
Tip of second finger,
Tip of third finger,
Tip of little finger,
Slowly sensing fingers,
Right hand,
Right arm,
Right side chest,
Waist,
Right hip,
Knee,
Ankle,
Heel,
Sole,
Top of right foot,
First toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe,
Sense toes,
Right foot,
Leg,
Right side of your back,
Heart center,
Left shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm,
Back of the hand,
Tip of thumb,
Tip of first finger,
Tip of second finger,

Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Toes,
Left foot,
Leg,
Left side of your back,
Sense the back of your neck,
Head,
Allow your attention to rest at the top of your head,
With your awareness still on the top of your head,
Also begin to sense your natural breath,
Natural breath in and out of your nose,
Filling your body with life,
With your awareness on your breathing,
Begin to wash your attention slowly down from the top of your head,
Moving gently with breath,
All the way down to your feet,
Imagining your awareness was like honey,
Or like water,
And coming back up to the top of your head again with your awareness,
Slowly washing your attention and your awareness through your whole body,
Stay present with your natural breath just as it is,
Begin to invite in the idea and any feelings around having a sense of knowing,
A sense of certainty,
How does that feel in your body,
Now begin to invite in the opposite idea and feelings around not knowing and feeling uncertainty,
Invite in a sense of not knowing and uncertainty,
And connect to how that feels in your body,
Can you now hold space for certainty and uncertainty,
Can you invite in trust to guide you into the knowing and the not knowing,
Allow any feelings here to gently fade with your mind's eye,
Begin to move deeper into your own consciousness,
Imagine a long winding path in the woods,
The arrow of a compass,
A blue butterfly,
A running river,
The north star,
A lighthouse next to the ocean,
The arrow of a compass,
Fireflies twinkling at night,
A lantern lighting the way,
The arrow of a compass,
Begin to walk toward the darkness and the quiet using your own source of light to guide you,
Take with you a sense of trust,
Take with you your heart's intention,
Begin to slowly come back and allow your first thought to be a reminder of your own heart's intention that you set at the beginning,
Take some time to connect to your breath,
Thank you so much for being here with me today and sharing in this practice,
Wishing you a peaceful day and a peaceful sleep.
