This is the first in a new series of Soul Conversation Talks — powerful, practical teachings born from our live gatherings. These talks are designed as companions you can return to whenever you need guidance, comfort, or a reminder of your own inner wisdom. In this opening conversation, we explore what it really means to move through “slow times.” You’ll discover the two kinds of silence that shape these seasons, the emotions that often arise when life feels paused or uncertain, and simple practices to bring clarity, trust, and gentle joy back into your rhythm. Think of this as a steady hand to hold when everything feels unclear — a talk to come back to whenever you need encouragement, perspective, and a softer way forward.

Welcome to the Soul Conversation talk.

This series began as live Soul Conversations,

Gatherings where we explored the deeper themes we all move through.

Change,

Uncertainty,

Wealth,

Joy and more.

Each talk is designed as a practical tool,

Something you can return to whenever you need it,

With clear explanations,

Simple coping mechanisms and easy-to-understand definitions that help you move through lives more uncertain times.

Think of these sessions as reference points,

A place to pause,

Gain perspective and gather tools for your own journey.

I am so glad you're here.

Let's begin.

This talk is a tool for the times when life slows down,

When things feel uncertain,

Quiet or beyond your control.

These seasons,

These cocoon seasons can feel uncomfortable.

You may wonder if you've lost momentum,

If you've done something wrong.

Or if life has forgotten you.

But these times are not a punishment.

They are part of a natural rhythm of becoming.

Take a breath,

Or two,

Or three.

And allow yourself to be here.

This moment is enough.

Life moves in seasons.

Some are fast and expensive,

Full of connection and activity.

Others are quiet,

Still and slow.

When a cocoon season arrives,

It can look like business slowing down,

Relationships softening,

Or just your body insisting on more rest.

It can feel like silence,

Like nothing is happening,

Like nothing is happening to you when it happens to others.

And yet,

Beneath the surface,

There is movement,

Integration,

Repair,

Gestation.

Like anyone else,

I've experienced this too.

There was a time when everything in my outer power seemed to pause.

The invitations to connect stopped.

The invitations to collaborate stopped.

The invitations to integrate stopped.

The momentum I thought I could count on suddenly slowed.

At first,

I thought I had failed.

All that life had passed me by.

But,

In hindsight,

That cocoon season gave me so much clarity,

Energy,

And a deeper sense of who I was becoming.

You are not broken.

You are simply in a different rhythm.

Many of us were taught to see slowness as a problem.

We inherited beliefs like productivity equals worth,

Visibility equals success,

Speed equals safety.

And yet,

Slow times break these illusions.

They remind us that stillness is not stuckness,

Silence is not emptiness,

Slowness is not failure.

Take a moment and think back to your last slow season.

What story did you tell yourself then?

How could that story shift if you decided to see it as a cocoon and not a collapse?

There are two kinds of silence we often meet in cocoon times.

The first is energetic silence.

You're showing up,

You're doing the work,

But there's no response,

No invitation.

The feedback dries up,

The invitations don't come,

And what once felt alive suddenly feels muted.

The second is emotional isolation.

It's not just that the outside world is quiet.

Or that it is very loud and yet your own world is quiet.

It's just that you feel cut off from it.

This can be lonely,

As though everyone else is moving forward while you're standing still.

This cocoon season can show up in many,

Many ways.

The outside world grows quiet.

You stop hearing yeses.

Things that once flowed begin to stall.

Motivation drops.

Clarity disappears.

Even simple decisions can feel overwhelming or foggy.

And with those shifts,

Emotions rise.

You might recognise some of these.

Anger,

Frustration,

Foggy brain.

Feeling punished or like a failure.

Feeling stuck in a loop.

Loneliness,

Despair or just discomfort in the unknown.

Sometimes the deep healing that only emerges when life slows you down.

If you are feeling any of this right now,

You're not alone.

These are not signs that something is wrong with you.

They are signs you are in the cocoon.

You are in the magic of infinite creation.

So how do you live inside the cocoon without fear?

Here are six simple tools you can return to whenever life slows down.

Acceptance over resistance.

This is the first step.

Name it,

Own it,

Honour it.

Simply say,

This is my cocoon time.

And this could help soften the fear and shift the energy.

Learn from the pause.

The cocoon is a classroom.

Journaling,

Reflection or revisiting old practices can reveal what life is teaching you right now.

Ask yourself,

What is this season showing me?

Change your frequency through joy.

Joy can change everything.

In slow times,

Joy doesn't have to be big.

It can be just beauty,

Laughter,

Lightness,

Small sparks that shift your entire energy.

Recalibrate your energy.

Your body often knows what you need before your mind does.

Rest more.

Re-centre.

Allow intuitive presence.

Cocoon times are incredible nervous system resets.

Follow what lights you up.

Instead of forcing strategy,

Follow curiosity.

Let yourself explore what lights you up,

Even if it feels small or unrelated.

Curiosity is the compass through the fog.

Dive deep into what wants to be seen.

Sometimes the cocoon asks you to sit with what feels uncomfortable.

Through energy work,

Meditation,

Intuition or simply giving your discomfort a voice,

You allow healing to surface.

And remember,

You don't need to do this alone.

Tools like oracle cards,

Emotional freedom technique,

Journaling or any work with trusted practitioners can be an incredible support.

You don't have to struggle in silence.

Though it may not feel like it in the moment,

Slow times carry many treasures.

The treasure of clarity.

With less noise truths are able to rise to the surface.

The treasure of integration.

Lessons from the last chapter can finally weave into your body and spirit.

The treasure of preparation.

What looks like stillness is often gestation,

The quiet work of your next becoming.

Ask yourself,

What am I learning in this pause?

What strength is quietly being woven through me?

Slow is not stuck.

Slow is sacred.

As we close,

Let this question rest in you.

What part of me is quietly growing stronger right now?

There is no need to rush the answer.

Trust that it will surface in time.

And remember,

The cocoon isn't holding you back.

It's holding you together.

Steadying you,

Restoring you,

Bringing you the magic of full creation.

Preparing you for the moment when it will be time to open again.

Thank you for sharing this time.

May you trust the rhythm of your own becoming.

May you welcome this time of incredible manifesting powers that are finally emerging,

Finally have time to be seen,

To be felt.

May you receive all the blessings that you so deserve.

Thanks Natalie❣️💝💐 Learnt a few things I wasn’t so aware of happening in the background of a slower pace of life. I like the time for integration of the last chapter taking place.
