Arjun,

Welcome,

Welcome,

Welcome,

Welcome,

Welcome again.

Great to be here,

Guys.

How are you today?

Super duper.

Excellent.

So,

Last time we talked about the topic of abundance,

Which we've been talking about in the last two episodes now,

And we spoke about one principle which was around abundance requires you to indulge in both giving and receiving.

I use the word indulge because these were your words,

And you talked about that when you said indulge means immersing yourself,

Your whole body,

Whole spirit,

Whole experience.

So we talked about a tool,

And we talked about a couple of tools,

Actually.

Well,

One tool,

Two tools,

Three tools.

We talked about the first tool,

Which was the self-assessment,

Whereby you can measure your propensity to receive.

We had a look at four questions under that particular tool.

And then we talked about three questions,

And we also talked about whose generosity am I rejecting as tool number two,

And tool number three,

Which was building your receptivity muscles.

So today we start the podcast on principle two,

I guess.

Yeah.

Brilliant.

Great.

So what is principle two?

Great.

All right.

So the last podcast was all about the first principle of abundance,

And this is the second box,

The purple box with the orange ribbon,

That has a total of four principles in it.

We've covered the first principle in the previous podcast.

In this podcast,

We're going to get started with principle two,

And most likely we will do two,

Three,

And four,

Because these go a lot faster.

So here's principle number two in the area of abundance,

The principles of abundance.

The principle is money is neither good nor bad.

Money is just a tool that you can use for good or bad.

All right.

So money is neither good nor bad.

Money is just a tool that you can use for good or bad.

And this principle now takes you into the heart of your relationship with money slash abundance.

Just for simplicity's sake,

I'm going to use both those two words interchangeably later on when we get into the five forms of abundance,

We can discern the different forms where money is just one form of abundance.

All right.

But when it comes to our relationship with abundance,

I've found that the greatest challenges that I found,

The most dysfunctions that I found is where people's relationship with receiving money.

So money is neither good nor bad.

Money is just a tool that you can use for good or bad.

Okay.

So,

Shall I just carry on then?

Yes,

Please.

Okay.

Here's the idea.

Never,

Ever,

Ever,

Never,

Ever,

Never,

Ever,

Never,

Ever,

Ever,

Never,

Ever,

And did I say ever,

Never,

Never,

Never,

Ever criticize rich people.

Never criticize rich people.

No matter what.

.

.

Is that an instruction?

Or.

.

.

They might have done.

There are a few things that I'm very firm about,

And this is one of those things,

Because my assumption is if you're listening to this,

Then you seek to,

Want to,

Desire to attract abundance to your life.

And I have seen a multitude,

Met with,

Known of multitude of people who've blocked abundance just because they critique rich people.

Remember,

The person may have questionable scruples,

That rich person who you want to critique,

But there is still an energy around that person that in the here and now has caused him or her to attract abundance money into their life.

They may or may not keep that abundance,

But the universe sorts that out via the laws of the universe.

That's not your job to do.

The moment you critique anyone who is successful,

You are now in protection mode,

Not prosperity mode.

You are shifting to the reptilian brain rather than the prefrontal cortex.

You are in a lower emotional feeling state rather than a higher emotional state.

And that critique or indulgence in critique,

If you want to call it that,

Is a recipe for disaster when it comes to the attraction of wealth.

So when you know of,

Hear of people who are wealthy,

Feel excitement,

Feel joy,

And give thankfulness for other people's riches.

I was driving down the highway with a friend of mine,

And we probably had like a Toyota or something like that,

And someone in a red Ferrari went past us.

And I could sense the dissent in this person,

And I think she did or wanted to say something that was spiteful towards that person,

But before she did,

I short-circuited it.

And I said,

Thank you.

She said,

What are you saying thank you for?

And I told her,

I said,

I'm thanking the universe for giving that person the money to buy that car.

Beautiful.

And then there was peace after that.

Here's something that we all need to know.

The overwhelming majority of rich people are compassionate,

Kind,

And humble.

And this is not my opinion.

There is data.

There is evidence.

There is empirical studies to show this.

A great book for you to investigate is a book titled The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas Stanley and William Danko.

And this book was written in the 1980s.

Follow-up studies have been done by both of these people,

Stanley and Danko.

And what they did is they just decided to figure out who are these people.

Started in America,

Later studies went around the world.

Who are these people who are self-made millionaires?

Who are they?

What kind of people are they?

And the title of the book is The Millionaire Next Door because there's somebody living next door who you have no idea who they are,

And yet their net worth is well over a million dollars.

The book shares how these people,

How these people do not pursue status.

The overwhelming majority of them.

And I'm talking,

When I say overwhelming majority,

In excess of 96,

97% of millionaires and billionaires around the world don't seek fame or accolades or recognition.

They're just content being where they are.

They live wholesome lives.

They participate in activities that contribute to their personal health,

Their relationships.

They enjoy their freedom,

Their hobbies.

And behind the scenes,

They're doing so many amazingly compassionate things that you and me do not know about.

That's data that's recorded.

The minority,

Probably less than 4%,

Are the ones who are quote-unquote misusing money.

And the media now focuses camera attention on those and makes mountains out of molehills.

And therefore,

We have the mistaken perception that majority of rich people are crooks,

Which is empirically false.

Yeah,

You're absolutely right.

This is where we build our habit to critique rich people.

And someone was getting into a debate with me saying,

No,

But da-da-da,

Et cetera.

I said,

OK,

If you're going to critique the 4% who are crooks,

You must also be thankful and happy and joyful for the 96% that are compassionate.

And your ratio of critique to gratitude must be 4 is to 96.

What's your ratio now?

And I'm OK if you settle for the 4 is to 96 ratio,

Because in that measure,

You will be in a higher state of consciousness,

And now you'll start attracting riches to you.

Can you feel gratitude?

Can you feel gratitude for another's victory as you would for your own?

For when you do that,

You have unlocked for yourself the storehouse of infinite treasure.

I will go ahead and receive and take credit for this quote,

Because I've created it myself.

Say it again for us,

Please.

Can you feel gratitude for another's victory as you would for your own?

For when you do,

You have unlocked for yourself the storehouse of infinite treasure.

That,

Ladies and gentlemen,

Is an Arjun Iyer original,

And helps you now to build a harmonious relationship with money.

This is so important.

Money is energy,

And a functional relationship vis-a-vis a dysfunctional relationship with money determines the extent to which you receive abundance.

Yeah.

It's energy.

You're absolutely right.

It's not just about the.

.

.

It's not the money itself,

But it's the energy.

It is,

And therefore,

When we dislike some rich people,

We are actually in a very indirect way even disliking money.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Absolutely.

Because we have a judgment on it.

Therefore,

We've already spread an energy around it.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Absolutely.

And I love the affirmation.

And the affirmation is this.

I love money,

And money loves me.

Great thing to do as part of mirror work.

Great,

Great exercise to do,

Stand in front of the mirror.

Naked works really well,

Too.

I love money,

And money loves me.

So that's the second principle.

And I do have an idea here.

This is a tool,

An idea from access consciousness,

And this helps us to squeeze the juice out of principle two,

To extract from principle number two this whole idea.

I think I know what you're going to say.

Is?

Okay.

Okay.

Let me say it,

And then see if it's the same thing.

Okay.

What can I add to my life today that will generate lots of money now and in the future?

That's an access consciousness question around money,

Abundance,

Attracting cash flow.

What can I add to my life today that will generate lots of money now and in the future?

Again,

A question to contemplate,

Not necessarily to jump into a response.

Yeah.

All right.

So this is a tool from a modality called access consciousness,

For principle two.

All right?

Money is neither good nor bad.

Money is just a tool that you can use for good or bad.

You know,

It's like a knife.

You put a knife in the hand of a murderer.

He takes a life,

Put the same knife in the hand of a surgeon.

He saves a life.

Let's not blame the knife.

Let's not .

.

.

In Australia,

Where I studied,

They would say,

Let's not throw the baby out in the bath water.

Yeah.

That's a graphic thing to say,

But they say it a lot and it kind of drives the point home.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So that's principle two,

Nassima.

Brilliant.

Okay.

Let's go to principle three.

Great.

Principle number three.

This is our second box.

And the second box has four gifts,

Which are four principles.

And this is our purple box with an orange ribbon.

We've done one,

Principle one and principle two.

We get into principle three.

Here's principle three.

Principle three is pay your bills with joy.

Pay your bills with joy.

Utilities,

Groceries or school fees.

Oh.

And other things.

Yes,

Absolutely.

I just use that because it rhymes.

That's all.

That is .

.

.

I love this.

Pay your bills with joy because the energy of using money to pay what we need to pay to serve others,

To live,

To survive,

To enjoy a good life is so crucial in determining our experience of those services and of those that we serve.

Yeah.

And can I give a personal example here?

Please do.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

So my little boy,

Rehan,

Who's going to be 13 this year,

He is going to go for braces,

Dental braces.

Great.

And as you know,

Orthodontic treatment costs a lot of money.

It does.

And in most cases,

Insurance doesn't cover it.

No,

No.

Insurance does not cover.

True.

And throughout the process of taking him to the dentist,

Getting a quotation,

Getting him seen,

Et cetera,

Surprisingly enough,

I felt nothing but joy throughout the process.

Fantastic,

Fantastic.

And even when I saw the bill,

And it is a big amount,

I still felt joy because I felt as if I was given the opportunity to serve this child.

And the money almost became irrelevant in that moment.

You know,

It's not a negligible amount of money,

But yet I'm not holding it in my heart,

If that makes sense.

Excellent.

So this is very,

Very,

Very,

Very powerful.

Okay.

Yeah.

Can you tell us more about that?

Sure.

Pay your bills with joy,

Utilities,

Groceries,

Or school fees.

Furthermore,

Pay your bills with gratitude.

Don't begrudge when you pay other parties,

Whatever that payment may be for.

Pay your bills with joy.

Pay your bills with gratitude.

Pay your bills with willingness.

There is a great book titled Happy Money by Ken Honda.

And the tagline of that book is,

The Japanese art of making peace with your money.

And Vishen Lakhani did a great video on that,

Which is on YouTube,

Somewhere you'll find it.

And you could search that video by typing in arigato money.

Okay.

And the principle is really simple.

Every time you are paying someone money or receiving money from someone,

The Japanese word arigato means thank you.

Arigato gozaimasu means thank you very much.

And if you're just placing your card on the sensor of the pay machine that you're paying at a grocery,

In your mind or out loud,

As you feel comfortable,

Say thank you.

If you're receiving a dime or a dollar or a million dollars,

Say thank you and feel the thank you.

And this is the succinct version of that book and the principles in there.

But I encourage you to explore the expression of gratitude every time you breathe in and breathe out,

Receive money or give money,

Pay money to others.

Say thank you to money every time you spend and every time you receive.

Know that that money serves,

The money that you're giving to others serves to grow that business.

Pay those salaries.

And don't worry about whether those people use or misuse the money.

That's not your lookout.

Correct.

Contribute with the right intent.

And then what they do with that money is their business.

Yeah.

Gratitude is the ultimate form of receivership.

When you pay bills or when you pay money for any services that you receive,

Give that payment as a gift,

Give it as a benediction,

Give it as a blessing.

Yeah.

And when you give a blessing,

You get a blessing because we live in a mirror universe.

An important note here,

And I learned this from a dear friend of mine,

Sam Samad,

Who practices a modality called SRT,

Spiritual response therapy.

He said,

When you give money sparingly or unwillingly,

You are no longer giving a blessing.

You are giving a curse.

And then you'd rather not give at all.

Wow.

Have you noticed that when people give with reluctance when it comes to money,

And a lot of times they're giving in reluctance because they want to save and they're feeling the pinch to give away money,

That the less they have in terms of they always find themselves in the position of,

You know,

It's almost like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Yeah.

It almost feels like there's always this not enough money.

Yeah.

Because lack begets lack.

Yes.

Hmm.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yes.

Yeah.

Yeah.

There you go.

That's principle number three.

Yeah.

Short and sweet.

Excellent.

Principle number four.

Yes.

It's called the principle of release.

The principle of release or it could be called the principle of allowance or we could call it the principle of detachment.

And the principle here is when you desire something,

Want something,

Seek something,

Dream of something,

Ask for it,

Pursue it,

Certainly do whatever is required in the physical universe to acquire that thing that you want,

And also allow the universe to surprise you with how it manifests.

You can go ahead and define what you want and when you want it and the size in which you want it and the shape and the colours and all of that,

But the purpose of doing all of that is just to put yourself into a higher state,

Communicate with the universe,

But the higher mind has a greater perspective and a deeper understanding of what you need vis-a-vis what you are expressing as you want and so allow the universe to surprise you with two things.

Number one,

The specificity,

The exact details of how it shows up,

How,

You know,

The things that show up.

And secondly,

Even the timing,

When it shows up,

Let that be a surprise too.

And that release is really important.

Let the universe surprise you.

Let the universe surprise you.

And I want to share an idea here with you.

This is three words and the three words is conceives,

Receives and perceives.

So when I use the term higher mind,

In spiritual parlance,

We understand it's a higher consciousness.

In scientific terms,

This is your subconscious mind,

Which has been measured using EEGs and various mechanics.

And this is also referred to as the gamma state,

Where when you're plugged into an EEG machine with a brain cap and the measurement goes to greater than 30 cycles per second as the metric,

That is now the gamma state.

The beta state is from 12 to 30 cycles per second.

The alpha state is 8 to 12.

And the alpha state is also a great state of ease and relaxation.

And it's the space between the conscious and the subconscious.

It's a kind of semi-comatose,

Dreamy,

Daydreamy kind of state.

Lovely state to be in.

The gamma state is super awareness.

So we got the alpha,

8 to 12 cycles.

And then from 12 to 30,

You have the beta.

The beta is divided into the low beta,

The mid beta and the high beta.

Most stress,

Apprehension,

Tension resides in the beta realm.

The gamma state now transcends that and gets you to a place of higher awareness.

The greatest inspiration,

Channels,

Ideas and intuitions come from the gamma state.

So we've looked at the three words conceives,

Receives and perceives.

The higher mind or the subconscious mind or the super conscious mind,

You can use whichever word you want,

Conceives of the idea.

That's the generator of the idea.

Because that is connected in a sense to your soul's signature.

In a higher,

Non-local,

Non-linear realm.

And these are terms from quantum physics,

By the way,

And have later been used in spiritual language.

But non-locality is a scientific idea which is outside of space and time.

And in many ways,

This is the great unanswered question in science.

What is consciousness?

What is mind?

Where is mind?

And mind extends beyond the body.

But even space and time being illusory,

As proven by the double slit experiment,

Which proves beyond doubt that we live in a holographic reality.

There's a great book by Michael Talbot.

Very,

Very wise guy.

The holographic universe brings in a lot of specificity,

Scientific,

Empirical ideas around this idea,

The behavior of matter at a subatomic level.

And how whilst we think we're observing the universe,

It's actually the universe observing us.

And this is not an esoteric statement.

This is very empirical and they've shown this experimentally.

So the higher mind conceives.

The physical mind receives the idea.

Receives.

And your personality or belief system perceives your past and present events and creates a frame of emotions as a result of it.

So our role in the physical mind is to become the best receptor we possibly can for the conceived ideas from the higher mind and work towards reorienting our beliefs,

Our perception,

Perceives,

So that we can take physical action in the physical universe to apply what is being received from the higher mind.

So the higher mind conceives,

The physical mind receives,

And the personality or the belief system perceives.

And that is this principle number four,

Where we now get into intention minus insistence,

Where I have an intention,

But I do not insist that it must manifest in a particular way at a particular time.

Because the higher mind,

Think of the higher mind at the peak of the mountain.

The physical mind is in the valley.

And therefore the higher mind has a greater perspective of the landscape and is able to guide you on the lefts and rights.

And while you think that,

Why is the higher mind getting me to take a U-turn?

It realizes that that is the safest,

Best,

Most preferred route for you.

And so you've got to learn to trust those ideas as they get downloaded to you,

Delivered to you from that higher gamma state,

Which exists.

And now follow through and observe how the perception,

Which is the resistances to those instructions or suggestions coming from the higher mind,

Cause you to not want to do the things that are coming from your intuition and rather you now wanting to lean into your intellect.

So yeah,

That's the principle of release.

And people say,

I don't want to surrender.

Well,

You know what?

You're not surrendering control.

You're surrendering control to a more capable version of yourself.

Correct.

I was exactly going to say the word surrender.

Yeah.

So in a sense,

Think of you driving a car and you have somebody sitting next to you as a co-passenger who is a far better driver than you.

You're not surrendering control to them.

If anything,

You're utilizing the resources of your senior partner effectively rather than allowing your ego to insist that you must be the one who conceives and receives and perceives.

And then you create blockages to all these fabulously abundant tools and ideas that can come to you to not just get you out of your challenges and problems,

But also bring you into a state of affluence and flow because you deserve to receive.

Yeah.

And so that's principle number four.

Box number two.

Amazing.

Amazing.

Amazing.

Thank you so much for these beautiful insights,

Arjun.

I think lots to think about,

Lots to ponder on,

Lots to reflect for ourselves.

Thank you again for such a beautiful conversation.

Amazing.

Amazing.

Until next time,

Everyone,

Take care.

See you again.
