Free-flow journal writing is a great way to tap into some of the subconscious messaging that our soul wants us to know. This free-flow journal writing exercise is designed to uncover the truths about our relationship with our bodies and how to become empowered to make the changes we want to make. Hello my friends,

This is Nancy here from Nancy Inspired and I'm here with a free flow journal writing meditation in order to help us get clear about what we want in terms of our ideal body weight.

There is no actual ideal body weight except for something that's in your own being.

What is it that you want and why?

So we're gonna do a free flow journal writing meditation to help us get clear about what we need to do,

What we want to do,

And how we need to do it.

So with free flow journal writing meditation I will give you a prompt.

You need a journal.

You can do it in your head if you like but journal writing I find just sort of frees up that inner consciousness place and sometimes if you give yourself enough time while you're journal writing and responding it's it's interesting what kinds of things start to come out and sometimes they're coming from a deeper place.

Things that you may not be a hundred percent aware of.

So I'm gonna give you a prompt and then I'm gonna give you time to write.

Just keep writing no matter even if you don't know what to say you could even say I don't know what to say right now but just keep writing and write anything that comes to your mind even if it doesn't totally make sense when you read it back it might actually make sense later.

So I'm gonna give you a prompt and you're just gonna write and write and write and write and write and write until I bring you back and we go to the next prompt.

All right let's take a couple deep cleansing breaths together and then we'll begin.

Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth just with some gratitude and love for your body.

Your body has got you to this place so far and it is miraculous and beautiful and even if it's not the ideal perfect that we have in our minds this body is magical.

There are things going on every day every moment.

You are breathing and you don't have to think about it.

You are digesting and you don't have to think about it.

Your blood is flowing your heart is pumping and you don't have to think about it.

Your body is a miracle.

So let's just take a deep breath in again with absolute gratitude for this beautiful body that you have.

One more time and then we'll get ready to begin.

Your first prompt is going to be carrying less weight would allow me to and just write whatever comes to your mind for the entire time.

I will watch the time and you just write.

Carrying less weight would allow me to.

All right I'm gonna bring you back.

Hopefully that was enough time to dig in a little bit to some of the deeper motivations that we might have beyond just some of the surface things.

Now in every action and circumstance we make we make choices because in some way it benefits us it serves us.

So let's try and uncover what has the extra weight that you're carrying.

How has it served you so far?

I know that's a little bit of a strange question because we don't often think of it that way but we do choose things because somehow it feels like a benefit.

So let's try and get a little bit clearer.

So your next journal prompt is going to be my extra weight has served me by.

My extra weight has served me by.

I'll gently bring you back.

I hope that that was illuminating for you.

I know that was an interesting question for myself and some of the things that came out were a bit surprising for me.

I hope that it was illuminating for you and if you could find no way that your weight serves you you that's also could be used as motivation and the ways that you've discovered that it serves you perhaps we can find different ways to have that same effect without the extra weight.

The next journal prompt is about getting honest with ourselves and so that we can be empowered to make changes because with illumination comes that motivation.

So we're just going to spend a few minutes on I sabotage my weight loss efforts by.

I sabotage my weight loss efforts by.

Thank you.

Visualization and understanding helps to promote action.

So this one's a little bit different than the first one.

I know we at first talked about you know why you want to shed the excess weight but this one is actually visualizing and creating a scenario that what would it look like to have achieved your weight loss goals.

How would that improve your life and be really clear.

So as you're journal writing this prompt be really specific.

Create a scenario in your mind.

Almost write a story in your mind.

Allow this story to unfold for you in as much detail as you possibly can.

So write a visualization,

A story of what it might look like when you've achieved your goal.

I hope that little visualization was fun and gave you a little spark of excitement.

But also it's important that we remember that happiness isn't tied to our weight we are now or in the future.

That is something internal.

However it can be fun to celebrate some of those successes and that's what we're going to talk about now.

Because celebrating successes generates more success.

So let's take a minute to write about a time that you were successful.

So it doesn't have to be you know this massive goal achieved but maybe it's just one time that you said no when you needed to say no or yes when you needed to say yes.

So let's just reflect on a time that you felt successful in terms of taking care of your body.

I was successful when.

.

.

I hope it was fun to connect to that success and you remember what it felt like when you felt successful.

So our emotions and our state of mind very often are tied to our physical body and our weight.

So we're just going to reflect on our emotional body and what it needs to tell us in terms of our connection to our physical body and our weight.

So our next journal prompt is evidence that my emotions are connected to the choices I make with my physical body are evidence that my emotions are connected to the choices I make with my physical body are.

I hope that was illuminating for you or maybe it was just verifying and validating to put things down on paper.

All right understanding our patterns and why we do things allow us to make some changes.

So we're gonna just take a moment to reflect and write about some of the patterns around food or exercise or our bodies and what are some of the patterns that we want to change.

So our next journal prompt is some of the patterns around my body that I would like to change are some of the patterns around my physical body I would like to change are.

I hope that was coming from a place of empowerment as opposed to any kind of shaming or this is all about loving ourselves and with being grateful for for who we are.

Let's talk for a minute and reflect on a minute about our physical body and thinking about a time where you felt strong and energetic.

I have had lots of times in my life that I felt strong and energetic but immediately as I started to reflect I went to a time in my 20s where I was hauling cable for a company and felt strong and powerful and I haven't felt like that for a while if I'm honest.

So I want you to think about a time that you felt strong and energetic and if it's been a while and you're having trouble connecting to that then reflect on what it might feel like to feel strong and energetic.

So our next journal prompt is being strong and energetic feels like.

Writing that motivates me to want to feel that strength and energy.

So healthy weight is not just about what we put into our bodies or how we move our bodies but it also has a lot to do with how we love our bodies and love ourselves that deeper part of ourselves that needs to be nourished.

So this one is we're going to go deep a little bit here and let's take a minute to listen to what our subconscious has to say about the ways that we truly need to be nurtured because a lot of our habits and whatnot that we build are because we're trying to nurture and love ourselves in some way or protect ourselves in some way.

So this is an opportunity to kind of dig in a little bit and ask our subconscious what is it what do we truly need and what how can we nurture ourselves so I can truly show myself love and compassion by.

I hope that was illuminating for you and that you feel energized and rejuvenated to give yourself that love that you need that we all need.

All right we're gonna close this session with just a little affirmation story and so I'm gonna read it three times and let's just internalize these words.

I am a beautiful strong divine being perfectly aligned with source energy.

I have all the wisdom and power that I need to make the changes that I need.

I love myself and my love for myself is magnified by the divine love to empower me to allow my body to be a temple for that love.

I am a beautiful strong divine being perfectly aligned with source energy.

I have all the wisdom and power that I need to make the changes that I need to make.

My love for myself is magnified by the divine love to empower me to allow my body to be a temple for that love.

I am a beautiful strong divine being perfectly aligned with source energy.

I have all the wisdom and power that I need to make the changes that I need to make.

My love for myself is magnified by the divine love to empower me to allow my body to be a temple for that love.

I hope that this exercise was helpful.

I encourage you to go back and revisit it.

Do it again when you're feeling like you need that extra motivation and I wish you so much love and joy and bliss on your journey.
