Pause and Reflect. Take five minutes to offer a short break to yourself during the day to pause, reflect, and just let go of everything. Try this meditation to reconnect with awareness and to feel present. When we do that, we start to feel a little calmer in the mind, and we're able to then carry that calmness and mindfulness into whatever we're doing.

Allow the whole body to get comfortable and balanced.

And the eyes to gently close.

Just simply hold the whole body in awareness for this moment.

Just aware of what the body is feeling.

Just present.

Noticing the breath flowing in and flowing out.

Not having to interfere with it,

But just simply feeling it.

And if you're happy too,

Just simply draw in a deep breath.

And letting it out slowly and gently.

And another deep breath in and out,

Slowly and gently.

Not just letting the breath find its own rhythm.

If thoughts or feelings are arising,

Then just noticing them.

Not having to suppress them.

Just observing,

But preferring to let the attention rest with the breath.

The rise and the fall of your breath.

Now connecting with the sensations at the tip of your nose.

The breath entering and leaving.

Just connect with your sense of smell.

In your mind's eye,

Visualise the smell of freshly cut grass.

Take a moment to breathe in the smell.

Observe what that smell invokes in you.

A smile,

A flutter of excitement in your heart.

Or a sense of calmness and settling within you.

Or maybe all of that.

This gives us a glimpse of the power of our mind.

The signals sent to our body and how our body responds to these signals.

Let's sit with it for a moment.

The stillness.

The quiet.

Let's just take a snapshot of the stillness.

The safe space within us.

You can return to this space anytime,

Anywhere,

When you feel unsettled or anxious.

All you have to do is to connect with your breath.

Be still and listen.

When you're ready,

Become aware of the temperature around you.

The sounds,

Your thoughts and emotions.

Noticing how calm and centred your mind feels.

Allowing us to bring this ease into our day,

Into our sleep and into the next day.

Allowing your eyes to gently open.

Be aware of your surroundings and then mindfully move into whatever activities that await you.
