Hear how the word resonates within,
And which parts of you,
Precisely,
Do not accept to be in acceptance.
Hear how you may,
On the contrary,
Need to feel resentment,
Anger,
Rebellion against what looks bad,
Destructive,
Or just negative to you.
Hear how difficult it may be for you to accept what looks unfair,
And so many things seem unfair to you.
Your sensitivity takes offense at the images which are so violent,
The spoken words which are so harsh,
The attitudes which can be so hurtful.
All that touches you,
Moves you,
Offends you,
Hurts you,
All this is given to you so you can transform it,
So you can transmute it.
Acceptance is not to be passive or indifferent.
Acceptance is not to say yes.
Acceptance is not to throw in the towel.
Acceptance is to go towards appeasement within,
To get access to peace,
To discernment,
And to more inner wisdom,
Thanks to a salutary form of detachment.
It is not to get isolated.
It is not to break off.
It's quite the opposite.
It is to be able to step back in order to get access to your heart,
To get access to more connectedness,
And to move towards more serenity and unity.
Acceptance is to be lighter,
Is to free yourself,
And to choose this path is to choose yourself.
