Did you know that you carry the whole world in your hands? Yes, you! In this five-finger meditation, we'll go on an adventure around the entire world, to spread love, offer compassion, and deepen our connection to those around us. And all we need to do that is just ONE of your hands. Together, we’ll trace each finger to uncover the magic of connection that keeps our world spinning. By the end, you’ll know just how powerful your hands—and your heart—truly are. - Love, Mrs. Honeybee

Daily Meditation with Mrs.

Honey Bee.

Today in the Honey Bee neighborhood,

I would like to share something special with you,

My little Honey Bee.

I'd like to give you something that you already have and show you something you already see.

This isn't meant to be a riddle,

But can you guess what it is?

Place one hand over your heart and then the other.

With a big breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,

You have all the tools you need to live your very best life.

There are two of them here specifically.

Can you find both?

The first is your beating heart full of love and wisdom and compassion.

But the second one you may not be fully aware of.

The second is the hand that is currently touching your heart.

With these two things,

You can not only change your life,

But the lives of those around you.

This is something Mrs.

Honey Bee does nearly every day to remind myself of all the love I contain so I can become an even better steward of the incredible gifts that were bestowed upon me.

It's my hope that this simple daily meditation will be as transformative for you as it was for me.

Now,

Hold your hand out in front of you and take a good look at it.

There's no other hand in the world just like yours.

It's beautiful and magical and contains untold possibility.

Here's what I mean.

Take another slow,

Deep breath in through your nose and with your other hand,

Trace the outline of your thumb upwards,

Then slowly breathe all the way out through your mouth and trace your thumb downwards.

Imagine how you'd feel knowing each and every one of your family members and friends are as joyful as possible.

Your thumb is the finger that is closest to you.

When your meditation sweeps over this finger,

Send love to those people in your life who are closest to you.

Your family and friends,

Your parents,

Grandparents,

Sisters and your brothers,

Your aunts,

Uncles,

Cousins,

And closest friends.

This is where I think of you,

My little honeybee.

And whenever you look at your thumb or give a thumbs up for encouragement,

You can wish a little wish in your heart for joy to overflow in their lives.

Next,

Let's move to your pointer finger.

Tracing the shape of your finger upwards,

Breathe in through your nose,

Then breathe all the way out through your mouth and trace your pointer finger downward.

And imagine how it would feel if everyone you considered a teacher knew how much of a difference their tireless work makes.

This finger is for pointing.

When we meditate here,

We send love to the people who point you in the right direction.

Your teachers,

Coaches,

Tutors,

Partners,

Spiritual guides,

And anyone else who shapes your mind and opens up your potential.

Next,

Let's move to the tallest finger,

The one that stands above the others.

Tracing the shape of this finger upwards,

Breathe in through your nose,

Slowly breathe all the way out through your mouth and trace your finger downwards.

Imagine that all those you consider leaders lead first with love,

Then with expertise.

Your tallest finger represents those endowed with the gift and responsibility of leadership.

Meditate here on sending your love to the leaders of our world and the organizations that keep us healthy,

Hopeful,

And safe.

If you are a leader of your community,

My little honeybee,

Here is where you can hope a little extra hope,

Not for all the obstacles to be removed from your path,

But for the strength to turn those trials into triumphs and transform your dreams for betterment into reality.

Next,

Let's move to a finger known as the ring finger.

This isn't just a clever name given to an otherwise random finger on our hand.

We put marriage and promise rings on this finger because traditionally,

This finger was thought to connect directly to the heart by a vein.

But notice something else about this significant finger.

Try to lift it without lifting the others around it.

Go ahead.

Try it right now with me.

It might be difficult to do so,

And that's very much the point.

This finger represents the way we depend on each other,

The sacred interdependent ways in which we need love and need each other.

Take another slow,

Deep breath in through your nose.

Then slowly breathe out through your mouth.

Trace your ring finger upwards and imagine a moment in time in which all those who were in need received what they needed without hesitation.

You just imagined worldwide peace.

Our ring finger is typically the weakest finger on our hand,

But by no means does this make it insignificant.

If anything,

To my personal meditation practice,

This finger is the most important.

When my meditation sweeps over this finger,

I imagine giving a giant squeezing hug to anyone who needs comfort.

I imagine speaking directly to the hearts of the hopeless or humbled to tell them that you are not alone,

That you are worthy of all forms of love,

And that you are an irreplaceable gift to humanity.

At any given time,

Someone out there is having the worst day of their lives,

The best day of their whole lives,

And everything in between.

When you set your heart on compassion for them,

Even if you don't know them,

A magical connection is forged between you as a single person and the world full of people.

If you have it to spare,

Spend a little extra time and love on this finger,

My little honeybee.

And finally,

We come to the last,

Our pinky finger.

Take one last breath in through your nose and trace your pinky finger upwards.

Then slowly breathe all the way out through your mouth and trace your pinky finger downwards while you imagine basking in the purest golden light which surrounds,

Embraces,

And lifts you higher.

Finally,

For the smallest finger of all,

Meditate upon yourself and your need.

In the spirit of humility,

That is,

Putting others before ourselves,

Let the end of your meditation simmer on what you love about yourself,

What you want to grow about yourself,

And discern what you have to give as well as what you need to keep to yourself for your own well-being.

Think of what you really need,

Not necessarily what you want in terms of gadgets or gizmos,

But what will make your heart sing with joy,

What will make your spirit swell to infinity.

Feel in your heart how special and so very loved you are just by being you.

Feel in your heart that Mrs.

Honeybee believes in you and that your world is so much better because you are in it.

But also,

On this finger,

Ask for help from all those thinking of you throughout this meditation and believe that their hearts will hear your pleas.

If you are in need,

State that need confidently and clearly,

Reach out and stay open to receive because as this simple,

Handy meditation reminds us,

We are never alone.

The entire world is literally in your hands.
