Over many years and after studying many traditions of Buddhism, I have cultivated my own Metta/Loving-kindness meditation that I "bookend" my days with. I recite it first thing every morning and again at night before bed. I find this practice helps me to "upload" the concepts and my intent to follow them. It brings a great sense of contentment, acceptance, peace, and joy into our lives if we practice it every day. Although it is based in the Buddhist traditions, I have taught this version of Metta to people of many different spiritual, religious, agnostic and atheist backgrounds. May it bring the listeners/participants a better and more fulfilled life.

Greetings and salutations from empowerment.

I would like to share with you my own personal meta or loving kindness practice.

I highly recommend that regardless of which loving kindness practice you utilize that you consider using it as a bookend to your days.

Take the time to do a loving practice at the beginning of your day when you first awake and again just before you go to bed at night.

This helps upload the ideas and concepts within the loving kindness into your mind and also into your emotional state.

I have been doing this practice for many years and I have found it to be particularly beneficial to quell anxiety,

Stress,

Panic attacks and depression.

Please find a comfortable way to sit.

Allow your eyes to go out of focus or to gently close and take three sweeping diaphragmatic breaths filling up from your diaphragm through your mid-lungs and side bodies all the way into the upper lungs and then transitioning smoothly into your exhale making your exhales as complete as possible by drawing your belly button towards your spine.

You may simply listen to my words or you may choose to repeat the phrases along with me.

May I be content and happy.

May I be at peace and at ease with myself and the world.

May I love myself.

May I feel love.

May I forgive myself.

May I forgive all that needs to be forgiven.

May no problems come to me.

May no difficulties come to me.

May I always find fulfillment.

May I have patience,

Courage,

Wisdom,

Understanding and perseverance to deal with the inevitable challenges and difficulties of this life.
