Hurry on and welcome to the meditation of Inner Silence.
Begin by finding a comfortable seat.
Let your spine be straight.
The neck is in line with the spine.
The shoulders are soft and relaxed.
The face is relaxed,
Particularly the jaw.
The eyelids are gently closed.
The forehead is wrinkle free.
And the space between the eyebrows is relaxed.
Let your hands rest wherever you're comfortable and begin to notice the natural flow of your breathing.
You're not changing the breath,
You're simply observing it.
Now as you deepen the breath and the breath becomes a smoother and longer flow with no effort,
Experience a sense of peace,
Joy,
Rest and comfort.
Become aware of the position you're in and fully relax into it.
From this place of relaxation visualize the darkness in the forehead region behind the closed eyes.
Space is called Chidakash.
What do you see?
Perhaps you see various shades of light or some stars,
Some type of illumination.
Just keep focusing on whatever you see,
Whatever is before your eyes.
Continue to relax and feel that you don't have to do anything and that you are experiencing a profound sense of joy.
Be aware that you are thinking,
I am thinking,
But you are not identifying with your thoughts.
Thoughts of any kind,
Shape,
Dimension,
Whether good or bad,
Should merely be observed without involvement.
Now choose a particular thought,
Something you wish to think about.
Retain the same thought for some time with vivid imagination and then dispose of it.
Dash it off.
Do not get attached to the thought.
Practice with attachment.
Vividly continue to imagine what you are thinking.
Now go back to becoming aware of the inner space you see behind your forehead,
Chidakash.
Go on seeing everything in it.
Again perhaps you see some form of illumination or some stars,
Various shades of light.
Just remain aware of these experiences like a witness.
Continue to watch your incoming thoughts and set them aside as you continue your awareness of Chidakash.
Let your consciousness become deep and intense.
So much so that you do not feel like taking your mind away from Chidakash,
Not even for a moment.
Now deepen the breath.
The eyes still closed.
Basically bring the hands together at the heart with the palms touching.
Rub the palms of the hands vigorously creating heat between them.
Cup the eyes.
Open the eyes.
Relax the hands to the side of the face,
Side of the body and all the way down.
Your practice of inner silence is now complete.
