Hi everyone,
This is a short and sweet meditation focused on anxiety.
It seems lately there's been a lot of challenge around anxiety from a lot of folks and I think it's just layers and layers of things piling up and I wanted to create a sweet meditation to try and give you some cleansing from the irritation of anxiety and how it can create circling thoughts that you can have difficulty slowing down or stopping or shifting.
So I'm going to use the bowls again as usual and just take you through a guided meditation.
So if you can just get yourself comfortable if you can,
Laying down,
Sitting in a soft place or pillow and if you need to keep standing,
If you're working in your office or if you're cooking,
Just giving your body a little shake just to make sure you're loosening up a little bit,
Taking some breaths and just beginning to notice your breath.
Maybe slowing it down a little bit,
Nothing too extreme.
Just trying to notice any tender areas of the body,
Places where you might be holding tension.
Sometimes anxiety can cause tension in the body that we're just unaware of.
We may have headaches sometimes out of nowhere or chronic headaches or tight jaw,
Shoulders,
Neck.
Those are the areas we want to pay attention to.
I'm outside in the yurt.
Hopefully you guys can hear the birds singing as well.
There's many,
Many,
Many songbirds here.
I've spread out a lot of seeds so they're here with us making some sounds.
We're making some sounds for them as well.
So just making sure you're comfortable and settling in,
Giving yourself a moment to let go.
Let the thoughts that come in just come and go.
If there are thoughts that are really disruptive to this,
Every time they come in,
Just maybe do a visual in your mind of the sky,
The clouds,
Clear blue sky,
Some white puffy clouds.
Just take a moment to see them every time you have any of those thoughts.
So let's begin by just taking a nice deep inner breath,
Filling up the lower part of the belly.
Just a really,
Really deep,
Deep breath.
Continuing the deep,
Deepening breath,
Exhaling out any stresses,
Any tension.
Allowing yourself to fully be in a state of rest,
Resting your mind,
Quieting your thoughts,
Letting your body be held.
Imagining now the spring awakening,
The sun has returned,
The warmth is returning.
It's returning here,
If it's already returned in your area,
Just focusing on the warm light of the sun,
How it feels on your skin.
See how soothing and nourishing it is for the body.
It calms you down,
Soothes the nervous system,
Releases stress.
Finding your way in your mind's eye to the center of your body,
The center just below your belly button,
Space of power,
Space of light,
Warm,
Golden sunlight.
Let it move,
Let it flow.
It slowly,
Slowly moves,
Turning gently,
Bringing your mind back to a settled place.
So comforting,
It's warm and soothing.
Awakening your heart,
Awakening your creativity,
Awakening your vital energy,
Expanding your light.
Setting up your cup,
If any part of you is feeling empty,
Worn out,
Dull,
Tense,
That warm nourishing light from the sun is feeding into those places.
Feeding it with warmth and joy,
Light,
So much comfort.
Take the lightness and joyfulness of a bird,
A chickadee,
Giving yourself this gift of sensation of joy,
Comfort,
Forgiveness,
Lightness,
Releasing any guilt and worry.
Bringing back to that beautiful and powerful imagination,
A source of creation.
Creation and manifestation,
Music,
Light,
The source of your innate light,
Your spirit,
Your soul,
Your love.
Bringing it back to you fully through your entire body,
Through the tips of your fingers and toes,
To the tips of your hair,
Filling up your body with your innate light,
Your power,
Your source.
Your body knows this well,
Such a natural state.
Your body recognizes the sensation.
It will keep the sensation with you as you move on throughout the day,
Tomorrow,
The next day,
And the week ahead.
Your body,
Your mind,
And your spirit will keep these sensations with you,
Continuing to massage yourselves,
Cleanse you of inharmonious energy.
You'll feel lighter,
More joyful,
And more free.
Taking all the time you need now,
Slowly coming back into the body,
Wiggling fingers and toes,
Breathing in,
Taking your time.
May you carry this with you,
Sending love and light.
