Hello and welcome.
My name is Nune de Simone and it's an honor to be here today and guiding you through a purification meditation.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable seat,
Anywhere that you feel at ease.
Spine is nice and long,
Taking a moment to roll your shoulders up to your ears round and back,
Creating space and lightness.
Your chin is parallel to the ground,
Allowing the eyelids to rest closed,
Otherwise finding a space right in front of you on the ground to gently gaze at.
Relaxing your jaw,
Perhaps parting your lips,
Releasing your tongue away from the roof of the mouth.
Having your hands resting anywhere along your knees or thighs,
Somewhere that feels most comfortable to you today.
And taking a moment to notice yourself seated here,
Becoming aware of your breath.
And in this profound practice we visualize taking in the pain of ourselves and others with every in-breath.
And we'll send out what will benefit them and ourselves on the out-breath.
This practice helps us to reverse our tendencies to avoid suffering and craving pleasure.
As we begin to feel love for both ourselves and others,
We begin to take care of ourselves and others.
This practice reawakens our compassion and introduces us to a much wider view of reality.
Coming back to your breath,
Resting your mind for a moment or two in this state of openness and space.
Opening ourselves up to our basic qualities of goodness and compassion.
And with each breath in,
We open ourselves up to total receptivity.
Breathe in completely,
Taking in negative energy throughout all the pores of your body.
And when you breathe out,
Radiate positive energy completely through all the pores of your body.
And we'll do this visualization synchronizing our in and out-breaths.
And remember,
No matter what comes up,
It is an opportunity to practice compassion for all beings with no exception.
And as you breathe in,
Visualizing,
Collecting all the fear from within you and around you,
Gathering all the fear you've experienced all the way to the top of your head.
And as you exhale,
Visualize yourself being washed away with courage for yourself and others.
Breathing in,
Visualizing dark smoke filled with greed from within us and others.
Gather all the greed you've already seen,
Experienced.
And gently as you breathe out,
Visualizing abundance,
Washing all of that away.
Abundance,
Abundance.
Breathing in,
Gathering all jealousy from all corners.
Gather all jealousy.
And breathing out,
Trust washes us clear.
Trusting,
Trusting,
Breathing out.
Next breath in,
Visualizing sadness.
Collecting all the sadness you may have seen,
Experienced,
Imagined.
And gather all of the sadness from within us and around us,
All the way up to the top of your head.
And on the breath out,
Visualizing joy washing our whole mind,
Body and heart.
Joy washes us clear.
And as you breathe in,
Collecting all anger,
Visualizing anger coming from all corners,
From our conscious and subconscious mind,
Gathering all the anger that may still be residual,
Anger from outside ourselves.
And as you breathe out,
Love washes us all away.
Breathing out clear,
Loving energy.
Breathing in,
Visualizing all ignorance,
Visualizing ourselves,
Collecting all ignorance from around and within us,
With another sip of air,
All ignorance.
And as you breathe out,
Wisdom washes all of that away.
And as you breathe in,
Unworthiness comes,
Visualizing yourself being collecting all unworthiness from ourselves and others with no exception.
This dark smoke filled with all unworthiness.
And as you exhale full,
Clear lights of worthiness washes us away.
Long breath in and a full breath out.
I am breathing in and I am breathing out.
Staying inside with kindness and compassion.
Allowing these feelings of compassion to permeate through all pores of your body.
Allowing this positive energy to radiate completely through all pores of your body.
Allowing ourselves to feel this love,
This care for ourselves and others.
Allowing ourselves to be in touch with our inherent capacity to love with our ability to forgive.
Coming back to your breath once more.
As you take a moment of gratitude for yourself for making this time,
For such profound practice,
Making this time for your healing and growth.
Telling yourself,
Thank you,
I am here with you.
And gently coming back,
Slowly bringing a little movement to your fingertips.
Whenever you ready,
Blinking your eyes back to open.
