Good morning my fellow morning people and thank you for joining me on this delightful day.

I'm the morning person and like Robin to Batman,

You can consider me your sidekick.

Experts continue to find evidence that our thoughts,

Positive and negative,

Don't just have psychological effects,

They also have physical effects.

Advantages of positive thinking include less stress,

Better overall physical and emotional health,

Longer lifespan,

And better coping skills.

That being said,

Getting your brain to focus on the positive instead of the negative is not as always as easy as it should be.

I seem to get stressed just trying to think positive when I'm in a negative space,

Which is exactly what you're not supposed to do.

But I've found a pretty good way of distracting myself from negative thoughts just by saying certain words.

Words that I find sound positive.

Words like happy,

Appealing,

Warm,

And delightful.

These are typically my go-to words for when I need to adjust my thinking.

With that in mind,

We're going to use delightful as our mantra today.

Webster defines delightful as highly pleasing,

And I find just saying it out loud is quite pleasing.

So let's go ahead and get started with our meditation,

And in doing so,

Put some highly pleasing thoughts out into the universe.

Go ahead and get comfortable.

You can sit or I like to lie down,

But find whatever position makes you comfortable.

To get started,

Let's take a few slow and deep breaths to clear out the air and get some oxygen flowing.

We'll breathe in through the nose and then exhale slowly out through the mouth,

Trying to push a little extra air out at the end.

Let's go ahead and get it.

Breathe in.

Now breathe out.

Breathe in again,

And then breathe out.

Take another deep breath in,

And exhale and return to your normal breathing.

Now let's begin with our mantra.

We'll say it seven times out loud together,

And then whisper it seven times,

And then continue saying it to yourself.

Begin delightful,

Delightful,

Delightful,

Delightful,

Delightful,

Delightful,

Delightful.

Delightful,

Delightful,

Delightful,

Delightful,

Delightful,

Delightful.

Now continue to repeat the word delightful to yourself until you hear the next call.

If your thoughts drift,

Just go back to the mantra.

The key is not to force it.
