It is okay for you to not be okay, and by allowing yourself to feel these emotions authentically you can show yourself new levels of compassion.

Hello everyone,

My name is Morgan Orville and I'm the owner and founder of Budding Lotus Meditation.

Today,

I'm going to be taking you through a meditation that focuses on knowing that it's okay to not be okay.

So if this is something that you would like to do,

I want you to start by finding a comfortable position,

Either seated in a chair or lying down on the ground.

And begin by closing your eyes and taking a deep breath in through your nose,

Releasing it slow and controlled out through your mouth.

And continuing in this cycle of inhale and exhale,

Deepening the breath with each cycle.

Allow yourself to find a rhythm that meets the needs of your body in this current moment,

Allowing any tension or tightness that you've had collect throughout the day,

Soften and melt away.

As a result,

You feel your body become heavy as you settle into this space and allow yourself to relax.

Your body may already feel heavy as a result of any worry or sadness that you may have been feeling recently.

I want you to know that it's okay for you to be upset,

For you to feel disappointed in your life and yourself,

For you to feel distraught,

Unhappy,

Disturbed.

It is okay.

It is okay if you feel like you may not be okay again.

All of these feelings are extremely valid and they are what make you human.

You are not weak for experiencing these emotions.

You are not a loser.

You are not a lost cause.

You are a person on this planet who is doing their best.

And that is more than enough.

It is okay if you begin to cry here in this space.

You are safe to do so.

And there is absolutely no judgment for how you feel and how you show up in this space.

Allow these feelings that have maybe been suppressed or locked away to rise to the surface.

Allow yourself to cry.

Allow yourself to release.

Not with an intention of getting better,

But with the intention of validating your feelings.

With the intention of acknowledging your emotions and giving yourself permission to stand in those emotions.

You deserve the right,

The space,

The time to process human emotions.

Because you,

As a human being,

Are deserving of existing in the same way that millions of other people have before you.

Feeling great sadness,

Feeling great loss,

Feeling hopelessness.

Because your ability to do so clears out space.

It creates space for you to trust yourself,

For you to honor yourself.

And most importantly for you to show up for yourself,

Even in the darkest of times.

You are not the only person on the planet that may be feeling these emotions.

You are not the first person to experience these emotions.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with you.

You have done nothing wrong.

To be currently feeling these emotions.

They are part of life.

And they are an inevitable part of life.

There is no need to escape these emotions.

You can allow yourself to feel them,

To release them.

And to move through life the way you are intended to.

Feeling all of its lows,

All of its highs,

And all of the neutrality in between.

You will see brighter days.

The same way that the sun rises after each night.

You will know the light once again.

But if you are experiencing darkness at this particular time.

Allow yourself to stand in it.

And know that it is okay to not be okay.

Inhale deeply here through your nose.

Feeling the air expand your chest.

And exhale,

Slow and controlled,

Out through your mouth.

Releasing the breath.

Releasing and letting go.

Letting go.

I hope you find resolve from this meditation.

Not because you are now without negative feelings.

Because you have shown yourself a deep kindness.

Compassion and empathy.

You have shown yourself love by allowing yourself to fall apart.

And that is so incredibly beautiful.

Sometimes these feelings can feel so overwhelming that you hope that you never feel anything ever again.

But if we numb ourselves to the bad things,

We become numb to the good.

It makes it difficult to feel anything at all.

And in hopes that we will feel brighter days.

And in hopes that we will feel a great sense of comfort and justice.

And loving ourselves when we feel quite unlovable.

I hope you allow yourself to feel all of your feelings.

Your life is important regardless of the stage that you are in.

And the emotions that arise are also just as equally as important.

You may not feel comfortable expressing these emotions in front of other people.

But I implore you to at least feel them with yourself.

In private.

In safe spaces.

And hopefully with trusted loved ones.

I am very proud of you today.

And I hope you choose to honor yourself regardless of what it looks like.

Really lovely. The only thing I'd suggest is to fade out the track at the very end instead of ending abruptly. Very gentle, relaxing, and affirming otherwise.
