Close your eyes.

Get into a comfortable position,

Whether it be laying down,

Sitting cross-legged,

Sitting in a chair,

Whatever comfortable means to you,

Where you don't have to fidget or think about your seat.

Now lay your left hand on your heart and your right hand on your stomach.

Breathe.

Breathe.

Feel the depth of your breath as you breathe in and then out.

Breathe.

Meditation isn't about forcing your mind to do something.

It's not about being able to sit cross-legged on the floor,

Back straight and being utterly perfect for hours on end.

Meditation is in the third eye of the beholder.

It's a state of flow.

It's a moment of calm.

It's finding your breath.

On a run,

In the yoga studio or the floor of wherever you feel most safe.

Meditation isn't about clearing your head so that no thoughts come in.

We are human after all.

Thinking,

Breathing.

It's about finding a moment to be present.

A moment to yourself,

For yourself.

A moment to find clarity or to reset.

A moment long or a moment short,

But your moment and yours only to shape you however and in whatever form you need.

Now breathe in for the count of four.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And breathe out for the count of four.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Now repeat four times in your own time.

Hand on heart,

Hand on tummy.

Feeling the depth of your breath as you breathe in and breathe out.

Focus on nothing more than your breath,

On the counts,

On the way your body feels as it gains a breath and releases it.

But if thoughts drift in,

Acknowledge them.

Then go back to counting.

Now imagine a place where you feel safe.

A place where you feel surrounded by love and abundance and support.

It can be in nature or wherever you feel is home in your heart.

You may need to create this space.

Feel free to expand and make the place you need.

Then go there.

Once you arrive,

Look around.

Observe the things in your vicinity.

The colours,

The sounds,

The textures.

Run your fingers over the things you're surrounded by.

Do you feel warmth or a breeze or nothing at all?

Do you hear birds or just your own breath or out of silence?

Take a moment to take it all in.

Sight,

Sounds,

Smells,

Touch.

In and out as you take inventory.

This place.

This place.

This will be the place you will come to when you need answers,

When you need a moment.

It can change as you evolve,

But this can be how you can access it.

This place is only for you.

For your heart and your mind.

For your subconscious to go to.

You never have to worry about anyone else coming here unless you invite them in.

And I will never ask you to bring someone here who has made you feel less than secure.

This is your safe space to be who you want.

To ask for what you need.

To simply just be.

In this place that feels like home in your heart,

Ask yourself a question you've been pondering for a while now.

Whatever you've been uncertain about or have needed more clarity.

Be as specific as you can,

For vague questions can yield vague answers.

When we're in a place where we feel safe and secure,

We're able to be free.

Free to receive what we need,

Open to the answers we need.

We can find clarity here.

It's okay if it's not coming to you right now.

We may need more time here to get comfortable,

To feel at ease fully.

You can always listen to this as many times as you need to create your safe space.

If you have come across your question,

Ask it aloud in your safe space.

Imagine yourself expressing it,

Then listen in.

The answer will come to you in whatever way you normally receive your answers.

This can be telepathically,

Through the gut,

In your throat,

In your root,

In your heart.

You may find it'll come through to you on paper.

It's different for everyone.

If you're not familiar with this work or you've spent a great deal of time tuning out your internal gifts,

Then it may take some time to shake it to the surface.

It's okay,

And it's more than okay.

It's like a muscle.

It can take some time to make it strong,

But it will happen.

If you have found your answer,

Sit with it.

How does it feel?

Is it what you expected?

Why do you hold expectations around the answer?

What do you need to do to make this a reality?

What might be holding you back?

What's the best that could happen?

What's the worst that could happen?

What's at stake if you don't listen?

Why haven't you acted knowing this internally before?

Only you know the answers,

And you do know the answers.

Trust yourself.

Sit with it.

Ponder it.

Don't judge it.

Judgment is a construct of the ego.

Ego doesn't live here.

Take a moment with it.

Hmm.

Now,

Breathe in for the count of four.

Breathe out for the count of four.

Breathe in for the count of four times.

Take as much time as you need in your safe space.

And when you're done,

Slowly open your eyes.

Sit with yourself for a minute.

Drink a glass of water.

Journal your experience.

Be well.

Breathe in for the count of four.
