When you are ready I invite you to come to a comfortable meditation posture.
Either sat upright with a tall spine or lying flat on your back.
Use whichever is most comfortable for you in this moment.
Palms uppermost if you are lying down and palms resting down onto the thighs if you are sat tall.
Now begin to allow yourself to come into this present moment.
Welcoming stillness and silence.
And take a full deep breath in to the top of the lungs.
And exhale let it all go.
Two more times full deep big breaths in to the belly and chest.
Reminding letting it all go through the mouth releasing tension in body and in mind.
And allow the body to feel good as you breathe in and with each exhale just release any stress allow it to be carried away with each exhale.
Full awareness and attention to the breaths rise and fall.
Exhaling allowing the breath to feel good.
And exhale releasing carrying with the outward flow of breath all that you no longer need.
Just allow the body and the mind to soften and relax as you continue with full awareness on the breath.
There is nothing to worry about right now you are safe here.
There is nothing that you need to be doing other than full attention on your breathing.
Allow yourself to let go of the background noise and be at peace here in this moment.
Finally you may allow your awareness to drop down from being in your mind to being in your body.
Perhaps scanning the body noticing any areas that perhaps feel especially heavy or tense.
Maybe focusing on your chest noticing if there is any tightness there.
It is believed that we hold emotion in various organs in our body.
The stomach for example holds nervousness and shame.
The kidneys hold fear.
The emotion of sadness and grief is stored in the lungs and chest.
And anger and depression is stored in the liver.
Bring your awareness your full awareness to your chest and lungs now.
Breathing deeply and fully into this space.
Feel each lung expand as you inhale and allow yourself to exhale through the mouth with a sigh.
As you do this bring your index finger and thumb to your chest and begin to tap on each lung up and down the sides and the centre of the chest.
Taking deep breaths in and out as you do this allowing the negative energy and emotions in your lungs to release unblock and to flow.
Tight gentle tapping is supported by full deep inhalations and full deep exhalations through the mouth.
And as you breathe out imagine you are expelling this dark blue purple negative energy from the body.
And as you breathe in imagine pulling in this bright yellow positive energy to replace the negative energy that you are releasing.
All the while still tapping over the surface area of the lungs and chest and breathing deeply into this space,
Sighing out with each exhale through the mouth.
Now relax your hands down and just allow the breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Take a moment to re-send your awareness back into your chest and lungs.
How do they feel now?
How do you feel now emotionally?
How do you feel energetically?
