This Meditation will be focused on the difficult times that we all go through in our lives. My hope is that mediation will provide a place of peace, strength, and clarity for you and will give you a different outlook on the trials and tribulations that come along with this gift we call life.

And now it's time for inner peace,

Peace,

And welcome to today's meditation.

Today's meditation,

We will be focusing on difficult moments or times in our lives,

And how we can meditate through them with grace.

Let's take a moment to settle into a comfortable position,

Seated or lying down.

Let your hands rest gently,

Your eyes softly close,

And your body begin to relax.

I would ask that you take a deep breath in through your nose,

And a long slow breath out through your mouth.

Again,

Breathe in and exhale gently and in control.

Now breathing at your leisure,

Let your body sink a little deeper into the space beneath you.

Consciously let go of any tension you're carrying.

Follow the sound of my voice to each part of the body and bring awareness there.

Let's start with the top of our head,

And allowing any tension we're holding in the top of our head to melt away.

Moving down to the forehead,

And the front of the face,

Our cheeks down to our chin.

Moving down to the neck,

The chest area and shoulders,

Consciously releasing any tension being held in this space of the body.

Moving down to the biceps,

Consciously releasing any tension being held there.

Our forearms and wrists,

The palms of our hands and our fingertips.

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

And exhale out of the mouth,

Bringing your awareness to the heart center,

Releasing any tension that may be held there.

Moving down into the abdomen,

And the pelvic area and the hips,

Releasing any tension that may be held in these areas.

Moving down into the thighs,

The hips,

The shins and calves,

Our feet all the way down to our toes.

You are fully relaxed.

Take a deep breath in through the nose,

And a long slow breath out through your mouth.

And now just be for a moment.

The ebb and flow of life is normal for all of us.

We have peaks and valleys,

And sometimes those valleys,

They seem to last just a bit longer.

And sometimes we feel like there's no way out.

We don't know what to do in these moments.

Whether it's our relationships,

Friends,

Family,

Work.

Sometimes life can be overwhelming.

In these moments,

It's important to remember to slow down.

See the bigger picture and take each day one day at a time.

These uncertain moments and pain,

Loss,

They can feel very overwhelming.

If you are carrying something heavy right now,

I invite you to name it silently in your heart.

Let yourself feel it,

Not drowning it,

But just to witness it.

Notice the emotions or any sensations throughout the body without any judgment.

Simply acknowledge that they are present.

I'm going to give you a few moments to look whatever obstacle may be in your life right now,

Square in the face.

With no judgment,

No expectation,

Just this is what is happening right now.

And I will leave you for a few minutes.

Go fully and completely through the mouth.

And say softly to yourself,

I'm having a hard time right now.

And for the next few moments,

I want you to sit and ask yourself and listen for what is the lesson.

Stillness will give you all the answers you need.

Feel the weight of what you are going through and remind yourself I'm doing the best I can physically and mentally.

Allow whatever you are going through to be without trying to change or control it.

And just know this is temporary.

This too shall pass.

Most obstacles show up in our life to teach us a lesson.

We are supposed to learn something from this obstacle.

That is one of the most beautiful things about life.

We are constantly learning and growing.

And then sharing the information we learn with others.

Bring one hand gently to your heart.

Feel the warmth there.

The steady beat of life.

Let this touch be a reminder of kindness.

The kind of kindness you would offer to a dear friend.

Offer that same compassion to yourself now.

Say quietly in your mind or out loud if you feel comfortable.

May I be gentle to you.

May I be gentle with myself.

May I find moments of peace.

May I know that this too shall pass.

Life is not always easy.

But you are not alone.

There is strength and softness.

There is courage in simply showing up exactly as you are right now.

Breathe that in.

Bring your attention back to your breath.

Notice the sensation of each inhale and exhale.

Allow your breath to carry you back to the present moment.

Let it ground you.

Allow it to anchor you.

What are you hearing in the room?

As we come to the end of this practice,

Gently bring your awareness back to the room you are in.

Where you are lying or sitting.

Is there a blanket?

Is it cold?

Start wiggling your fingers,

Wiggling your toes,

Moving your legs,

Bringing the energy back into the body.

Before I bring you fully out,

Know this.

You have made space for yourself today.

You,

You showed up and that is more than enough.

Try and take a moment to appreciate just the simple things that you do have in your life.

Even during difficult times.

Peace.

And so much love.

Beautiful meditation. I love how grounding it is, perfect from start to finish. It will be my go to when I’m struggling with something, thank you!
