Locate yourself here and now Become familiar or reacquaint yourself with your own presence When you find yourself in this here and now Recognize that there is no difference between here or now or you You are one with this here and now Neither is here in space nor is now in time And you are neither in space nor time You are one as presence See this in your own experience Don't let my explanation become an idea to be contested with For you to see this ordinary truth and by truth i mean in this case presence your presence You are the same as here which is the same as now This truth can be verified at all times,

Anytime,

By all of us,

Any of us Everywhere and anywhere That's the quality and metric of truth So what stops us from seeing this ordinary truth is two things One is a constant tension and knots in our body which are created from fear,

From our beliefs,

From survival mode And two,

From the thick cloud of thinking that isolates and separates us from everything else Including the simple observation of the truth of our own existence So one is the tensions in the body and the other is the clouded mind And what i mean by tensions in the body simply is that our body is not at ease It's not transparent in our subjective experience of it If there is no discomfort of any sort,

If one is not in pain Then our bodies should be transparent to us as if they don't exist And there should not be any problem That's why in the olden days or even now for that matter Some parts of spiritual exploration require eating clean food,

Doing yoga and increasing flexibility Our body is a machine and for any machine to be functioning optimally it should just work smoothly Otherwise our mind is constantly preoccupied by the pains and niggles That the body is inflicted upon Or the mind is lost in feelings,

In dense emotions felt in the body I'm sure you remember how you feel after a celebratory dinner like Thanksgiving or Diwali How heavy and dense you feel in your body after that meal,

Lethargic So there is value in purifying our body so that our mind is not preoccupied with it all the time So although it is helpful,

It's not necessary if we can disentangle ourselves as awareness,

As presence from our body But being preoccupied constantly obscures us from seeing this From seeing this fundamental truth about ourselves,

About this moment,

About now And somehow our culture has programmed our bodies to be perpetually in panic,

Rushed,

Dictated by a clock This kind of dynamism in the body creates a next level of obscurity Things that are right in front of us are not even noticed But when you come to a session like this This entire dynamism comes to a screeching halt The tone and the rhythm of my voice is specifically designed to help calm your body To create a safe space so that it can let go and relax To facilitate you from disentangling yourself from your body right now By seeing all the bodily sensations arise in the space of your awareness If you can ignore the superimposition of the visual image of your body From the actual first-person experience of the body You'll find that all there is to your experience of your body is Merely bodily sensations Some are dense sensations,

Some are sparse Some have a higher amplitude of vibration,

For instance,

The sensations around your face While some sensations seem to be dormant and sleeping Nonetheless,

When we see that the internal experience of our body Without the superimposition of the visual image This internal experience is a cloud of sensations And when we see it,

The tensions,

The knots Suddenly find themselves unhooked,

Unhinged From the mould of the visual perception of our body From the straitjacket of what they should look and feel like And there is room for them to unravel,

Evolve The tensions can unravel and release in the space of your awareness But if we are constantly preoccupied by our feelings,

By our emotions By these tensions It interferes with us seeing ourselves as this awareness One with this now And the other piece of the puzzle The first being the body and the other being the thick cloud in our mind The constant commentary in the mind that creates such an opaqueness That we are almost absent to most of our experience Especially our sense perceptions Of sights,

Sounds,

Tastes,

Textures and smells Even the simple act of seeing Has a constant commentary Closed captioning if you may Going on Where the current perception Is being compared with something that you have seen before Some memory in the past That instead of being with the perception,

The sight You are lost in the mind Preoccupied in the mind A sort of opaqueness develops And nothing seems to penetrate This thick cloud Of thinking Of commentary Constant thoughts about I,

Me,

Myself Being a victim,

Being hurt Like a constant movie revolving around this protagonist of I,

Me,

Myself Instead of merely Looking Seeing Instead of merely Hearing There is a cacophony of Thoughts Questions Judgements Explanations Comparisons Reminiscing Correlating Extrapolating And again This meditation Is specifically designed The tone,

The cadence So that Even the dynamism in the mind Slows down Slows down enough For the mind You to first Observe To verify Whether what I am describing is True In your experience or Not And sometimes Your mind might slow down Enough Where you Unshackled from Identification with the mind Can Take a dip into this Now Into the Piece Of this now A dive actually Not just a dip And if we observe carefully This cloud Of thinking Is constantly About I I like I dislike I agree I disagree I want I don't want Or sometimes This I is implicit He did this She did this How can they do this?

This is so absurd This is constantly going on Non-stop Whether you are driving Showering Eating Even meditating The truth of our experience Is right here To be explored To be taken Home But we are busy Busy Busy in this thick Cloud And this Preoccupation In the opaqueness In our mind Creates more tensions In the body It's not that We are happy When we are thinking about I,

Me,

Myself We are miserable And that Misery percolates Into the body Feeding The thick cloud of tensions Within the body So it Ends up creating a loop Of being lost If you are not lost in the mind You are lost in the body Being lost Being isolated Being secluded Yet We might not even Know this is happening I know this To be true in my experience Before I Started exploring this That the entire life is a blur Barring some events And I am a blur That's how beautiful This design This illusion Is This Which the Indian tradition It's called Maya Which literally translates to illusion Although one might think That this illusion This maya does something It is responsible For us being lost But actually It is just a design That We naively Fall for Get enamored And lured into And the more We are controlled by fear The more this dynamism The more dynamism The less truth That's why it's important To come to a session like this To slow down To ride the wave Of my voice And allow it to take you To the shore Allow your body to be taken to the shore Allowing your Mind To be taken to the shore This dynamism Obscures the truth From us And I don't mean facts That you can think about Argue about,

Research about I mean truth That liberates you From thinking itself In untruth I,

The awareness Is pushed into the background So far away And I,

This separate person Has an entire movie Going on Around itself What helps us see This truth Easily Is the transparency in the body And the transparency In the mind When the body is relaxed When it's at ease When the mind Is not in conflict There is a small window where the truth can shine And our eyes Are present For it But somehow we have become caged In our own lives Through our own Actions The tensions and these thick Dense clouds have Imprisoned us And that's why we find Ourselves perpetually Struggling Through life And although on the surface It might seem that we are struggling With life With people With situations With circumstances But that struggle Is inside And don't get me wrong As I said the design of this illusion Is so damn perfect The matrix That we seem To be inside Is So perfect That for ordinary people Like you and I Unless Someone Points us Towards it And if there is Availability In us With a transparent Body and mind That it becomes Nearly impossible to see Through it And not only that This design keeps us Entangled By its design More and more This teaching That I have been so Lucky to Inherit it From my teachers That once Someone points at it Shows you this illusion And you see it Even for a split Second That dive Into this now Is enough To start The process of Crumbling Of this illusion And although I said Earlier that this design Is so perfect There is one loophole A very Important loophole Which can Bring us back To truth A sort of feedback mechanism And this loophole is Suffering Psychological Suffering Every time we suffer It's a call to look Inside To reflect To question To investigate Explore If we were truly happy In this matrix In this simulation There would be no need For any of us To be here In this session And the reason we all are here Is because we are suffering So suffering Is a part of this design Which means that When we think life is Bringing suffering to us Actually life is Constantly pushing us Towards Peace and happiness Towards Finding the truth In this illusion Of Maya Sometimes these Questions Or glimpses Come to us directly as gifts Especially when we are in nature Or when something so Tragic Happens in our life that The mind is dumbfounded While other times The drip by drip Suffering Becomes Too much to bear That we are Forced To ask questions And to find answers Find someone To tell us the truth To tell us What's going on inside This opaqueness of our mind This Knotted body Is a call for us To slow down To slow down more And more And then to cooperate With this exploration Out of our interest To be happy If it calls out To us When there is no other option But to Walk this path To find out For yourself By yourself How To dive deeper And deeper in this now In this moment Completely Free This psychological suffering Is the most direct way We are being led To finding peace and happiness Long term Peace And happiness So instead of Ignoring and avoiding Our suffering Instead of Escaping our suffering By blaming someone else Or something else We can use it To free ourselves From these Tensions From this thick opaque cloud Of Judgment,

Comparison,

Commentary Fear And let our presence Shine through More and more Until we become Fully one With this Here And now Until we fully become One With this moment
