I invite you to get down from the train of your thoughts. Leave the theatre of images in your mind. Come to this moment—without fighting, without suppressing. Just come back. This meditation reveals how we've knowingly bought into a lie. Like entering a movie theater—you know it's actors pretending, yet minutes in, you cry with characters as if it's real. You'll recognize yourself as the space of awareness—unchanging, transparent, untouched. Everything comes to you and leaves you (breath, sounds, thoughts, attention). Waves crash on the shore and retreat. You remain unmoved. The dangling carrot of thoughts lures you away. Don't fight it—just don't be lured. Withdraw all voluntary actions; let everything involuntary continue. Zoom out from experience and see the space in which thoughts/sensations appear. Like physical space remains uncut by violence, you remain unstained. You are the truth. All change cannot be truth. Can we see through this? Can we suffer as truth?

Allow your struggle to stop.

Do not fight with whatever is going on.

Allow your struggle to dissolve,

To rest in this moment.

Withdraw from judging,

Criticizing,

Fighting with the labels I like,

I don't like,

I agree,

I don't agree.

Let this judging thinking,

Habitual,

Unaware thinking,

Come to rest in this moment.

The light and sound show in your mind of thoughts and images.

Be disinterested in them.

Get down from the train of your thoughts.

Leave the theater of the images on your mind and come to this moment.

Without fighting,

Without suppressing,

Without pushing anything away.

The only thing is to come here.

Let everything else be as it is,

Just you come back.

If you are caught up in any particular thought repeatedly,

Just unhook from it.

See that it is merely a dangling carrot trying to lure you into it.

Don't fight the carrot.

Just don't be lured by it.

In this moment,

Allow the experience of sense perceptions and bodily sensations to come to you without any labels.

Experience this unique yet ordinary phenomena of hearing,

Sensing,

Seeing without labeling.

Resist the temptation of escaping into thinking and just stay with hearing and sensing.

Sense the movement of your eyes.

Sense the movement of your breath.

Sense the movement of your belly.

As your attention moves through these various sensing,

Recognize that you are aware of the movement.

You are not moving.

The attention is moving.

The sensation is moving.

And you are aware of that movement.

Even calling it movement is a very theoretical way of describing it.

So let me be even more true.

True to what our real experience is.

This movement is not random movement.

It is experienced as coming to you and going through you.

As your attention moves,

It comes,

It peaks and it leaves you.

My sound comes to you and leaves you.

Your breath comes to you and leaves you.

Your attention moves,

Comes to you and subsides in you.

Let go of all coming and going.

Let it come and let it go.

You stay as you are.

Untouched by the coming and going.

In the process,

Thoughts might come and go as well.

Don't grab at them.

Don't lean into them either.

Stand your ground without losing yourself in the coming and going.

If you find yourself talking to someone in your mind,

An image of someone that you seem to be talking to,

Recognize the foolishness of merely talking to yourself and embrace the silence.

Essentially,

Withdraw all voluntary actions.

Let everything involuntary continue on its own.

All your sensory perceptions of sounds and sensations happen even if you do not do anything.

They are just flowing.

The waves are crashing on the shore of you and retreating back.

If you did not talk to yourself in your mind,

The images keep flashing in your mind involuntarily.

There is nothing to be done there.

My voice is falling on your ears,

Being understood,

And you are wiped clean of it.

All involuntarily.

Find yourself as this immovable awareness in this ever-changing experience of life.

Everything that comes and goes,

Everything that moves,

Everything that changes has a name and a form.

Every atom has a name and a shape which distinguishes itself from every other change.

But you,

The unchanging,

That which does not come and go,

Does not have a shape or a name.

All shapes are shapes of change that are coming to you,

That are experienced when your attention falls on it.

Not only do you not have a name or a shape,

You are also transparent,

Clean,

Pure,

Unstained,

Unaffected.

So,

Zoom out from all your experience and become aware of yourself as the space of awareness,

As the transparent space of awareness.

What you experience is thoughts,

Sense perceptions and sensations.

When you zoom in,

When you zoom out,

Become aware of the space in which the thoughts,

Sense perceptions and sensations appear.

Just like all objects in physical space leave the physical space untouched,

No matter how much violent events happen in physical space,

The space is unaffected,

Uncut.

Just like that,

Recognize that all thoughts,

All sensations and all sense perceptions leave you untouched.

You,

The space of awareness.

It's like trying to read a book.

As long as you are focused on a single word in the middle of the page,

You can only see the letters and the words.

Once you zoom out,

You can see the entire page and all the letters.

More importantly,

You can see the page.

So,

Zoom out and recognize the space of awareness that you call I.

You don't have to call it I,

But if you were to call,

You would call it I,

The first person experience of yourself,

The truest representation of I is you,

The space of awareness.

Not the changing,

Coming and going,

Name and form objects,

But the immovable,

Ordinary,

Immediate space of awareness.

And just like in physical space,

Nothing is a problem from the space's point of view,

Nothing that appears in you is a problem from the space of awareness's point of view.

You know,

I heard a beautiful analogy about a filmmaker trying to explain what a film is,

A movie is.

He says that when you are outside a theater,

You know that what you are interested in watching is a lie,

Is false.

It's only actors pretending to be gladiators.

Gladiators.

The whole infrastructure that is built is only for entertainment.

All of it is untrue.

Knowingly,

We buy a ticket,

We go into the theater,

And even before the movie begins,

They tell you that these are the actors and these are all the crew members that helped put this lie together just for entertainment.

And yet,

A few minutes in,

We have bought into that lie.

We have bought into the story as if it's real.

We cry with the characters.

We get angry at other characters as if it's real.

What if the same explanation could be true about what we experience as the space of awareness with the movie being projected on us,

Inside us,

As sense perceptions including sights,

Sounds,

Tastes,

Textures and smells and subtle perceptions like thoughts and images and bodily sensations.

What if we are just forgetting that we knowingly bought into this lie and we have lost ourselves in it.

We have identified ourselves with the characters and the roles that are being played.

Because in my experience right now,

I am the unchanging and I am experiencing all the changing.

I am the truth.

All the changing cannot be the truth.

Just like in a movie.

Can we see through this untruth?

Can we recognize ourselves as the truth?

And can we suffer as the truth?

As the unchanging that is never affected by the changing?
